umm... theres a problem with building in 3d space.... all the buildings would be all over the joint ( using common sense and 0 gravity ) and since we aren't exactly fighting on planets. elevations and so on aren't necessary with thinking about it... as well as obstacles. in all of the OE games. building on flat terrain is the best and shouldn't be adjusted... its not like we want to have to remote control armies through labyrinths and obstacles or the game could be a bit hard to take seriously...

If the OE4 is going to be a 3D game,it is better to make buildings can be built in the 3D space.Just make buildings in a plane won't fit it.

After long enough being on the screen, any alien ship evolves into a larger one. Alien frigates can indeed evolve into capitals, after a while.

i think OE4 might not be so much around the corner but should be out ( as a guess ) within a week to 3 weeks. at least it should be dne by the end of the month at tops. ( also guessing that but it is likely )

rof rof mantis jupe+ 3 heastsink and freeze tech. Actually very underpowered as the mantis have only 100 range. Now rof rof sapphire Jupe/ Legion would be worth getting lol.

oe4 os too laggy on my computer, and I know that might be a minor thing but it would be awesome still if the gameplay is better even without the graphicss

Servers down, can't change armories. Campaign battles also never end. Would qm but can't change out of my campaign build armory. :(

@Ishadows0 I agree that the demo is laggy, but first of all, I think that Kongregate actually makes most things run better for me, and second, what OE4 really needs is a quality option.

I have just tested one carrier rack on a sapp regen legion. The legion had 135 frames between each launch (without carrier racks 100 frames). I have confirmed this finding with multiple tests by pausing whenever the next wave began to spawn and measuring the amount of energy generated in between waves. So what this means is that carrier rack slows by 35% rather than 20%. I may test the affects of 2 or 3 carrier racks later.

@bhol I'm relatively still a newb (not even level 10 yet) but I've managed to to get good gear. The higher levels you get to, the better gear you get and the more creds you make. Any gear at the shop is typically pathetic or not worth the price asked for, so you're not messing anything there. Most of the gear the advanced players got is stuff they've had to work for.

The cannon and missile turrents need to be able to calculate the lead,or it will be impossible for them to hit the enemies.

need to keep Christmas mode up for a while so us newbs can have a chance in hell of getting a stable that has even a slight chance against the veterans.......they have over a year head start and a full stable of all reds........I'm throwing mostly greens and am going to quickly lose interest if it takes 750 to maybe make one ship better.......as I know I will never have the opportunity to buy things with platinum because I will never win a pvp against people who have spent a year building their stable.

@azariarob I assume that by "above" you mean the third dimension. No, projectiles and ships can only move in 2 dimensions, horizontally and vertically. They can't shoot from the third dimension of above. As for missiles attacking from the back, yes, missile homing can be sluggish. Just use lasers to kill the faster fighter ships so the missiles won't waste time homing on them.

The OE4's 3D graphics are amazing.However,the moving screen lag and the poor accuracy of cannon turrent should be fixed.

There should be a spectate mod for qm and pm. There should be a in-game lobby where it shows the statues of players, so people can watch other battle and learn from them

I hope it works all normally in the full game although the graphics have gone up a notch. we also couldn't scroll in the prototype. but it looks a lot more promising. keep up the good work.

insta glitch with the prototype version. extractors aren't working like normal..... they aren't even really mining and we do not have a proper build radius like all of the others. its something new but it won't be easy... some of the turrets also weren't firing and we also could not produce ships in the prototype...... I don't wanna be rude but it was the truth for my pc....

Aliens don't actually require black hole guns for their caps unlike some others. A few micros for anti-spore and then quads or some other heavy hitting gun to take out the caps. (Also cobras OP vs clouds. A single cobra can take out the lower lvl bases on it's on)

@ericbloedow If there are no more asteroids left, you can use extractors as turrets, or do what i do and get a miner with cloak module (cloak miners work just like cloak cutlass, it is invulnerable until after it first shot, so the first shot never misses)
