how do I add bridge to nex islands? I had unlocked 3 island but it says error when I try to go on other. The water is darker in the middle so I assume i need to unlock anything else?

Sorry, but your interface is very inconvenient. Inventing something new is a very good thing. But you should really check if your new variant is better that the existing ones.

I'm a little desperate so hoping i might get some help here cus I'm trying to start a colony, i got enough stuff for it but the expansion office refuses to take from a filled market and there's no other way for me to get the stone needed over there ;-; Am i thinking about this wrong or what should I doooo???

i like how the welcome message says that you need a working brain, but the person who wrote it clearly didn't have one as 90% of it is just jibberish that makes absolutely no sense

Hi there :) great game so far. thank you.
bug I have noticed at this moment:
1) if there are more then 9.999 in stock in a building, then it shows not the right value.
For example:
12 176 then it shows in the little preview icon in the building: 12 17. The last number is missing.
2) sometimes if a I set a new colony, and the people takes the boat to that and dies, then the boat is hanging and nothing happens. the only solution is to move the expansion office and to delete the dock there the boat hangs.
3) if I do a new research in tree mode/tab, then the new possible research cant be choosen. only the tab change from tree to list an back show the research button for new research :)
Feature Request:
1) See the same building types when one of them is selected

Finding new colonies if the crew on a ship dies then the ship will no longer transport and you can never get a new colony.

Me again :p I'm having a problem where my managers are laying off too many people on the animal farms. I have max animals and try and keep max workers, but the managers lay most of them off and the animals die. Help!

The game is wonderful (maybe too much because I am spending a lot of time on it!)
But two things that I would love to see in a future release are:
1) a storage for intermediate products (as bronze, wool, and so on). This would help the pipelines so much, right now I need to do the final step buildings close to the raw materials building, or transfer things through sea to use as a storage, and that makes it much more convoluted.
2) Maybe more info popups for items produced? Some items don't provide their information (like clothes) and we need to look into the individual people to see what the effect of those things are, and for the others, looking for the producer building to check the effects its also quite annoying. This is just a extreme nice to have, but well, just to leave it somewhere :)
Again, really great game :)

Am I doing something wrong? Meat isn't being produced. I've got workers in there, got 100 water and 100 barley, 4 animals that live die and get harvested, but no meat is coming ut of it. Help..... Kinda stuck as a result of this.

Game looks great but it's litterally bigger than my screen rn. That makes it completely unplayable. Would love to give it another try once this issue is fixed.

Seems unfair to rate a game badly just because of browser or badge issues, instead of the actual gameplay. This game deserves better than that; it's great.

Stop making game display sizes larger than their display areas. This is a very basic goof that is easily patched on the development end.

a little advice for people who have unlocked trade. Pay attention to transport slots, I didn't notice this at first but some goods are far more effective to transport than others, for example, you don't want your people lugging wood around your city, but food is very easy to get from place to place with trade.

You have such a good way to implement progression in all of your games but this is my new favorite. You can constantly improve things without having the feeling that you HAVE to do it. Its such a chill but complex game and every new piece you get brings new ideas to the table how to rearrange things.
One 'negative' would be that Im having big trouble to rearrange stuff because I always fear that this microcosmos of 100 different things falls apart when I change to much at a time. But the game's difficulty is just fine so that you dont have to do that to an excessive amount.
Great respects from a fellow gamedev.

So looking over my comment again it may have been a little unclear so to summarize: Rearranging buildings to improve my city is slightly frustrating, so to improve Quality of life could we either have it where i either get resources back when demolishing a building or could you make it so i can temporarily store buildings off the map and then put them back once I'm ready to put buildings back
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So I've been playing this game f long enough to be getting ready to research colonization but before I do that I'm doing a overhaul of my Organization for my economy but since i stated on that I've found that rearanging stuff could have some better quality of life for example when turning one area of the map into my food production area i didsnt want to push everything to the side and then put it where i wanted it to be so i just deleted them so now while that part is being built my Population has gone down by nearly 50% because my economy counted ont he buildings that were already there. so instead of forceing everyone to slowly rearrange could we either have it where i can deconstruct a building and maybe take 50% of the recourses used back to make rebuilding faster or could we have it where all buildings could temporarily be stored off the map and then put back wher i want them instead of putting them in a big space at the bottom of the map while i design roads?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Didn't know there was names and info for the buildings until hours in because you can't see it from the bottom of the screen. Where you select the buildings..

