@catsaresupercute once you build a ziggurat you can start the unicorn upgrades, which basically let you get around 40% more happiness and can sustain leviathans, letting you to get more relics, very important late game
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I can't find much of a use for unicorns, aside from the +10% happiness boost.
Are they late-game sort of like the time stuff?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@LazorGameing Fur is for making Parchments, which will be important for much of the game. Ivory isn't much use til you get late-game (several resets) and get into Ziggurat religion, although you can trade it to Nagas (can be found by Explorers in Trade when you have 1500 CURRENT culture, not just culture cap) for minerals. Keep in mind having ANY of each also raises your Happiness by +10, so having some furs and ivory banked can net you +20 Happiness. tl;dr: Hunters and hunting are important, don't neglect them.

I am not sure whether this was intentional or if it is a bug but clicking on any building that can't be built, even if unable to construct because if supply limits, it will cause ticks to go by.

There needs to be a way to save/import the game as an alphanumeric code like with a similar game on here called Trimps..

New player tips: You get nothing for a reset with under 35 kittens. 35 or more kittens will give karma worth 10% happiness bonus plus %1 for each additional point. Every kitten after 70 gives you a point of paragon, which gives bonuses to both kitten and automated production, as well as a global storage capacity bonus. Also, once you reach space and unlock metaphysics, you can spend paragon for persistent upgrades. DON'T try to reach space on your first run. Have at least 100 paragon before you try. Zebra trade requires trade ships to unlock and every trade ship up to 243 increases your chance of getting titanium. Every trade ship with no limit increases the amount of titanium you get. On first reset STOP at Architecture. Don't even bother researching beyond that. Get trade ships, titanium, trade with zebras, reset with 90-100 kittens. Early on, sacrifice 1 set of unicorns for tears for the 10 happiness boost and don't bother with the unicorn tech tree. It's very late game.

It would be nice to have had web workers on by default, or at least be notified about it in game, rather than in the instructions. I didn't notice the FAQ in the instructions until my third day playing this, and I had mostly had it open in a background tab. I love this game, but I wish I had known that it was going slower in a background tab.

suggestion for flavor text on chemistry: "We tried mixing cream and milk, it didn't taste any better."
suggestion for flavor text on acoustics: "Yowling: Now with extra hiss."

Definitely the slowest idle game I've every played. It's like watching catnip grow in the dead of winter. Great change of pace! I appawd the creator.

Here I have bug that all I see is blank screen with only bonfire... selection. I need to click to + and then use chrome's search to get into appropriate screen.

Nope, just displays a lower production for a bit then displays properly and works normally. Was just slow on the update for a while.

I spent hours playing yesterday and it didn't save! I lost all progress...even though I manually saved several times, I'm not going to play again

great game play but it would be nicer if it had a little animation for like when the smelter is in use or like a a little tab so you can see what your village looks like.

Im happy that the winter mechanic makes a decrease in catnip productivity, it makes the game a little challenging on your first winter unless you are a pretty swift clicker

@Scott358: Unless you have disabled cookies for the website, it should autosave. just make sure you're logged in to your Kongregate account when you play.

Although... it's kind of weird that kittens are willing to live in space; you'd think they would want to AVOID something called a Spay Station...

@JacobM00 in Options, you can select High Precision Resource Values, which extends the values by one decimal place. It still rounds from there, so it's not entirely accurate, but it'll probably give you a better picture of what you're actually getting. Also, later in the game, there are several upgrades that reduce Hut costs significantly. Since the game's prestige system is driven by population, Huts are kind of a premium building.

@Noontide: Also, each kitten also reduces Happiness (the small orange smiley face at the top middle), which is a global production multiplier. So each kitten not only eats catnip, it slows down catnip production. Later, you can build Amphitheaters which will offset the per-kitten unhappiness penalty... once you can, building about 15-20 of them is a good idea. After that, they suffer significant diminishing returns (and, later, you'll replace them with Towers anyways)

I have 19 smelters say they make 0.01 gold a second, I have 19 but they only make 0.10. Unicorns pasture are also doing that and i feel cheated out of my resources
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Seems bugged - I buy another hut, my pop goes up to four and I don't have enough food and two kittens die. Fair enough. Then I still don't have enough food for the remaining two kittens I had more than enough for before??

@jonny0panic Iron Will takes a lot of patience. On the plus side, they also up the odds of both getting Celestial Events, and auto successes (don't need to click it). When I attempt an Iron Will run, I find it helps to let the game run while I sleep or am at work. Yeah, you can't build up some things, but there are usually enough Meteors and Celestial events to stock up on Science and Minerals.
