I hate how when I click on the center of the continent not knowing where the country is, the country is all the way on the edge of the continent.

So I returned to this game almost 4 years after doing the easy and medium badges, grinded it for like 3 hours and finally made it. You just have to concentrate, try to remember as much as possible, and eventually, you will get through the final levels with a bit of luck, even if you have no idea about China and half of the Africa.

So I just came back here after I failed a year ago. I've been playing AtWar (Afterwind I think is what it's called on here) and I just beat the game on my first try.

Not a game performance issue, but could you rename Burma to Myanmar. I'm not offended but it's just the correct term for the country today.

@akchick alaska looks big only on this kind of map, areas closer to the pole are stretched. just compare - greenland looks as big as africa :D

I've got some studying to do. One of these days...maybe when I'm retired. And thecartm: Alaska is nearly half the size of the continental US.

Looking back on this 2009 game, it got me thinking. I had a hard time finding iraq, even though we are at war. Also, it says alaska is 1/2 of the size of the main body of the US.

It's somehow not fair for anyone outside of USA. In USA, you learn about the cities in your country and the cities of other countries. In other parts of the world, you're taught about the major cities of every country EXCEPT USA. I personally only know the locations of New York, Miami, LA, San Francisco and New Orleans. How the hell would I know of Bakersfield? Orlando? Tucson? Even Chicago is hard to find since the only clue we learn in school it's that " It's a north-american city" . No sh*t, Sherlock!

Fun game, but way too HARD! At least it makes me feel smarter but I give up the hard badge is not something I can do without cheating hardcore. 3/5

hard game; some countries are hard enough to find (wow my african geography is terrible) let alone cities which I've never even heard of

I missed my own home city by 49km, lol (to be fair, that's about 1pixel on my screen), so I zoomed my browser in closer, and got a strike on the capital of Lesotho. xD
And here I always thought that my geography knowledge sucked a**. At least I made it to level 6 on my second go. :) Very novel game idea, brilliantly executed!
