Those with Firefox, make sure that you allow cookies to be saved from RealmofEmpires.com and Kongregate.com . That tends to be the case or problem.

To ItFollowsMe: You may need to logout of your Kongregate account while in the Realm of Empires window and then log in, this usually fixes the problem. This happened to me before, hope this helps!

Ok, TO EVERYONE WHO HAS TROUBLE LOGGING ON, I HAVE STEPS FOR YOU TO FOLLOW TO HOPEFULLY HELP YOU! #1, what web browser are you using? Firefox users have reported trouble logging in to Realm of Empires, and does not allow the user to play, to fix this, either use internet explorer or google chrome (chrome is the better option than internet explorer). #2, have you checked your internet connection? Some problems are related to connection to the internet, so check your internet, if you aren't sure what is wrong, then troubleshoot your internet. And finally, #3, have you done a virus check on your computer? (obviously) viruses make your computer slow, and therefore can hamper your experience. Check your computer for viruses by using a virus detection tool (usually your computer/laptop comes with one).

The handholding tutorial that forces me to do only one thing only encourages us to leave. A quest system that tells players how to do important things and gives minor rewards for following through is a better system.

I didn't catch who/what the rebels are rebelling against, whether their cause is just or not, or why the game expects me to be hostile toward them.

for some reason, the game requires that i log-in twenty times before it works; and it will only work after it asks me to submit a bug report and opens in a new tab. it only asks me to submit a bug report on a random basis which is populating less and less. the developer's advice on this does not solve the issue. computer is up-to-date.

On twenty long-ins. Game still not working. Constantly requiring me to long-in. Only works when the game gives me the option to submit the bug report, but that option only appears at random. Developer's previous response was of no use.

So far, this game seems to be surprisingly well balanced in regards to people not buying the premium currency, due to the ability to get the items for free, and the (comparatively) low power premium upgrades.

Hello Luka, and sorry for that issue. It happens when there is a problem with cookies. If you want to give the game a try, we recommend either starting again with a different browser, or deleting ALL realm of empires cookies in your current one, then restarting it and trying again.
Sorry to hear that Plob. This is usually a cookie issue. The easy solution is to try using a different browser. The other is to delete all Realm of Empires cookies, restart your browser, and try again. You can email support@realmofempires.com for direct assistance from our support team.

Altwing, please try the following options: (1) Try playing in private browsing mode. This disables most plug ins and if the game works, that means there is a conflict with one of them. (2) Try using a different browser. (3) Or three, email support@realmofempires.com for more detailed assistance.

I was expecting to hate this game, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Still not my type of game, so I won't be playing past the badges but it's pretty good compared to other similar games.

TheHex, this happens when you have another building queued ahead of the silver mine. Try clearing your queue completely, then starting the tutorial quest again. If that does not work, contact support@realmofempires.com for help.

i am playing this game and i like it..a few things i would change would be the report system, when i X out the menue it should return to the page to refresh my reports not stay on the same report i x out of. its not that big of a deal but one of the things i didnt like so far

So far the game doesn't seem so bad. I like that i'm not constantly being told I have to buy 'x' thing. There seems to be a system in place(kings fortune) that gives non paying players a chance to get items.

Technically "RTS" and "strategy" aren't false tags, but I really wish that all these clock-limited, build-a-town-and-invade-other town games that are all basically the same game would be tagged as such.

Reading reports can be a pain in the tush. Often times it doesn't even tell me it's loading, just nothing. Too heavy burden for the game engine/server or something?

I had my governor earlier but he disappeared! I checked all my villages and there is no governor to be found. There also were no attacks to or from any of my villages since! PLs help!
Did you take over another village? Governors that conquer a village remain behind to maintain your control. (They are used up when you successfully lower the yea under 50%)

Update: also tried their solution (deleting al ROE cookies). Still the grey screen :( Was just starting to have fun with this game after getting my badge....

Same here. Game doesn't load anymore. Tried upgrading my plugins (flash and unity), but still doesn't load the game. Just a grey screen.

Two different computers, two different browsers on each one and I see a blank white or grey space where the game screen should be. Guess I won't play this.
That is a very odd bug. I'm sorry you're having trouble loading the game - issues like that are almost always a cookie problem. Two suggestions: One, if you were using a private browsing mode, try playing in normal mode. Two, try deleting all realm of empires cookies and then accessing the game again. Bonus suggestion: If you are using Chrome, give it a spin for our game.

Got the badges... I really have to say that this PTW game is far better than the rest. No flashing buttons all over the screen with super flashy, shiny armored things everywhere. Simple format with a clean look. It is still a PTW game, though.
You can pay for some things in our game, no doubt. I will say that historically our leader boards are split evenly between paying and non-paying players, and we have been working hard to add new ways for players to earn premium currency inside the game. Our goal is to make sure that anyone who has time and skill can compete and achieve success.

Thank you to the developers, this is an enjoyable game. Does anyone have a theory about how the loot from a rebel raid is calculated. Distance? How long since last raid? village size? I don't see a correlation ~ anything from nothing to thousands.
Thanks for playing, we're glad you're having a good time. :) Rebel villages produce silver the same way that your village does, and fill up slowly over time. How much silver they make depends on their silver mine - they upgrade over time too. At least until you take them over!
