'There's a maximun of 30 data cores per level, 10 for each difficulty', why do I have 20/20 everywhere and only 2 difficulty levels?
Good catch. It should read a maximum of 20 data cores per level. I had tested a Hard difficulty at one point and it wasn't possible like it is in the sequel, but apparently that hint never got updated. I'll have to fix this the next time I upload a new version. Thanks!

I think the concept of adding attributes to your towers , rather than just upgrading your towers in a TD game is great. The difficulty was smooth and well thought out. Money or "memory" in this game wasn't an issue at all, in fact it was plentiful, but yet at the same time the difficulty didn't decline because of this. The animations aren't bad but not aren't overwhelming and distracting, and it doesn't cause the game to lag whatsoever. Perhaps too

EARLY GAME PROTIPS: Yes, you can wait for the lights to change. / Memory Leak x2 + Chain/Splash x1 on an Infector tower is awesome DoT. / Command Shell + Splash + Slow at the start works well. / Having trouble? Try switching 'easy mode' on (the green shield in the corner). / Compressor towers home in on targets. Use Splash and Slow or Leak on them for great effect. / Avatars aren't actually that hard; just use Damage over Time to kill them. / There are very few obstacles a Slow/Splash Command Shell and a Leak/Leak/Chain (or Splash, if you can afford it) Infector can't conquer.

this reminds me a lot of the movie "Hackers" I wonder if that was the inspiration? Great game, great concept! Very Pretty.

It seems like adding custom maps would be a fairly easy way to add more content to this game, especially monster mode... any chance of that?

I would prefer it if you could choose the types of upgrades you could get than the "try to click at the right time method".

Easily one of the best Storyline - Tower Defense games out!!!! I am really hoping for a sequel! I am pretty damn sure for the 2nd one, that the Data Cores should be used to upgrade towers, because let's face it, the earlier towers are pretty damn weak.

this game is very good and a thing that appears in this game is that any memory you spend in a tower they returns to you!!!!!. p.s:need a ghost hacker 3

Is it just me or is the starting screen image a depiction of the server in the (now quite old) movie 'Hackers'? (loved it!)

This is the best music ever made. I like how the game is so simple and yet so complicated that I can't stop playing. Who made the music anyway? It's so damn good that I must have it on my mp3!
If you go to the credits screen in the game, there's links to download the two music tracks. There's a 3rd track you can download in the sequel as well.

For those that are playing the game again, you'll find that Core Sector carried over some new stuff from Ghost Hacker 2, to this one. Some bits I noticed are some of the graphics and animations. Some of the enemy layouts and solutions changed as well. (Such as the final level and Monster Mode now has some difficulty challenge bit.)
