I've found leaving the threat level high and fighting every battle gives you more experience and therefore strength. Not to mention be able to attack enemies.

I've discovered that the game turns your threat to 100% after 1880 B.C. And the army that attacks you on 1877 B.C. will instantly wipe your civilization out meaning you cannot progress past 1876 B.C. no matter what you do. I get it's an old game but It just seems like a design flaw and I'm completely lost as to why they decided to make that a feature.

Dont you love when you go from 0.1% danger to 100% danger because the game says you have lived too long

Head's up for those going for the badge: it looks like the API isn't responding anymore, so you'll probably need to submit a report to obtain it.

Date : 1877 BC.
All of the sudden. The enemy's army spiked up. I was recently attacked last turn. Almost a Million Men died. The threat is at 100%. The End is Near. Turn? 244.

The difficulty completely ramps up, I think it's because of the "Overpopulation" Event. That keeps on stacking up. It'll eventually reach 100% and then you're dead.

This game is really good! One complaint, however, is that once I reached about 25K people, the threat level increased to 100% even though my strength was 1M. This caused me to drop to about 30 people in two turns. Why is this?

Agh! My 1M population challenge! I was 132k away from reaching it, then unstopable invasions destroyed everything and everyone.
