Very addicting, love the peaceful ambiance. Just wish there were a little marker to note ones that you know shouldn't be marked down or something. (It gets a little hard to keep track of when you do the larger puzzles.)

Cool game. I'd just like to add one thing. Please add a way to change the color to green on the circles that you're sure 100% are right.

Very nice game, an excellent idea! However, I have two suggestions: make it scalable with the browser's zoom, and the transition between menus faster. That's all!

I haven't seen a pattern for this, but as I play, sometimes when I turn off a number, it gets a thick circle around it and I can't turn it back on. One time, I got it on the first number I clicked on.
This means that if I meant to lock a number on, but somehow release too soon, and this happens, I need to restart the level. Is this a bug?

This one could really use an undo function, or something like been able to store a given state. And locking number removed too...

Those who say this game is too easy have never tried to solve the 8x8 2-4 puzzles without trial and error. If you thought having multiple solutions was bad, try having to account for that in your solution procedure, especially when the 3s aren't independently solvable from 2s and 4s.

Hi I just want to say that you'ev done a very respectable job creating an elegant system with pretty much no fluff around it - although you probably should add some fluff just to get more people hooked. It may not be getting 4 stars at the moment but from your game we can see your intelligence coming through. Thank you for your game. It's very rare nowadays to see such a classical approach that focuses on elegant systems that can withstands the test of time.

Wow, this game feels a LOT like sudoku :D (I like sudoku, and this is even better!) Basically a 1/3 turn "uneven" sudoku. No, seriously (think about it - subtraction isn't the opposite of addition, but a 1/3 turn since the same number can be revealed in both)

I love the game, the concept and everything. I'm a huge fan of math type games and brainteasers. I would suggest putting in a refresh/start over button, though. There have been a couple of times I confuse myself and need to start over, but I have to re-click everything. It's not anything that affects my rating, just a small suggestion. :)

sometimes when i click a number away it turns black with a a thick yellow circle and i cannot reactivate it, if it is required to solve then you need to restart the level. this seems to happen randomly and restarting the level bugs out different numbers each time

A nice game but can get bored very quickly once you know the trick.
2-4 are not hard, 3 is the magic number. 1-19 are also quite easy as the number range are wide you can quickly find the combination and lock thing up. It would be nice to see auto sum rows and columns so player wont get bored from doing maths.

Good, though there are some levels that have more than one correct solution. I like that you can choose the range of numbers to use, each range is a surprisingly different game. I agree with others that a current total would be useful, as well as being able to lock the buttons that have been taken off the sum. 4/5 for being simple but challenging, with some improvements needed.

Quick little strategie: tick every circle twice to see what happens. If a row lit up, that means that number is the exact number you need to subtract from that row, so you can lock all numbers in that row higher than the one you just ticked.
For instance there's row |2 3 2 4 4 4| that needs to be 17 total. when I tick the first "2" the row will light up because the total is 17. I can now lock all higher numbers (3,4,4,4).
I now know that the one I need to romove is one of those 2 twos.
Do this systhematically for evey number and you'll get yourself a quick headstart without even having ot really think.

In endless mode stage two the fourth row lights up even though the total value is 19 but its supposed to be 17.

awkwardly.. after playing a level for like 10 minutes... it doesn't feel rewarding or like i win when its just like... "done"
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
some note system would be nice so I can mark and remember how much I need to remove from each row and column, but overall really clever.

Absolutely love the game! Simple rules that lead to complex, thoughtful gameplay always makes the best puzzle games. I also love the customization. It makes the difficulty ramp exactly as you want it to, and really increases the replay. Keeps crashing flash for me, though. Like, a lot. Anyway, after a bug fix or two, an easy 5 stars!

The reset button looks like an undo button... which is super frustrating if you've been working for a while on a harder puzzle.

Does this type of game have a name, or did you actually come up with this? I would love to play this on my phone as a time killer.

I think the "locked" button should have a more diferent way of showing is locked instead of just adding the yellow border. In large boards when you have lots of "lockeds" buttons, starts to get confusing. Maybe a recolor or making the border a bit fatter could help. Besides of that 5/5, I think i will spend some time with it.

It's nice to have a game to challenge myself every morning. :) It really does the trick in waking up my brain in the morning. :D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It would be really nice if you could lock the pressed numbers instead of just the unpressed ones. Then on the levels you can't solve normally you won't have to be scared to guess.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Got bored after my third puzzle. The amount of simple counting is too much compared to amount of thinking it requires, especially on the larger boards. Also, the game doesn't check if a puzzle has multiple solutions, which is highly unsatisfying.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Could do with a "third state", perhaps green circle, to indicate that I have considered a number and have determined that I need to keep it. Kind of like the "do not remove" flag one might see in a minesweeper type game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Why sometimes when i exclude a number, it's locked in this state and can't be marked again? a misclick can ruin an entire puzzle pecause of this.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is easier than sudoku for the fact we dont need all numbers, its harder for the reason that all numbers dont add up to the same in each row or collumn
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Great game, I hope to see it on the front page.
Could you add a "current total" on each column? Not that I don't like mental math, but...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I love this game, its like sudoku, but you have different numbers on the end. So theres an extra layer of challenge and randomization, which is actually really exciting.
