Yeah, after playing some more, I have to agree with that. It's just getting worse and worse. The last straw was the lvl 30 arena boss. Why the fcuk would you need to give that snorefest 5 billion hp ? You can get him stuck at a corner, too, makeing it even more tedious. Carpal tunnel syndrome, the game.

Sadly, it's just hour after hour of boring and repetitive hack and slash. Zelda at least had interesting stories, characters and settings to keep it fresh.

@theNickyboy: Actually, despite the top-down perspective it resembles the second Zelda game more, with the leveling system, health and magic meter styles, and so on.

To Dawndmon: No, the FIRST zelda game that came out did NOT have a spin slash, though it was a very cool game and definitely introduced a few new things to the gaming world.
As for THIS game.. It's pretty fun, definitely got some funny dialog, and some groaners, I like how it took elements from a few of the old zelda titles and made a neat lil retro style game. Decent time waster.

realy.... its 2013 and still games like this where you attack up down felt or right exist.... even the first zelda had a sword attack that strickes all around you.... 1/5 for failing to realise this thing...

Good game, but there are connection issues when it comes to hitting foes, especially coming from the left or right, which is a big deal in a game like this. 4/5

While being a nice zelda-clone, the pacing and balancing suck hard. Bosses are complete pushovers, their only saving grace being their shitload of hp, which will make you fall asleep an get hit from time to time. Monsters clipping through terrain, every weapon but the swords being useless except for that one part wheer it is a gimmik...etc

Levelling health reduces the damage you take, as does better armor; you get more hearts by finding them in caves and certin shops. Same goes for levelling magic; magic attacks take less to cast. Attack and weapons improve melee damage. Cutybunny and butterfly are one-time encounters by slashing certain bushes in the second world. There are 30 rounds in the arena, and yes you can do it twice to get both prizes. The axes' special abilities can be used to hit 2 or 4 switches if you get between them. EVERY cave and fortress is worth exploring COMPLETELY. Farm bosses for best xp gain. On a personal note, the first time you get 5k gold, I suggest you buy the sword; early on and through most of the game, the best defense is a good offense. Good luck! (+) to keep this comment alive

second boss always summons on top of me -_-. I tried short range w/ sword, mid range with axe, and long range with staff and he stills summons right on me...
