I really liked this, the puzzles are different from what I've seen in other games, so it is well appreciated. Took me longer than expected to figure some of them out. GJ! 5/5 :)

huge lag when i go east to try and find the whatchamacallit seed. all other screens before it have been fine.......making it real hard to play this part of the game.

The moment when you light your lantern and realize you could just as well thrown it away 'cause its pretty much just as bright...

He finds a boat, then he finds a couple of oars, heads back to the boat, where maybe oars might help and says he does not have any? He then finds a locked door, later finds a key, returns to the locked door, only to say this door is locked?! Hmm_ maybe, just maybe the 'key' could /fit/? Maybe those 'oars' would /help/ him on his journey? 3/5 stars (room for improvement).
You're supposed to figure things out for the character, it would be too easy if he did everything for you, wouldn't it? So when you, as a player, have the idea to use oars in a boat, you are supposed to open your inventory and USE the oars when near the boat. As for the key, your character says that there's already a key IN the door, so no, the key you found elsewhere won't fit, it fits somewhere else.

How do you move the cart? all I can do is get(and sit still) or they get out of the cart, no matter what switches I hit.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The section with the cart was quite misleading. I watched it completely ignore the direction the track was facing in two sections. Eventually I had to look it up on a walkthrough. In retrospect, my plan wouldn't have worked anyways. But I would have figured that out sooner if the game hadn't lied about the the path. Fun game, still.
Hi, I don't know how exactly badges are awarded. When I loaded the game now, after the badges have been added, I was automatically awarded the easy one, but not the medium one (despite having completed the game, of course). So, the opposite of your situation. But you can easily get the 1st 5 tokens again, that's less than 10% of the game.

I noticed (being an anime/Japanese fan), that he says "Megami be praised..." indicating wordhip. I can only assume you got it from the Japanese word "Megami,", meaning Goddess, right?
Hi, yeah, there are several nations in Nebezem, each with their god/goddess. The "water" nation worships Sui-Megami, or Megami for short, which is a Japanese word for goddess, as you mentioned. This nation's language is based on Japanese (and Chinese, to an extent) as you can see in the characters' names.

i haven't played any of the "episodes" in this series, but so far the story seems a good base. the puzzles at the start were good, but along the cave some of the puzzles were a bit... illogical? (source of water? i'd also add the wand but that could also just be my personal expectation) it felt more of an annoyance than a eureka moment tbh. but all in all, i still might play some of the other eps :)

I really liked this game and the other Tales of Nebezem short games, so I decided to get Elemental Link (which I recommend).
Now I'm playing Gnomish Plot for the second time to check more connection with the big story.
I didn't notice before that Görpl interacted with baby Maoti!
She's one of my favorite characters in Elemental Link.
Yes, she's a dear character to me as well :) I thought it would make sense that she already met him as a baby. She has a strong impact on Maoti later when he's a young man, but it's fun that Maoti isn't aware that they've met before.

im curious did you also work on the jacksepticeye fan game bc i see lots of similaritys with menus im probly wrong and they are templates for making games but so far good story i like it alot

I'm having a problem with a glitch. I am on the board with the focus crystals, and i walked off the board back to the cave accidentally. When I came back to the focus crystal board I now have two fire crystals showing so I'm stuck and cannot complete the board.

Really fun! I love that this game is a puzzler. The puzzles are really good, not too easy/hard, and they feel like they fit into the story. A really really solid game!

This series is just fantastic! It's actually so rare to find good online games nowadays, specially with a really great plot and great puzzles. It's actually everything I expect from a good game. You and VasantJ are definitely my favorite developers here on Kongregate.
Really loved all of the games so far, especially Elemental Link (since it ties up everything so well!), I would really love seeing more and more of your work.

the part where the red gnome cast a light spell on herself is really laggy for me, don't understand why, besides that the game is awsomme, the universe is original the character are interesting, you even made up a culture with it's own slang, the puzzles are pretty easy for me so far but the story more than makes up for it 4.6/5
That part is laggy for a few people - you can turn off Lighting effects in the menu, that should remove the lag. Otherwise thanks a lot for the praise.

