When I try to combine dust and earth, the game gets stuck saying "Checking reactions on community server, please wait..." and never finishes.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You don't want to make the game too easy, but at the moment it gets frustrating... How about a compromise: after you've selected the first element, grey out elements which you've already tried to combine it with. Blindly trying everything still takes forever, but at least you don't keep trying the same combinations over and over again. (Oh, and after a successful reaction, please remember which groups I was working with; having to find and reselect them every single time gets boring rather quickly.)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Perhaps to keep elements to a minimum, either "grey" out used elements that are no longer needed for later game-play, or a put a number next to the element to show how many more times its needed for use....this will eliminate pointless clicking and the creation of elements that you already have...

The main problem with this series is we need to understand how the game's creator thinks. Some of the obscure ones are almost unguessable, especially as the new ones are so strangely grouped - I'm looking at the science category in particular. The more items you create the harder it gets to find the right combination - perhaps there should be a way to find out that one item has no more combinations?

Still kinda fun, but giving us even MORE ridiculous combinations to figure out with no idea what we are doing is only making you the champion of games that are being beaten with a brute-force algorithm. There is no creative thought taking place when we are playing this because half of the game makes no sense at all.
If you had it work up through technology levels, we might do better, but even then, we would have a hard time getting into your mind for some of the combos.

What I really hate about this game is until you get all the combinations to finish chapter 2, you can't make the chapter 3 items. For example the White Russian, and Tequila. I've tried countless times to combine milk + Vodka, and Worm + Vodka and they never worked. However in chapter 3 when the "Vacation" group is unlocked you can now combine both of those combinations. It's not fair having to recombine things you have tried in the past just because you got a new group.

Checking reactions on the community server, please wait that is what i get now when i try to merge elements is this right i never had this years ago

The comunity server thing makes no sense, and just wastes time in the game. Can it be removed, or be something the user has to enable?

Its one thing to actually create an interesting chain that really shows some logical evolution. (Creating the sun, space, and planets, ect ect.) Its also not bad to make sort of illogical joke combinations. (White Russian? Coffee?) Whats bad is when these illogical joke elements become critical parts to larger chains and you end up getting into ruts as some random silly thing isn't found yet holding back the fun stuff.

I want to like this game, but I can't. The concept is good but clicking through all the random categories to combine random things is pointless. It would be fun if there was logic or consistency in it, but there isn't. One moment you're combining fire and water and you're thinking - yeah, steam, okay, that makes sense. The next you're combining void with glass or laser with book and you're thinking - well, thanks for the lightbulb and laser.
Add a point to the game. Think of a strategy - what will combine, and what will not. Vastly improve the user interface. And remove the need for random guessing.

Guys, search up Doodle God 2 Walkthrough on Kongregate helped me get the badge. BTW, thx Kongregate for not making it a 100% but, ya know, "Meh, close enough". Your plug will go red, but once you get 20 and you exit walkthrough, connect again/refresh you should get it.

refreshing the page repeatedly over and over because the community server check takes forever, not worth it, 1/5 only because i can't rate 0/5

I basically look at this as an idle game. Get a hint, click away for a couple minutes until the counter expires, repeat.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Well, that's a game completely broken. It's pretty much unplayable with the 1 hour long "checking reactions on the community server" message, based on other comments the badge (Which is the only reason you'd even want to bother with this game at this point) is also apparently unobtainable as you can't access Episode 3 and thus can't unlock 20 element groups.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The idea is good, but the execution is not. At some point you can't think up new ideas so you got to wait for the hint every time, unless you simply start combining every bloody thing, which would require a very special personality that doesn't have the ability to get bored. Also, some of the combinations go from weird to totally insane (example: water+glass=ice? It doesn't make sense). Some elements are very weird (like freezer or boiler) while normal elements are missing (like beach). To continue, the fact that there's no way of knowing which combinations you've had except looking it up the the reactions history or remembering makes you repeat the same combinations over and over because nobody can remember every combination he has used and most people probably don't use the reactions history because that's also a lot of work only to look at what you've already done. It could also be very useful if there's a way of indicating that an element isn't necessary for other elements anymore

Yeah, not gonna lie... waiting until people post the answers and coming back for the points. The original was a cool game, but this is just way too tedious to deal with.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've played the previous game in this series and I'm disapointed to see the creator of the game didnt take next to anything that fans have said ,no gray out possibilities if an element has finished its reactions with other elements or if you have tried the reaction previously. It's still a good game but it's disappointing that the fanbase was ignored.

te entire freaking game is broken fix it now!!!
i dont want orange screen
i dont want to check reactions on community server
i dont want 1.5
i just want to play!!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I love the improvements this game makes over the previous one! Especially the shorter time between availability of hints.
Although I have to chuckle a bit realizing that I created and populated an entire world, not only with humans before dinosaurs, but with no sun.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The game as it can be accessed right now has 140 elements and 15 categories, which would correspond to the version right before Doodle God 2. So it seems like the game that's showing up right now here isn't DG 2 but essentially DG 1.5. Episode 3 can't be accessed and thus you cannot get 20 categories, meaning the badge is still unavailable (not that it seems to track how many categories you got anyway...)

So it's a sequel that ignores any suggested improvements to the first game, but gets more annoying because of the huge number of things to combine along with the mental contortions you have to go through to figure out what comes next.
The first third or so of the first game was fun, because you had a constant sense of accomplishment. After that, it became a process of elimination with a lot of frustration. This sequel seems to skip over the first part and go straight to the second.
