The true rage is because of bad controls, inconsistent AI (wait, you know to shoot me while I'm trying to jump, but everyone else falls to the bottom trying to get at me), and the last level end door having a level requirement that made me play it 3 times (only level door I didn't have the level for when I needed it).

VERY IMPORTANT: After each world, go to the menu instead of continuing. From there you can save your progress, and replay levels if you wish to do so. And you will want to, because there are gates that require a certain level to pass that are difficult or impossible to get by without doing so. Please rate up to help new players.

IMPORTANT: If you want to level up faster you have to kill a boss, collect exp and jump off cliff. Keep repeating this and you should level up in no time!

Lots of rough edges on this game. Could be good if it was a bit more polished. The maps are not very interesting and because they make you go back and forth they break up the flow of the game.
I though the differentiation between background and foreground could also use some improvement. I remember jumping off of a platform and floating by another thinking it was an element of the background.
The weapon progression is also not terribly satisfying with each new weapon being pretty similar to the previous.
The mechanics for movement could also use some improvement this game is supposed to be about flying around kicking ass we should have double jump, dash, wall jump not to mention corresponding attacks.
I feel like this an excellent prototype for the real thing. Now go make the real one!

Why does his rage go down when he takes damage? I'd be more pissed if I kept getting hit rather than if I was hitting someone else.

The level up requirements of the game doesn't make sense when you need to be a particular level to complete a stage. It's fine if you make a level requirement for a weapon, but it's plain annoying when you need to do it to enter an area. I cleared stage 4 but could not complete it because my level wasn't high enough. At this point, even though I have cleared it, I need to go back and play the level again or fight a previous boss merely for the sake of levelling up to clear the current stage. Neither does the levelling up provide any other advantage. It just becomes senselessly repititive.

To those having problems, or stuck at 28 kills: get the additional kills you need, & save it (make sure it says 'success' for the save). Then try refreshing the page - I ended up having to use that method to get it to award the Medium badge as well (if you're not feeling quite that brave, make sure you save, with 30+ kills, then, whilst keeping this tab open - open the game again in a new tab - this time it should already show as awarded). I really don't like fighting games where you get locked in the direction you hit. It makes the combat feel very unresponsive and stiff. Also the movement overall in this game isn't very good either. Would have been more fun if the enemies died a bit faster as well, but perhaps with more enemies instead. The weapons feels like they barely have any effect now.

there could be Stay in Rage Mode for 60 seconds Badge. The game was pretty cool and the badge would seem easier to earn on the last level of adventure.

Completely in style: I ragequit after hitting the lvl6 barrier in the last level. The prospect of points made me come back. That barrier is just ridiculous.

So I finally found all the keys and figured everything out and I get to the top of the last level... and I'm 100 exp short of fighting the last boss...

I feel like the second boss is Overpowered. 1.) Unless you jump right after entering the level, its possible that he will instantly hit you off the edge, and if you manage to recover from that hes already sent a bomb rolling at you to knock you to an unrecoverable distance from the ledge.

i liked the game but think that the leveling system needs work as i kept getting stuck behind gates and no way 2 open them. im not 1 to play levels over and over just to level!

3/5 now the requirement of level 6 for the final gate on the last requires to much grinding which really killed my good feelings for this game

This game is full of bugs...If you go to main menu in middle of the game to save ur progress, you have to start the level all over again... There should be a Resume button in mainmenu, so you dont have to start the level again everytime you put on Main menu

Saved at level 5, came back & was back at level 1. :/ Also while at level 5, found a box of ammo, but could not pick it up. All it did was make ... ammo noise! So I tried saving & coming back, but now I'm at level one again. Wasn't fun enough to start over...

getting stuck behind level requirements door with no way to continue leveling makes this game impossible to beat. Also, when I fought the lvl 2 boss (flame throwing one) as soon as i spawned, he shot me off the platform.
This is one badge of the day that I give up on.

the thing that makes me rage is when your lvl 5 and you need lvl 6 to get to the next boss. Also there's a glitch I think on the fourth lvl at the lvl 5 gate where even if your not lvl 5 you can go to the wall over it and fall down and pass through it. Though you need to hit lvl 5 to get back out. Which I barely got.

BADGE OF THE DAY HINT: There's only 4 levels and 4 bosses. Try and get RAGE before you enter boss portal (so you have it during the battle). Use guns to stun enemies, if they are in difficult places. If you don't meet the lvl requirement for a gate. Go to MENU and then pick the level you were on, repeat until you have enough levels (Still able to acquire badge, does not count as loading game).

I'm stuck. I am level 5 but I need to be level 6. To do that I need about 1200 exp but there isn't a single enemy or box left D:<

Worst. Level design. Ever. The game premise is fight to get Rage, and when you get it, keep fighting to conserve it. The problem is how the game keeps sending you to the end of the level to get a key to unlock a spring at the beginning of the same level, spring that propels you to another key that unlocks a door at the end of the level... I spent most of my time running and jumping and watching my rage depletes because I had no one to kill on these useless back and forth trips. I'd rather have linear levels choke full of enemies and occasionnal hidden things rather than obligatory and boring round-trips.

I know this'll get boted down, but I have to say it... Why does this game have such a high rating? No original concept, no story, movement bugs, graphically it's also not much, no strategy involved other than button masching, etc.

controls are really bad. weapon switching is glitchy. weapons look almost all the same, so its hard to figure out which one you have right now. when i die at a boss, why do i start over with the same amount of health i started it the first time but the bullets i used are lost? cant jump while walking down a slope... thats really annoying. white enemies in front of a white background... really? i mean come on... and the most annoying thing is: i opened every crate and defeated every enemy, then finally i come to the last gate and i am really glade that i made it to get the badge of the day... but then I NEED TO BE LEVEL 6 ? W T F ?

I know that this game is old,but seriously you start the adventure and there is guy who instantly attacks you without you even knowing the controls.Also I the game is buggy for example I jumped on a spring and instead of landing on the platform I hit the wall and glitched through it and fell to my death.

On the 4th (fourth) level go to the second spring on the ground. if the enemy
punches you into the cliff wall you teleport to the top of the cliff.

Seems like it was thrown together in a rush. Controls are unresponsive, attacks/player can glitch through walls, balancing is poor and graphics are laughable. All this would be ok if it was fun. But in the end, the problems wreck it.

Hint: The name of the game isn't due to your rage power, but because of the amount of anger you will be feeling after dying to boss #2 for the 30th time.

My biggest gripe is when you "retry" to kill a boss you couldn't kill, you start with the same low health and you've lost bullets!
