Well I guess I have to listen to the feedback and even if I disagree and am not particularly happy about it the consensus seems to be I should put the game back up, so in an hour or so I'll re-up it with a note about it being in beta etc. Thanks again for your feedback

should upload or kept it as a beta while working on full game that way u can gain new ideas and more feedback seeing how it was an accident i even found this game i dont see it getting popular as a broke game

Couldn't you just made a copy of the game code to edit there, then once it's ready, delete the original code and put in the new one... or something like that?

Never played it before. Can't play it now because you pulled it down for quality issues. 5/5 More developers should be willing to admit their game needs more work.

I am DISPLEASED. I was physically able to build a 94 shield-level, and my max was 90, and I was only able to make 71. If I can't, through cleverness, outpace my enemy then the game is poorly coded.

First impression: Having a hard time reading the help text. Maybe it's just me but the letters are fuzzy looking and poorly spaced on my display. After playing for a while, I am disappointed that there is no benefit to leveling after all 10 skill points are obtained. Also, the Retreat warning should really scale up with game length - you should at least have time to forge a shield between the warning pop-up and the defeat drop-down. As it is, my games typically end with those two events being simultaneous.
Thanks for the feedback, I think the text problem is the font, will try and change that for the next version, and you get 100 extra starting gold per level after level 10 but I take your point and will try to think of some other bonuses for 10+

So i've read everyone's feedback and have a bunch of ideas for changes but it will take a few days so I think i'm gonna pull the game so I can make it better and relaunch next week. Thank you everyone that left a comment and thank you all for your support

i realy like it it would be nice to get one where i can fight back but is extremly hard what do you use to make your games ??

A stats page and/or progress per game graph would be real nice, or at the very least list stats from last two battles on upgrade page rather than just the latest stat.

Ref: shields again: I also don't like how you can never get a shield higher than damage. I think you should change this as it would make for an interesting gameplay. If you are worried about a win just make it impossible to kill the last enemy soldier.
Worried people will just go pure mining/shield to keep shield constantly ahead of dmg and it will make the game one dimensional and boring *edit* thought of a way to do it, will put into next update.

You could make this an idle game simply by creating an auto-restart function, or if you really want to get fancy an auto-play function. If you want to separate the manual and auto games that would work too.

Good game. It seems like I was leveling faster before you made the change, but that is ok. It does get a little tedious though, and the feeling on a 'grind' starts to come into play a little fast. Well done though.

Shield upgrades are kind of a bummer. A bit too much variability and lack of responsiveness to upgrades for my taste. I'd like to see my upgrades working a bit better.

each time you level up it gets harder and harder to lose (and you may want to fix the shield bug I had it at 100% but the forge guy still threw 6 out...)

Shields are not working as they claim to work. For example, at 100% proficiency with cap at 60 and shield strength at 60 / 60 and invaders at 40, you will consistently forge lower values than the current invader attack, in this example around 35-37.

Been having a problem with the shield upgrades and crafting. I pushed it early to get good shields. They have like 16 damage and I can craft between 30 and 30 strength. Except I consistently get about two points below whatever they're at, regardless of how well I can make my shields. :P
No, the skill point is there, just not showing at lvl 1, I already uploaded a new version thats fixed it. Sleep deprivation starting to affect me I guess

why on earth can I have 100% shield crafting efficiency, able to craft basic shielding 60, with the appropriate forge level, and STILL only craft shields slightly below enemy attack level *at this point, 23 something.*? that seems kind of.. stupid.

Please get rid of the SLOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWW Game over banner, its useless, just end the game, it takes like fifteen minutes for that shit to descend
If your defenders reaches 0 you lose, your troops are only recruited at set intervals determined by recruitment i.e 30seconds, so you could have 30 defenders left that are killed before your next recruitment party returns even though you have higher recruitment/sec

I like this game.. but a few minor suggestions: add a skill resetter, and I love to get some extra exp in the end of a game based on stats.. because leveling up is quite slow now

4) Perhaps 1 time defence buldings like some archer towers, that whoud be destroyed wehn the battel line reached them whoud be a nice risc-reward upgrade.
5) Add a button for resetting you levels so you can redesign you char. this whoud make for higher replayvalue because you can start as Mage or knight and whoud allow the player to reskill there hero when them missklicck.
6) I think mor and different tinkg to craft or Skills to get after leveling up whoud be nice, but will come with future Upgrades ^^
Thanks for all the input, but apart from any bugs people find I think i'm going to leave the game where it is and focus on my next game, in 2 or 3 games time I'm planning on making a multiplayer version of this and I might incorporate peoples ideas into that one.

hi cool game concept ^^
But here some tips i thought about wehn i played the game.
1) the Idler in the titel is a bit missleading because Idel games are mostl game you can run at the backgrond and check them only from time to time, perhaps you shoud serch for a more fitting name
2) Give the defenders swords too , please. I felt realy bad for these guys that wher running as human shilds in the enemy to dely him, perhaps with a sword at there hands i don't have to feel so gilty for screfiseng them by the thousends.
3) The idea of the comabt as a meter is great, but i think some mr combat anymations whoud be doing a nice job so you have somethin to watsch when you saving for the next upgrade.

It's a good game 5/5. Just one bug : i can't unpause the game, even if i save and refresh the game :s the only thing i can do is to restart :s

Game seems pretty solid from feedback, so today I will just be rereading the code to check for possible bugs or exploits and adding the first new ‘game mode’
Game mode – ‘Get rich quick’ – see how fast you can get 1,000,000 wealth with a high score of lowest day that will be available when I relaunch the game tomorrow without idle tags
Still trying to think of a name for relaunch of game so please help me with some feedback current name ideas as follows -
