haha...it's vun but it's a bad concept lol....your mineing....but you use all the mineral's your looking for to build defenses....isn't the whole point of finding minerals is to make money from it not waste all your money to dig the stuff up so you can build more defenses....? i know it's a terrible comment it's just seems like a on-going cycle, that's all...

when/if you make another one you should add- 1. targeting 2. more towers/turrets 3. new enemies 4. an inverse style where you attack the comp defends 5. out of level upgrades/personal level 6.competitive mining ether multi payer or vs computer...... 1 2 & 3 more than 4 5 & 6

all of Kongregate seems to not want to load in a reasonable time.
I have DSL 3 mb/s and you only transfer at 2400 baud? It isn't 1980 any more guys... upgrade your modem.

Whenever I try to open the game, I get a 15 second ad followed by the game not launching because the loader was bypassed, due TO the ad. I'm sure the game is good and I ain't gonna rate it 1/5 until I play. Anyhoo, Kong, fix please.

Best tip anyone can offer: Speed! Pause/Slow helps, but try using keyboard shortcuts. click what you want to upgrade, and simply press 'u'. You can upgrade a dozen things in less than 5 seconds, instead of click, click, click, click, etc.
Build order/style helps, but nothing is better than speed ^_^

for those of you struggling.
Take a step back and look at your stratergy, change it, remember different buildings will have different effects, you need a combination of all to get far. Some to defend againts missles and small ships, others to take on the big ones. Think before complaining its too hard

I can tell one funny thing. Last mining mission can be done without any defences - just with extra heavy mining. 3 solar collectors. as many miners as possible + build more with minerals mined. Nothing more needed :)

i really like this game. no offense, but the other one sucked hard. this is soooo much better and i love it. should have sandbox tho. 4.9/5

Well, pretty fun and challenging game. Note of course 5/5. Mining missions: First play round just by watching how enemy ships spawn. Then play again. Start by building 2 solar stations upgrading to max. Then build a basic few relays just to cover as many meteors as possible. For rest of the minerals build as many miners as possible. Turn them off untill all build. Turn on and wait for minerals and wave. Enemy spawn with 20/40/60% mined so you can stop nining before it reaches 39/59/79 minerals (to get one wave at a time). Meanwhile build up defences from mined minerals and one upgraded repair station (full hp = full minerals recovery). If enemy changes attacking sides, change defences. Repair everything, sell, rebuild. Crucial thing: when you reach 78-79 % mined and get rid of enemies, sell every defense iand upgrade all miners. Let them mine and you gonna win within few seconds. Hope this helps ;)

Earlier on today i was going to leave a comment for "The Space Game" , how i felt it had a aesthetically pleasing theme but how it was a shame there weren't more missions included with the game that would have added to its variety before being 'leant on' toward site registration for bonus modes if you wanted more choice than survival. This was at 14:00, the time is currently 17:53 and i have come to Kongregate to find a game, guess what happened?...
...i found this ;-)

This is one of the best flash games I have ever seen. It'd fit right in with Blizzard's design philosophy of simple to learn/play, difficult to master. You should seriously look into being a pro game designer if you aren't already.
/salute. 5/5.

I'm trying to figure out the motives of the pirates. They're not stealing anything, yet they risk their lives to just blow up some mining equipment. I honestly think they're more like extremist environmentalist. Like PETA but for asteroids.

for some reason, i am missing part of the interface, i can't see it but i know it is there covered by the kongregate chat box and the box at the bottom that says "more games"

I really hope that they make space game: missions 2 or at least a game similar to this one. It really deserved to be one of the quests Kongregate made... 5/5 and favored

The game will not load, this is the only badge left for the Best of 2009 quest. Any tips to get it to load correctly? [16] Setup has failed: Loader bypassed

@Orakio: that's the problem: there shouldn't be a new lock-on step each time a laser experiences an energy shortage. this is part of a larger issue with targeting in this game: it needs to have a dynamic algorithm that factors in both the health of the enemy ships nearby and the danger imposed of approaching fleets. losing a mission because no one on my side thought it worthwhile to target the motherships that were absolutely eviscerating my base is kind of ridiculous.

@ thebecoming: I've never known the lasers to act that way. Each individual laser always fires at the enemy closest to it. So if you're having issues with them spreading fire around, either you have them spaced out so that different ships are closer to different lasers, or you don't have enough firepower, so that ships are living long enough for another ship to come closer to the laser, causing it to change target.
