What is the win condition?? I bought every tech, got every building, allied or conquered every possible city-state, completed the map, colonized everything, fought off every threat. But it still told me I lost at the end?? How the heck do you actually WIN

BobDabUilder49 you probably got caught out by the 'income' quest which is just trading profit; you have to do every single quest to win

@Baden27 you get generals by producing a certain amount of soldiers, that goes up after each general. Click on the soldier bar at the top to see, amoung many other things, the amount of soldiers until next general. I do not know whether you continue to get progress towards generals while at the max amount of soldiers, so try checking if the soldiers until general goes down, and if it doesnt, try dismissing half of your soldiers (also in the soldier bar). the same mechanics are for other resources such as production, gold, and people, where once you get enough people you get a settler, in an amount that increases, once you get enough production you get a scout, in an amount that increase, and once you get enough gold you get an envoy.

How do you get generals? hmm? I probably only got 1 general every 15 turn, with army production maxed out, so I'm guessing it has nothing to do with that?
Also, didn't what you need to do to win the game, I was winning every battle as it was nothing, with over 2M army from allies etc and a 750% bonus from that weird Roman dependence bug, that can get you that infinite troop power bonus..

One of the design flaws: when playing as sparta, the last defensive building costs more than 10M prodution points and has a upkeep cost so high that almost cancels out the wonder gold income 500k per turn. Yet all it does is increase defense by 30 percent. This thing is completely useless, successfully building it probably is harder than winning the game.

I did it, hard difficulty sparta brilliant victory. It isn't really that hard, you just need some luck with events. Perhaps the only flaw during my playthrough is I chose to surrender to the persians when they first invaded. My current record is 109 turns.

Oh... Is what @Hungibungi meaning this:" The Trade Race Quest is impossible to finish?" If that is your meaning, you need to buy 10k PRODUCTION from trade to complete it.

lol, I played as athens and allied with sparta. Then i had their army (5x mine) kill everyone, then assingned everyone to military and crushed their weakened army.

How can you win in this game? I was allied /captured with everyone at turn 130, but nothing happened until I got the "you lost" screen… Also, I tried selling stuff for like 1M/ turn, nothing happened with the quest. I tried to buy stuff for like 1M /turn, nothing happened to the quest. It is impossible to win because of a bugs..

It sucks that I lost because of one country on the final turn i had allied all others and had an attack rating of 3.1 million but had no envoys or generals to take the last place what made it worse was i had successfully stopped every invasion and won the conquest of persia

I think what @potato1231 means is: say you have 5 allies and 2 colonies. That is a total of 7 united cities. However, if you then conquer 3 of your allies you will have a total of 10 united cities even though it is only 2 allies and 5 colonies. This is probably unintentional, but fortunately, the developer never updates.

A tip for Romans, if you concur an ally when you have the last quest, it will count it as if you had made an alliance/concurred a new city, meaning you can ally with some of the earlier cities like Athens then you can concur them in late game if you are struggling.
