Lol it really is funny how every game these guys ever made has a top comment boiling down to "cool game, but how about a next button?". They responded to it once (like 8 years ago lol), saying they'd get around to dealing with feedback after finishing their "IOS platform". Guess things changed

Sometimes the selection seems to get "stuck" - I can move my mouse all over the puzzle and onto other bridges but the bridge I just created stays selected and if I click it affects that bridge, not whatever I'm actually hovering over. This seems to happen every other game or so for a few seconds at a time.

It seems some of puzzles ave more than one answer so if you are stuck without one 1005 sure link try to put some you think CAN be especially if you don't have clue between 2 options on advanced phase of solving.

@riverkonqueror Hashi can mean bridge or chopsticks in Japanese (depending on what kanji/glyphs are used), so good guess :)

when i first played this game i was annoyed at how complex the puzzle sceme was, and i very quickly became violently addicted to watching the bridged gaps come together into one solid structure. now, a little over 2 years later i have printed, solved in pencil and hung on my wall over 600 puzzles from a random generator that assigns each puzzle with its own number. i'm trying to collect every puzzle from 1,2,3, etc through the random generator, and the highest one i have so far is 5,463. hashiwokakero is in fact, the best thing in the universe

The user interface is far too fiddly. To make a bridge, you must move the mouse over a number, move off that number and click. This could easily be redesigned so you just need to click in the right place to build a bridge and that would be much more intuitive for the user. Think about it: in what other application does it matter how you move the mouse *before* clicking. Click and drag is common and natural; point, move and click just feels weird.

@prinzovdarkness, if you need to "pause" you can save it, close the whole browser if you wish, then come back and load it later. This is pretty much just as easy as pausing, and it's better too.

i accidently left for the weekend with this running and got 68 hours on one of them. can you please make a pause button?

Having the number globes get crossed out when there are enough connections to them makes me think I've done something incorrect. Perhaps if they just changed colour it would be a better design.

A reply to Fawcs: Every time I solve a puzzle, I do not guess. I am finding the solution mandated by the puzzle layout. That implies that the puzzle solutions are unique, at least for the ones I've done so far.

The controls are good, though, but even they are drowned out by the CRAPPY layout. This game is ugly and lazy, and indeed can hardly be called a game at all. But still, the experience was great, and I really enjoyed this (at least up until the lack of achievments or any other "carrots" or improvements made it repetitive), and would gladly recommend it. Last time I checked, though, kongregate was a site for GAMES, and as a GAME this fails epicly. It still is fun to play, whatever it is, so maybe I should just shut it, but then again; that's just not for me =P

The rules are hard to explain, but once I got the hang of it I was hooked. Please change "New Game" to "Level Select."

This game is great. It's like minesweeper (which I love as well). I do have to say that I would like bigger playing fields. The 6x6 and 8x8 are too easy. The 10x10 is significantly harder. How about a 12x12 or even 15x15? 5/5

reminds me of chemistry though i forgot which lesson was it...where you have to connect atomic numbers or something :)
