An incredible game. First real debate was incredibly difficult, since I had to put my arguments the way you intended it (but it's kind of applied flaw of all such games), but after that I got the hang of it. Really thought provoking. Well done.

This game is awesome! So fresh and creative! Really like the philosophy concept, learn a lot more on morality discussion than what i already knew, awesome points of view! I "called it" too, like ariadne. Congrats on a very unique game [ ]

Bit of a hole in your Social Contract argument. The whole fact that the contracts can be broken is the reason for them not to be broken, because by breaking them you give the person you made the agreement with the right to do so as well. The reason violent street-gangs don't just promise to make trades, then kill the person they made the agreement with, is because they'll probably lose some of their own men as well. It's not a matter of there being a king to reinforce it; the natural state does that on its own.

great game
music and art direction is solid but ultimately the writing is what keeps a game like this together and on that front it was really good.
amp up the production quality a bit and this could be a legitimate game, alibit infringing

5/5 first of all. You even got the German right! You pointed out the fundamental flaws of each Theory of Good and Evil, and this in common language, with Kant in the lot a very good accomplishment. I once tried to read Kant (in German, I AM German after all) and the English version looses complexity through the translation, from what I gathered. Trust me, in German it is a nightmare, the only more complex philosopher was imho Martin Heidegger, don't bother with him or expect to get your brain twisted. It took me ages to figure out what he was trying to explain. For moral I prefer Heinleins explanation: Moral is something that was developed by humans to build a society. If the society works, the moral is legit. If not, the society crumbles and with it the moral values. Enough now, I'd like to get my two cents

"But it's aesthetics qualities and manufacturing, while nice, offer no function which benefits me!"
Please, I know this game is about arguments and how to make them but make an effort removing elementary spelling errors ... "its" for the possessive and "it's" for the contraction of "it is" ...
But nevertheless, it is logical and well made ! Liked for that.

I loved this game! I think it is funny that so many people are complaining about the "What God commands must be good" argument being picked apart. Just because the main character is not a believer doesn't mean the game is biased against God. I do believe in God, but "What God commands" is just silly. The writings and teachings that many feel to be the "Commands" of God ultimately came from men, and isn't the whole point of the argument that "Man is fallible"? In fact God can be put in the same realm as morality, something that can be felt and has an impact on the world, but ultimately has no perfect answer, or at least not one that we can find as we are now.
Excellent and thought provoking game, great way to spend an hour or so (yes that was a hint that I want more) :D

If you have never had any exposure to philosophy this game might be interesting, 2 stars for that. My personal feeling is 'wow, it's a sophomoronic philosophy game! Said 'funny' on the game description, When does that happen? Oh well, I'll look at this philosophically: 10 minutes of my life wasted!'

I really liked the game, the only flaw aside from a few typos is the fact that it wasn't longer. I'd really love to see a "real game" version of this with more debates with more depth! I'd have no problem spending days or weeks discussing philosophy with all kinds of philosophists.
It would be much more interesting than plowing through dozens of books, that's for sure!

"What did he ask?"
"Mr. Jones just asked his opponent to back up HIS OWN conclusion"
*sigh* "AGAIN!?"
"Afraid so." *smirks and plays with his mustache*
I laughed for a good 5 minutes with tears in my eyes.

Dude, this game did not save my game automatically after each important dialog. Was already discussing eith hobbes, accidentaly closed window. And when I returned I could only continue from the prologue.

Good, really good. I enjoyed every minute of this game. I think some funny ending with this seller would be the icing on the cake.

Apart form everything else that has been mentioned already, I love the fact that you can replay specific parts of the story. Awesome game, and hope to see more from you in the near future. Keep it up!

Superb! I actually feel as if this contributed to my personal stitched network of philosophy, adding some of the view points of the "challengers" I faced, adjusting others, and maybe even removing some of the pre-existing ones.
5/5 and bring me a sequel!
P.S. Really, what happened to the deer?!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
??? deer are in the cities around here alot. became an issue so they raised hunting limits. apparently the population grew so much they were foraging even in the burbs.

Overall a great game, biggest thing I'd say that I'd like to see is a way to tell that you're at the end of a series of statements so you don't have to hit next and go all the way back to the beginning; i.e. the cursor disappears or stops blinking so you don't hit next and have to go through the dialogue again.
Otherwise? Fantastic, fantastic game, would love to see more.

john stuart mill only adapted utilitarianism, the father of utilitarianism is actually Jeremy bentham, who's head was stuffed and mounted and is now on display in a museum, can't remember which one though.

This is plain embarrassing on my part. I took an entire class, that dealt with this and I get stuck on the first argument past the tutorial. I am ashamed.
Although, I kinda disliked anything that covered opposing dieties.

hey dev, I don't know what happened but I was already in chapter 4, when my pc suddenly turned off, and now I'm back with protagoras in chapter 2...

It grew tedious at times, but it is doing good in making people think and especially debunking religious bull**it. We need more of those.

I really liked this game. The way Philosophy is portrayed here is done quite well. I would like to know if the sound tracks are available somewhere. Especially the final statement one.

I agree with alan_keemdale here. In the first real debate, I had plenty of points that I could have used, and one that I KNEW would be most effective. However, I had no idea if that point even existed in the game, and I found out that it did not. Of course, this sort of thing happened a few times. Most of the time, though, I was able to figure out how to work my idea, since it was in line with the game. This was very thought-provoking, and as qwasek said, I was able to figure out the final answer about halfway through the game. This was a VERY impressive game, and it makes me want to get every Ace Attorney game out there. Why aren't there more games with gameplay like this out there? And one last thing: will there be a sequel?

5 stars base, -1/2 star for the terrible scrolling mechanic that doesn't let me consistently skip the scrolling without skipping the dialogue, -1/2 star for consistently misspelling "its" as "it's". 4 stars, amazingly fun.

i have the same problem i get in ace attorney, i know the point but i don't know how to trigger it in the game, can anyone make a walkthrough just to not get stuckfor hours on a phrase?

This was great. This would make for a great full scale game on a handheld or smartphone. Edutainment that's actually fun! :D I did cover most of these in the introductory course to philosophy, but it was enjoyable to brush my knowledge up without the stress of actual examination.
As Hadro Lepton said, the only thing I didn't like was the text animation. But it was only a minor inconvenience.
