Fun at first but the entire last word becomes a grind fest. The last boss is piss-weak and when has a boss constantly spawning enemies NOT been annoying? Also, why implement a leveling system if I'm max level before I'm even halfway through the game?
Overall, it's pretty good but theres not much too it. I'd like to say it's 4/5, because of how good the beginning is, but I can't give a game with that weak of an ending (as in last world gameplay, not the story) more than 3/5

Pretty fun, but exp seems like it was added just to say 'you can level up' when really you'll hit max level half way through and way before you get the final shield which still boosts exp gain.
Pretty well done, but I wish there was a bit more to do. It's fun but it's over rather quickly.

Ugh. people stop making "rate + if you want badges" not to be a troll (lol) but games get badges after being rated 4.10 and up. sorry, it just gets annoying seeing every post like that.

Love the game agreed with dee4life it would be nice to just be able to hold down the button. Needs BADGES hit + if you agree.

the reason ppl cant get double jump to work all the time is because they go too far off the edge (falling off counts as a jump) then they double jump when there falling, so start your jump sooner also, if you spin, you already double jumped.

Wow...I was all prepared to give this game a 5/5 and add it to my favorites. Then I got to the last level. Up until then, with a decent bit of skill and luck, and the right equipment, you can get through the game just fine. The last level though sucks any aspect of 'skill' out of the game. It just becomes 'fill the screen with bullets as fast as you can.' Very disappointing end to an other wise well made game. 4/5, because I can't in good conscience take away more than 1 point for one horrible level.

quite fun at the beginning, but getting boring/monotonic after a while, no respawn points between levels -- that sucks (especially at the last one, I died in the middle or something a few times and now I have absolutely no more will to play it again, screw the ending... XD),
it's adequate to have something to do for a short time (f.ex. a boring lesson in school when you're allowed to "use" your laptop *cough* XD), but that's once and that's it then...
3.5 of 5, but because floating point values are not supported by kong it drops down to 3...

Amazing game all around. Berzerk Studio is without a doubt one of the best independent flash game studios in the world.
The only improvement I can think of would be for the game to pause if it loses focus; it's easy to accidentally click outside the window when you're clicking everywhere like crazy, and the few moments of unresponsiveness that results can be fatal.

You guys at Berserk never fail to amuse. Excellent and simple graphics, never got sick of the looping music (good choice), straight-forward concept with a wee bit of a challenge with staying alive. My ONLY complaint about the game is making those stars a bit harder to find. For a meaningless add-on to the game, they are blatantly obvious. Perhaps force players to take a couple leaps of faith.

I am loving this game, but it seems as though the weapons selection and upgrades are lacking in substance. They all perform in about the same way in all situations, and once you have the three way rebound gun, everything that follows is incredibly Disappointing. Perhaps a 2 weapon load out using q/e to switch would be better. Then weapons could be made to be situation specific. (ie: long range, short range, indirect fire, bullet spam, precision, strong vs type, weak vs type etc.) Don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic shooter as far as style and gameplay are concerned!

What's the point of putting the XP bonus on the shields if we get the max level halfway through the game? skills system isn't very exciting and the fire fury skill doesn't work all that great. Overall the weapons are pretty bad ass tho.

Nice game, Would love It to have badges, Also I would love to see checkpoints so If I get owned just before the end I don't have to restart all over.

Anyone else have the bug where if you put your mouse off screen the game glitches and when it gets back to your character you are invisible? Well it's pretty annoying... other than that, fantastic game. If i didn't have that glitch once every few rounds I'd say 5/5, but as of now 4.5/5

5/5 Game! Great artwork and as always from Berserk, great music. Cons....Balance issues, XP is irrelevant after halfway through world 2, the equipment is good but could have been planned out better. And the laser doesn't always connect with everything in its path and seems to do random damage at times.

I'm not sure if it's a glitch, or if Double Jump has a cooldown, but falling into a group of enemies you thought you were going to leap over isn't fun. IMO, the only positive thing about the game would have to be that there's no gun that's "the best" with maxed stats, forcing players to experiment and buy different weapons instead of saving up for the 1337 gun. That, and it's much faster-paced than The Breach (which I found to be agonizingly slow until I got the speed suit). Disappointing, but worth a playthrough - 2/5

Hmm, where to begin? There were no noticeable differences between each level set (or level, for that matter) beyond appearance and two new types of enemies. The enemies were still the same, they just had higher HP and were more numerous in the later levels. Bosses were almost identical, with the same attacks and abilities (whatever happened to the variety we saw in The Breach?). Easy to kill as well, assuming the player bought a few Shield upgrades. How the shop worked was also rather confusing, after buying the second gun the ones under the first and the second unlocked. After acquiring the Tomahawk, the third row didn't unlock. Instead, 3/4 of the second row was now available? Now, the skills...its annoying to have GunBot not grab the edge after multiple attempts, just as its annoying to have Double Jump fail at what seems to be the worst time possible.
