I got to the third fight and the computer decides to cheat ! 9/10 of the computer shots hits my fleet. CHEATING CRAP!!!

buying special weapons increases their cost, and they are only usable with certain ships, and not all ships are available on all missions, which sucks.i lost twice on the same level while i needed 1 more shot to win(hit a gunboat[the last remaining] and all except 1 of the surrounding squares where already hit).
now some basic tactics if you actually wanna play this shit:shoot/explore every second square vertically and horizontally so that you can save a couple of shots.if the enemy gunboat(s) is busted do the same with every third square etc.

1/5. Earning money based on accuracy in a game where you have to GUESS is as unfair as an enemy who get's guaranteed hits under some circumstances. BAD. B. A. D. Bad

edit/ update.
Well I got mad at the game and so determined to beat it into submission. I finished all the levels, 21 of them if I remember, and it was annoying, and farming was necessary, and the payoff was pointless. I guess I am expecting too much from a free internet game. k. bye.

The A1 is hitting me 11, 13, 15 times per game with specials: scanners; plasma; airflights; multiple missile volleys; torpedos; and so-on.
That costs more than can be earned in multiple games of farming - plus it's extremely tedious, and if I lose that game after spending so long saving up to purchase afraction of what the A1 can use every single game - I lose the weapons.
The graphics are nice, the music and sound effects are nice - the gameplay sucks... 1/5.
Games are supposed to be fun - not so fukkin tedious that it's a chore, and impossible to beat. BTW I made it to level 16 and I'm so sick of the inequity of force that I wonder wtf I even tried to get this far.
brb reevaluating my life. k. bye. stupid game.

If the developers can’t even figure out how to make separate controls for music and sound effects, they deserve to have their games rated 1/5.

Once in a while I will play the game here on Kong. But playing it hacked with all weapons and no money down is where it's at. I don't think even the U.S. Navy would send out one of their subs without torpedoes.

+1 on farming. +1 on item searching. Buy 3 x item search, and spend the rest on weapons when you get above 4000. To farm, buy nothing and just click. :(

recommendations: 1) show all remaining available weapons - I can't always quite remember if I still have that plasma shot left, or a ship capable of firing an EMP, so showing a little HUD with available weapons in it would be awesome. 2) make fog a bit more transparent - it obscures bits of the map at inopportune times. 3) allow player to keep weapons after loss (i can just not buy weapons, go in, kill what i can 57 times, and still come away with craploads of money to buy them anyway, so it shouldn't be too disbalanced)

infinite specials for the computer make this otherwise ok game worse. having you lose anything you've purchased -or found!- in the very, very, very likely case you lose adds to that .
1/5 cause you clearly like abusing your players.

Player: "Uh Oh, I only have one ship left, lucky it's only two spaces long" Computer: "I don't feel like searching for it, I'll just peek. Player will never know."

It smells of lazy programming in the way the enemy attacks. To me it would be a lot better for the enemy to "randomly" attack untill it hits then focus around that area based on certain rules. Increased difficulty and levels would make the AI follow better rules rather then "Hit player ship every x turns" as it seems to be now.

That's a very nice game. I like it a lot! There goes some things you could improve: when deploying the fleet, make it so it's easy to know which way you will be facing the enemy. And when in battle, it would be nice to have each kind of ammo's quantity (like the one in the deploying phase) so you can better use it.
To the players, the key to the last phases is to play sometimes without specials and save the money so you can make a killer attack.

well, most ai are normally unintelligent unless programmed to be so i presume the ai generated and programmed into this game was made to be almost invulnerable to being defeated by simple minds like other players, you have to think and redraw your strategy whenever something occurs, little things like that will help you in the long run

vote up, if you want the graphics to be zoom scalable in your browser like other Kongregate games. The game is not playable on 1080p monitors.