Deleting docks work when there are abandoned boats on there, and my colony got all the wood, but now the workers are doing nothing. I need 7 more boards and at one point there were dozens of boards almost right next to it in a sawmill, but they didn't take any. What's going on? The colony also says that the storage is only 1% filled. Does that mean that I have to do this 100 times?! It already takes over an hour with x10 speed to almost fill up the colony once. I'm not doing that 100 times. Especially since it can just bug out at any moment.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
My expansion office and colony failed with 4 wood remaining (boat got stuck) and now when trying again, after a while of not collecting wood or boards, they finished collecting everything, but now they won't go in the boats and also there's an abandoned boat at the colony with 3 boards in it. I'm about to abandon this game if colonies don't get fixed because there's not much more I can do with the limited space I have. Everything is full already. I need to expand.

it's really amazing how much markets suck before you unlock the wheel. And even then they're not all built equally. Granary and Goods Market feel hard to justify even with wheelbarrows. One is a huge building just for a single ressource that's also super slow to do anything with and the other one is severly hampered by the 25% threshold.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I knew you could do it. Been checking since you first uploaded. ya FF. I was completely confident when I gave you those 5stars I would eventually be playing.

Can you add zoom in/out as buttons? I like playing management games on a laptop on the train to/from work and this touchpad is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough, setting me at just above or just below my preferred zoom
Also, F to fullscreen doesn't seem to work on chromebooks,(notification about how to close fullscreen comes, but it doesn't change anything else, but this could also be Cos being weird)(F11 not tested, F keys don't go that high on a chromebook, and is more a Fn-row)

I rebuilt the expansion office and it brought the 4 boards, but the boat got stuck in the water and the person died, so do I have to do the whole process again?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
My colony failed. It's missing 4 boards. 3 of them are still on a boat on its docks and the other still has to be brought while the expansion office is not doing anything anymore. I guess I won't be able to go to that new island.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I would like a longer range for the manager. I don't want to waste 8 spots for just a manager. Often he can't reach a building and I'd have to sacrifice a whole 'nother house for another manager.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Is there any benefit to having a free thinking range when you have unlocked field study? Field studies are 4 times as small and 3 times as fast, so have I been wasting space and research points with all my free thinking ranges?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's so much fun when one wheelbarrow garage has 5 extra wheelbarrows and the other one has none at all, so it works 16 times too slow for no good reason.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I hate how 25% of all buildings have to be production buildings or markets because otherwise not every building gets what it needs. So many markets just to get the right tools to the correct buildings gets so annoying.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
**Possible SPOILER**A lot of small details for this game. Wheelbarrows are essential for the markets, otherwise the workers spend too much time retrieving goods and the stores are depleted too fast for them to fill. Every now and then I had the urge to wipe the city and rebuild it, but I never did. Once I got the expansion to other islands through colonies I felt glad I didn't. Left the first island as it was and built the civilization I wanted in the other islands.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The tool market barely works. My small boat maker is in range of the tool market, but doesn't get any stone tools until I move the tool market much closer.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
so far really fun game, i am confused on the mechanics of markets, lots of folks dying of thirst 20 tiles from a water source and 10 tiles from a food market.

Lots of negative comments because of the browser issues and because of the way in which Kong seems to select BOTD without speaking to the game developers first, but I think the devs themselves deserve some credit for a well-designed game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If the dev is going to make a browser based game, it should run on more than just one and force people to install another browser. I shouldn't have to have 4-5 browsers installed just to run edge-case content because the dev is too lazy to code for multiple browsers.
To be honest I was looking to see how far I can push things with pure javascript and simulating thousands of entities in one go. (this game is more like a simulation really). Firefox hit me a bit too late in the project with a limitation I did not expect - I know better now though :p. If you know other games that can simulate thousands of entities in web browsers with relatively big map+zoom+mouse scroll and framerates of 2000+ticks/sec, please let me know. I would be really curious to learn the methods they used in the game to achieve this and improve.
I am sorry about this. BOTD are not synced with the developer. I had no idea about this. I came to see comments as I usually do and saw a huge issue here and rushed out something I had been working on for quite some time. I would have wished to polish it further, but seemed better to release firefox support faster.
