@yossw2 the BF 109 was a superior fighter to the Hurricane, the Hurricane was just heavily armed and could withstand more punishment than the BF 109 and spitfire. The BF 109 was more maneuverable and faster.

my one problem with this game is that on protect missions, your teamates all fly away, and so you have to cover bombers by yourself

Oh, well, looks like the company that made this game (www.nederit.nl) has made their bucks and gone on permanent holiday. A google search gets this result....
CURTAINS

WE QUIT!! Because we can! Thanks for stopping by anyway. CYA!
Therefore, don't be expecting anymore fixes or upgrades to this game, unfortunately.

Normally, I'd give this one a 3 star rating as opposed to the 4 stars it got. The 4th star is for including a level editor with the game so one isn't stuck playing the campaign again & again. Speed control is a good idea (especially in the bomber protection scenarios) as some other folks have mentioned. I'd also like to see a "loop" and "roll" maneuver linked to the "up" & "down" arrow keys respectively. For a good, simple example of what I'm looking for, check out "Skies of War" at:

I have to agree with CluelessWonders comment about different radar indicators being needed (i.e., a bright neon red capital B for enemy bombers, a bright neon red capital F for enemy fighters, and bright neon green capital B & F for friendly forces. The upgrade and boost dots should be lighter colours to make it easier to see them.)

A video game about flying a fighter in war should not be as boring as most of flying during war is, where it is 98% sheer boredom followed by brief battles. And even with the Turbo, enemies get so far away you fall asleep before you catch them. Gets boring REALLY fast.

hmm love being out turned by a less agile plane. Spitfire more agile than the bf 109 and bf 110, yet they still turn faster than me :S AI is worthless and your way outnumbered and they love to tag team you. Only way to beat this mission is collect credits out the butt and spend em all.

not sure about this game, the first few levels I didn't even do anything and it advanced me to the next level, the variations in the aircraft offer no noticeable difference they all seem to respond the same and the enemy aircraft is not in the screen long enough ever to allow you any real chance at hitting it. This game has some promise, my suggestion is to intergrate upgrades into the game for each plane you choose to use. Make the missions easier to understand. Keep the plane range more localized instead of aircraft disappear out of the viewing area and needing to turbo to catch up. So for now I am only rating this 1 star for good concept. Earn the rest with more playability.

Anyone got some hints for the British retreat mission. Can't seem to eith gedt to the bombers and not die or kill the dive bombers first and then get to the bombers. Used both planes and either way i end up losing.

Terrible AI on the part of the "helpers" - protecting the b17 bombers is darn near impossible since you can't slow down to tail them and the other planes on your side ignore their duty.

Could I please be able to control by aircraft. Speed would be nice, I finally line someone up and I go shooting past them. Zoom out would be nice too, i mean, why can my pilot see only about 50 feet in front, but I can see much farther to the right and left. Pretty crappy.

Another thing which would be immeasurably handy: a different indicator on the radar, for mission targets. Sure, if they're onscreen, i can tell them apart, but from the sometimes 10+ green or red (depending on kill/protect mission) dots on the radar, determining which is important is a matter of luck. Additionally, as going into and leaving Turbo feels random, it's extremely easy to Turbo away from protect targets, never to see them again.

Oh yes, such fun. Nothing like having a MUCH larger turn radius than my opponents and not even able to control how fast I'm going. >.>

I like it, but most of the time you start to focus on the radar, as the enemies rarely come close enough. maybe planes could be smaller an the view could zoom out a bit. also ammunition is unlimited, so one dedicated of firing nearly all the time, as it is not to obvious, when you hit the enemy. still... 4/5
