@99seconds, this game is way better than Starcraft. And so is Age of Empires 1 and 2 and Portal and many others. Starcraft has only 3 civs.

Great game, but there comes a point that's un-passable, short of player skill massively developing. Could maybe rectify this with an upgrade shop based on data cores, or even just a passive, small increase in starting memory based on data cores saved up to that point.

absolutely amazing TD you can move around the upgrades made it all the better. 1 thing the scramble your last ditch to kill something. only does 2 dmg to avatar. i know its his skill but come on. and the flamers being poisoned was brilliant super speedy. the humor kept me playing all around 5/5 great job

Flammers are way over powered, they appear to ignore all specials. Tried a number of tactics only to be squished by Flammers. Over all the upgrade system is a bit clunky, and unbalanced. 2/5 until balance issues worked out

Most maddeningly hard game I've played in ages (as I hate when even a single core gets through during a normal progression). I've only almost thrown my laptop once!
But, it's a good challenge in a land of games that only take time. Keep up the good work!

Argh! Forgot the link.
If you haven't seen my previous comment, This is all too much like "Spybot: The Nightfall Incident". You can see it here: http://jayisgames.com/archives/2005/09/spybot_the_nightfall_incident.php

Reminds me a lot of "Spybot: The Nightfall Incident", right down to the humorous ways they name their levels. Nice work!

Wow. Been awhile since I became this excited over a TD (and I play them all).
Great concept, well balanced, lots of strategic options without becoming to cluttered, no useless spacefillers, lots of diffrent maps and to top it off great presentation and graphical design. 5/5 !

Only thing I could suggest would be some kind of skill tree (gemcraft style). The rest of the game is just perfect.
(Finished 5 levels and in this time the rating went up from 4.27 to 4.29 :)) )

This TD does what any great TD must do: it keeps me playing levels over again in attempt to do better. This is one of the best.

KingZipar4: I don't love that. It's really nothing more than "how dare you speak your mind?" On the other hand, it would be nice if the fellow who doesn't like the game gave a constructive reason. And if he just doesn't like the genre, it is announced beforehand.

@ superdude: Only duration stacks, not poison intesity. You can boost the efficiency of poison (and any other damage source) by using combos of scanner hits (enemy takes +1 damage) and amplifier (enemy takes +50% damage) though.

Waiting for the towers you are putting down to switch colours to the configuration you want is really, really annoying. This is especially true since fork and linker are so overpowered.

Definitely the best TD I've played in quite a while. I loved that you could unlock new Techs and Towers right till the end and that they actually made a strategic impact. Also, while it can be an effective technique, juggling is not required to beat any mission. Well thought-through and polished game 5/5 ----- Silly afterthoughts: if one AI is called a Singularity, would that make them a Plurality? Why didn't Axon make a backup on _every_ PC that's connected to the net? Also, awww no apoteosis for the protagonist.

I tried to redo an old stage to get more memory cores, but it's not updating even though I got 10/10 the second time. =/

it's easily tied for best TD with Cursed Gems. it is just like cursed gems, but a little better. you get all your money back for selling (which is awesome), you can move towers, the attribute system is better than an upgrade system, nerdy computer references are also awesome, there is nothing to not like about this game.

We all know TDs are the bomb, and this is no exception. well, it is exceptionally good even for it's genre.
Well thought out, actual story line (could have done with even a tad more dialogue perhaps), very balanced in terms of money and difficulty (which is actually so much more difficult to achieve than it seems), as well as sick graphics that aren't overbearing. One quiff, however - I feel as though a lot of the variety of the actual towers is lost because one can more or less emulate most any of them with the upgrades, and you just end up with something along the lines of three multi-shot splash towers that do a lot of damage, regardless of what you build in the first place. Maybe each tower has an original ability that can't be replicated with upgrades? Or even like certain types of towers work especially well with different colours of upgrades? A lot to do, i know. but otherwise, fantastic game! 5/5!
wow, long post :]

@sesshojoe it doesn't have -any- badges yet, but if they decide to add some I'll bet you they add an impossible badge because this game is actually challenging. Way to think it out.
