I would like for the game go on until you defeated everything, instead of having a limited number of turns. That would be great.

Quite frankly, after playing a few times as Athens on Normal, all I can say is the only real hurdle is the Persian invasion. Its huge, and even if you mass your tech and army you can't overcome it without at least 3 allies, and even then only barely. So you have to explore and mass gold from the very start to try and get 4 allies if you want any real standing chance, + your own army of course. After that, its pretty much easy going. Just spam food when possible, and don't even worry about troops. The only "issue" is the Romans, which you can delay until you have an alliance of 8 cities and faceroll.

No idea how to win this. I keep hitting a population limit of 150+ which limits the things I can do then I will lose to Persia and I give up.

SPOILER:
By the way, having a large merchant fleet seems to pay off for Athens, you can just move soldiers from one city to another and earn a fat profit

@Artez: Envoys appear automatically once your treasury increases by an amount of gold. Click the coin icon to see how much gold you need for the next envoy to appear. Alternatively, envoys can be obtained by converting generals. (On diplomacy screen click attack then send the general as an envoy)

Updated to latest Flash, still doesn't go past language select. Please ensure that your game works in more browsers than just Chrome.

Some great potential here! I love the simplicity of governing (reminds of MoO). Unfortunately, there's almost no replayability: is every event the same in every game (and at the same time)? Oh, and perhaps the game is too easy - I've won with Greece on Medium (t.119) as my second game (first quit after defeated by Persia) and as Sparta on Hard (t. 98) as the third. Still 5/5. (Add some randomness, and you may have a hit on your hands).

To everyone having troubles with missing cities: they appear after a set number of turns. Just build up your envoys or generals to be able to turn the city as soon as it appears.

Was loving this game. No glitches and was progressing nicely. Save and Exit QUITS THE GAME? No option to cancel? UHG! Lost two stars. 3/5

I was really enjoying this game, until I realised it isnt possible to win. playing as Athens and the final objective means I need to deal with all 10 cities, while theres only 9 of them -_-

Ok 1st tutorial step, that doesn't look like a slider at all, it looks like a button you click. The bar it slides on looks like it could be something else at first because the circle isn't centered on it and is way to big for that. Then it says move to feed people, so you think, fine I'll drag this circle around over people (not realizing its a slider), but the people are to the left and the slider wont move more left so you still don't realize it's a slider until you get frustrated and try dragging that crap circle all around the screen. Then after that you feel stupid and to embarrassed to post anything. But really its the GUI designer's poor choices.

Please add option to turn all delays off. Earthquake is the worst example there, after you have seen 2 of them, next ones are nice special effects but nothing new and are very annoying to wait out.

Bought this game on steam. Can replay it a few times. Heard this is just a light version of it. Don't publish games in flash anymore. flash is nearly dead.

Here's a quick start guide for Athens:
Max farmers
1st Science: Pottery
2nd Science: Craft
3rd Science: Agriculture
1st Build: Houses
2nd Build: Vegetable Garden
3rd Build: Marketplace.
If you build the Marketplace on the same turn or before the announcement of the Dorian invasion, you're doing well.

Cant 'move the circle to feed people'. The circle just clicks like a button but doesnt seem to drag or move by any way that I was able to discover.

protip, don't conquer anyone. just become allies with all of greece. Allying yourself is cheaper and conquering gives almost nothing.

I would love this game so much more if it there wasn't a time limit and it was a build your own civilization type game.

"Context3D not available! Possible reasons: wrong wmode or missing device support." The game doesn't work, i'm stuck at language screen.

To enjoy this game you need to enjoy grinding. Regular failures and regular restarts are essential. If that's not your thing, then play on easy mode or play another game.

Trade Race: you have to BUY 10k of Production via Trade from other cities. That's net, so if you're selling Production to a city, you'll need to buy enough to have +10k/turn via trade.

I had a nightmare about this game.
its an "On-Rails Strategy" game.
I still hope for a freeplay mode (could be a 5star)
2 stars for now.

After I choose a language flag, this appears: "Context3D not available! Possible reasons: wrong wmode or missing device support."
Please try this:
If the web version of the game stuck on 'choose language' screen try this to solve the problem:
1. Please wait 3-10 secs, the game needs some time to load;
2. Update Flash Player here https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
3. Use the latest version of "chrome" browser, you can get it here https://www.google.ru/chrome
4. Go to chrome://flags/ settings in your browser, Enable Override software rendering list, relaunch browser and try the game again. Screenshot: https://i.gyazo.com/44f16797ea6bc3592fcc8ef9d28aa104.png
Web version is not the same what in Steam. Web version includes only Greece part of the game, but Steam version also includes World Unification part of the game, achievements, tradable cards etc.

I don(t know why do you say it is somehow hard. Even on hard difficult it is pretty easy, only diggerence is how much you will winning fights. All is about focus on things in which your town excel. For example as Athena all what you need is focus on production and making aliance. As Spartan go full army. You really dont need some brainstorming tactics on win, maybe you will dont get full 150 points per game, but you will stil win.

Sparta Campaign is really not much harder than Athens; requires a different mindset, and you'll never have enough warriors/generals to straight up conquer everything, but if you mix allies with colonies and balance your resources, it's very doable.
