Under rating threshold (show) Here, game is updated. All reported bugs fixed. Major changes in ship's behaviour. Now they sometimes fly in packs. Also, attacked ship will call reinforcements from nearby stations, and will be assisted by nearby ships of same faction. And also, ships will try to shoot down rockets fired at them. Not that they are too good at that, but at least now they try:)

Under rating threshold (show) Occasionally, certain 'to expensive' items will allow you to purchase them. Normally you get the red cannot afford it message. I haven't noticed a pattern to what allows one to purchase regardless of cost. It's a fairly rare bug, and only viewable if you click on an item that you cannot afford - a rare action for more experienced players because there's nothing to gain from doing that. If you buy one of these, you're stuck until you sell it. That puts you back where you were, only possible loss is if you replaced your previous, affordable item with the thing you shouldn't have been able to get.

Under rating threshold (show) I got negative money as well in the early, early part of the game. Perhaps from accepting a package. Getting killed also reduces negative amounts by half as well.

Have your tried to stay in top-left corner of the map? Have you tried to skip time while you are inside station, until strong enemies will fly away?

Under rating threshold (show) what the hell how come i can't DO anything everytime i leave station i get killed, i can't get better equipment cause i keep getting shot down, i can't finish missions cause i keep getting shot down! i just started over and i got an enemy who takes me out everytime i leave station, and when i respawn...I REPSPAWN NEXT TO THE ENEMY WHICH MAKES ME GET SHOT DOWN AGAIN!? game sucks cause i wasn't able to do anything due getting shot down multiple times

Under rating threshold (show) 2impet Thanks for report, I'll fix that. Also I'm making changes to make battles more massive - ships will move in packs, will assist ships of same faction, and there will be reinforcements flying from station. So, you should learn to kill your victims fast:)

Under rating threshold (show) Some of the achievements do not function. The 'Turncoat' achievement doesn't register progress when you change a faction, and it doesn't complete when you've switched between all five. The 'weapons' achievement won't complete, at least not with rockets. Haven't seen any weapon except a rocket yet which could kill even the weakest ship with one hit.

Under rating threshold (show) Fixed starting-cobra thing. Haven't noticed it's that powerful. Also - upped droid effectivity and missile energy consumption. That will make a "kill with missiles from far away" tactics a little less effective.

Under rating threshold (show) I love the free-form game. I do have to say that starting with a cobra is kind of annoying though, you have nothing remotely equal to upgrade to for a long while, but I think that's just a bug. I do wish there was a way to build a small fleet of ships and store them somewhere when I'm flying the small ones.

Under rating threshold (show) 2Impet Oh, got it. Bug with escorted ship is because I forgot to set velocity of the ship when I spawn it. Bug with Cobra is because it has same code as repair droid. I'll have to test that game is still working after fixes, and then will submit it. Thanks a lot for detailed bug report, it really helped.

Under rating threshold (show) *grins* My replacement game is going well, probably 'to well'. After about 15 minutes of play I found a weak 'Primitive-2 light R-1 cobra' for 23,000 at thistle, a base with a tech level of 3. Of course, a weak cobra is better then any other ship out there by a lot - I'm happy with my 'bargain bin find', of course - but it probably shouldn't have been possible for me to get this ship yet. My Trader level is currently only 5.

Under rating threshold (show) I figured out why I wasn't getting escort missions to work. I was hitting 'Fly out' instead of going straight to the map, which apparently makes your escort ship disappear.

Under rating threshold (show) That bug's wicked. I happened to quit at a very advanced station. Only have 1.5 million in money, and the ships available have either a hold space less then 2500, or are to expensive for me to get. All the neat stuff I have been finding and saving, I have to lose it, and I'm almost certainly going to be attacked by bunches of ships that see me when I leave the station - ships who had politely let me pass in the cobra ;p

Under rating threshold (show) And, deep sadness. I had a cobra-type ship for hours of play, needed a break, saved and closed the window. I come back without a hull. I was so lucky with that hull, it had only been a million. It's gone now, and my inventory space reads 14219/undefined. I hope it's just that specific cobra, and not every one I ever get again that goes poof, those ships are rare and expensive still!

Under rating threshold (show) Also, even as I go up in 'danger' (currently elite 7), these enemies really are not that much more capable. They never shoot my rockets, for instance, allowing me to just scoot ahead of them 1100-1500 distance away firing rocket after rocket and picking them off.

Under rating threshold (show) With the combat, it seems like these ships are only firing at you when you are within visible range. Some of the weapon systems I can get have a range of 3000, surely some of these NPCs have equal distance, but they never use it. I don't get shot at ever if I stay just over 1000 distance away.

Under rating threshold (show) 2StaticUniverse Combat system do need a LOT of work. Making combat complex and interesting is rather hard. Especially one-on-one battles. May be if I'll make ships moving in groups, so player has to fight with several enemies at once, it will be more fun... I'll make "storing things on station" feature too. Hopefully it will not inflate save file size too much.

Under rating threshold (show) 2Jade E When escorted ship is faster than you, then it's usually is in the same exact spot of the map, and could not be visible behind your ship. Hmm, I'll try to fix that. As for tech improvements - your equipment stats should not change. I'll check that.

Under rating threshold (show) Great game! Couple of things I'm curious about though. First, I haven't gotten an escort mission to work yet. I take one then fly out of the station, and nobody comes out after me. Second... When you gain a combat rank and ship tech improves, can that immediately improve the ship you're flying? I gained about 2000hp and lost about 1000 capacity and I'm not sure what happened (I know I didn't buy it on accident or something, the new ship is worth over 10x what the old one was.) The only thing I can think of that happened recently is I got promoted from 'Mostly Harmless' to 'Poor', which said that ship tech was being bumped a level.

Under rating threshold (show) This game rocks, by my standard. It's free-form. You're an independant agent, you take any sort of work you want, you go whereever you want, you don't belong to anyone or anything. There's a lot of randomness and variety, which to me makes it feel more like a real system instead of a narrow game. I enjoy how the economy works, even though it lets you sell purchases of equipment that you used for full value, and weapons (even rockets) need no ammo. You need no fuel. And you can explore and achieve your galaxy out, with the achievement list as the only boss telling you a bunch of things you could do next.

Under rating threshold (show) fun game. just pretty hard when you're starting out. i think the starting config of your ship needs to be changed. my ship doesnt have room to transport cargo and it doesnt have enough firepower to destroy/protect other ships.
