Quite good idea and design totally wasted by poor gameplay with lame power players killing anyone at sight. Wouldn't spend a cent on it, because it's kind of games I call "pay us more or fight with stick".

your all idiots the GIANT SPACESHIP is called a Goliath ... and if u want to play it GO TO DARKORBIT.COM ITS A BETTER VERISON
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
plus, it is SUPPOSED to be there. it isnt there just to kill you if you just started. Just as an obstacle to your mission.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
if you want to play this game for real, just go to www.darkorbit.com and join the usa servers, west or east, global(USA) if you want a lot of people to play against, join global, smaller communities in west and east, but this is pretty much an old server and there are more you can join at said link.
And it is not that bad of a game. Sure, theres a lot of $ involved if you want to be a top player(compensating), but just read the DO bible and start shooting stuff in the lowers, level up and get to the uppers, gain credits and uri, pick up bonus boxes, and your gona get up there. But mostly i play for the clan i'm in, thats pretty much it. I don't even look at my rank or what my rank points say. Sorry for long comment. Hope you like the game ;)

Yet again a game where the cash players have a huge advantage or people who refuse to pay for crap in a game. This fails. 1/5

It has been said, and I'll say it again. Remove the ability for people to camp at newbie zones and kill off everyone to prevent them from starting up/having fun. Would rate this 1/5 if it didn't give me a point, but I certainly do not enjoy flying out and getting one-hit killed.

1/5 The game is good but you cant go any where if you're new I flied around for 20 minutes and than these larger ships came outa no where and killed me Than every time i tried to advance in the game I die and i'm not going to spend real money so I can be able to repair my ship after it dieing every 10 seconds from these ships.

Please, don't rate this game too high, it's really not worth it, there are alot of other flash game developers, which deserved it way more.

Wow. What an awful experience. How about a tutorial? Everyone, check out an old-school free multiplayer game called Continuum. This is a fun game with an old, established community.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
this is stupid.... you start the game, try to do the first quest then a random lvl 49k or something crits thousands on you and you have to use the rare credit to repair your ship, 1/5 :<

make the newbie maps with just aliens adapted to their level. and dont allow enemy companies in those maps -.- until you do that FAIL!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've played this before, and all i can say, it will become boring.
And those giant space ships will not go away.
What's even worse is that when you get out a few zones, you'll see moving targets on your map coming for you, and they'll kill you in one shot. Those are called other players. 2/5

Looked like a fairly entertaining game up until a much larger ship swooped in (on the first map) and obliterated me with one hit. Awesome. Now I have to pay Uridium (pay-to-get, or scrounge pitiful amounts) to respawn... which I think I won't do.

BigPoin, its a game where you have to buy your stuff with real money or you will nerver achieve something.
In Germany there is a big discussion about this system. We have a lot of Kids in Germany which spend about 500€ or more (round 400$)

Im playing this for years and the first time's im was playing this there was a protectionshield ;l
then u got 24hour shield so u dont can be attacked by a big ship, and now there is no 24hour shield? EPIC FAIL BIGPOINT EPIC FAIL

Perhaps some sorta tutorial and protection from People who obviously aren't new to the game. Game is a bit to complicated and slow to really be worth it in my opinion and should be completely played in the flash player not goin back and forth from one window to the other just to manage your ship. 2/5

Huh, not terrible, at least up until the point I was flying around the newbie area and a fleet of red-labeled ships (enemies) swooped up and one-shot me. They did 6800 damage, I didn't even have a chance to run away. I've only been playing for about 30 minutes total, is there really no form of protection for new players? I thought MMO-makers had learned that one after Ultima Online. There really should be a more extensive tutorial too. Took way too long to figure out some of the game and it looks like there's a lot more to it, I assume that comes at higher levels. Oh well, maybe I'll come back to it later and give it another try someday. 2/5

this is just another micro-transaction-based game where you need money to really experience anything fun. 1/5. i support independent developers.

As a person who's played the actual game, rather than the Kong portal set up here, I can safely say that it's not as good. The gameplay felt severely lacking, much like the full game did. Graphics were changed the most, and it looks more like it's geared toward the casual gamer population now than before. The actual game being in a new window is something that shouldn't be done in a site like this - Many people would likely think that it's a pop-up advertisement, and will close it immediately. Overall, I'm not impressed. Although some things have to be kept in mind when porting something like this to a flash game site, don't forget that some people here are, in fact, seasoned gamers, and they will have higher expectations for games like this. Especially if they've played the full game before. 3/5 - For the major flaws that simply cannot be looked past.