What a great game! Good story flow and well thought out :D Puzzles were just challenging enough and when you get stuck, you can use the help stones! 5 out of 5

Holy crap. Just under 5 minutes in and already impressed. This is better than, shoot, I'd say 99 percent of the PURE CRAP out there. Well done! Please make more! In fact, looks like you have a bunch of other games you've made. Finally I have a fun game to play during my off-hours. SWEET!

I love that the gnomes who kidnap the baby aren't bad guys, and you switch to playing them, giving you a different perspective.
It's not an RPG, so no levelling, turn-based battles or equpping gear. It's an adventure with puzzles, about 6 hours of gameplay and story, and there are fights (spellcasting) in some parts of the game that rely on agility and strategy.

well i would say something about this game but when i hit new game i get failed to read the localstorage property from window : access is denied for this document .

Also stuck on the cart part. Walkthrough states the cart should stop at some point (i normally wouldn't read but since every possible combo failed, even running and switching while cart is running) . Cart however always resets, no matter what i try.
When you start with the red lever switched to the left and the blue lever switched to the right (and the bottom-left gap in the track closed), the cart should stop after passing the middle tile. At least it always does for me, no matter what else I do.

Btw dev, did you get Qwert's name simply by pressing the first 5 keyboard buttons on the right of the TAB button? I've seen many site usernames be "qwerty". :P
I thought it was a good name for a gnome, they all have quirky names, not just the 4 in this game. Of course I realized from the start that it's the 1st 5 keys.

Um, about the part where you pick up elemental crystals to dissipate their corresponding barriers: you made Air's color blue and Water's color green... that's kind of the opposite of what many of a generation of gamers have come to know. Not just gamers, every reference I've seen has water blue, and air is usually green or a very light blue-grey (like what you made the air crystal look like. Not a big deal, it just threw me off for a good moment. :P
I know it's a little controversial. Physical water and physical air are both colorless, but the sky appears light blue and the ocean looks dark blue with some shades of green. The choice in games is arbitrary, with water mostly depicted as blue, that's true. On the other hand, in old alchemical/hermetical tradition (not in games), green is assigned to water and blue to air. As elements, water can be seen as the opposite/counterpart of fire, and green is complementary to (or the inversion of) red; the same goes for air/earth and blue/yellow. I decided to go with this tradition, despite the modern standard (in games) being what you described.

I'm super confused on the mine cart puzzle, once the cart reaches the top right, it seems to not follow the track I have layed out for it, just returning to the start no matter what configuration I use

...XD So, in the beginning, the Midwife said "Merry Flow" to the other lady... I almost wondered if she would have said "Merry Stream" to the guy... :P
Lol. These people are of the water element, so they like to use water metaphors etc. These are their standard greetings (Calm flow, Joyful flow, Peaceful flow, and so on).
There is no audio in any RPGMaker as well as many other games in Chrome since several days ago. EDIT: I've managed to re-enable audio blocked by the new Chrome update. But it only starts playing after you click on something (e.g. New Game).

just fantastic- already played elemental link on steam- these are so high quality i think you ought to be selling all of them there- well worth it.
Hey, thanks a lot! However, lots of people won't pay for games, and thankfully, Kongregate is generous with its monthly contest, allowing you all to play these for free. Whoever wants to support me and play more, they will buy the Steam game. And then there are those who only bitch about inevitable glitches or having to accept cookies. :D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I strongly dislike games that make me accept 3rd party cookies. This creates a high risk for my computer. The game might have been fun but I now have to go clean out all the crud from the cookie jar and that is not fun.
The game saves your progress, that's all there is in the cookie. No cookies, no saving. Lots of people would hate if they were forced to play in one go. Sorry.

Cool and fun game. i love the problem solving and the 8-bit graphics take me back to my childhood. I do however get a script error anytime i click off the game. its SUPER frustrating! I have to reload my game every time. Please fix this.

All I get is "Security Error. The operation is insecure." and nothing else. Would've loved to try the game but yea, RIP
This seems to be a problem on Kong's side, I'll ask about it...
EDIT: Audio still works in Firefox (at least for me), but it's muted in Chrome for some reason. o.O
