I've played Deponia 1 and 2 myself. Just discovered the 3rd game is out and I'll be getting my hands on it soon. The games are HIGHLY recommended. Great fun and a great laugh.
However, DAEDALIC, you really should have mentioned that this browser version is a demo. That's what people are complaining about- not the fact that it is a demo, but that you didn't make it clear that it was one. Even the word"DEMO" somewhere would suffice. The description, as it stands, is just a summary of the game's story and makes it look like the browser version here is the full game.

blowtorch disappears when going out - can only choose it from the leftmost part of the left inventory box (which appears empty)

Demo or not, dePonia is awesome, and at least thIs flash game bRings this to your AttenTion so you can find a way to obtain a copy for yoursElf.
There's a sequel too Chaos on Deponia, and a 3rd to completely the trilogy on the way.

Would not mind that this is a demo, if the only mention of it being a demo wasn't in super tiny font. Feels deceptive as is, which makes me less likely to want to support it.

I cannot BELIEVE how buggy this is. First time I played, I used the baited trap on the dark corner and it disappeared without giving me the toothbrush. Second time, I got all the way to the end, went to light the fuse, and discovered the hand torch had vanished from my inventory. Third time, the fork disappeared into the pot without retrieving the socks. This happened twice. The next time, the boltcutters mysteriously disappeared from my inventory. You guys can design a great game but your programming skills SUCK.

normally give a 1/5 for demos but liked the game, and graphics, s gave it a 2/5 ... i can understand the 10mb limit and all, but there are PLENT of full version games that have MUCH more depth and even replayability than this demo, while still staying within the same 10mb filse size limit ... perhaps the graphics/sound files etc are too big for this sort of platform?
like most of the players here, i'm here for free full version games, rather than demos, even if the full version game has better graphics and ther features than most of what else is on here ... if i waned to pay for full version games, i'd go the the shop and get them ...

was alright, dislike demos on here greatly though. still gave u 3 stars, prob would give 5 if u put the full version out, chase that 1500$ from kong and not a few from me I say.
Thanks for the three stars, and lets just say it was impossible to put the full version out, since it is much longer, HD, was produced by many people, and these people need to eat, too. ;)

broken demo, after place the 3 socks and fork into the pot of detergent on the hotplate/heating, it freezes. No way to continue the cutscene.

sorry not a big fan of demos. Agree with jiberish. No demos. There's already plenty of advertising on this site in the form of banner ads.

Reminds me a bit of playing Monkey Island or King's Quest. I really liked it. It's just too bad you didn't clarify that it was a demo in the developer written text :/

I'm sorry, but I don't come to Kong to play demos that may or may not entice me into buying the full game. I come to Kong to play FREE BROWSER GAMES. This website should not be used as an advertising platform.
Well, we get your point, but I want to add that we did our best to put as much content in the demo as possible, to make it at least as long as the average flash adventure. Due to all the speech files etc. and the fact that we aimed for 10MB at max. we had to cut it down to what you see now. But since the demo covers the whole beginning of the game and two cutscenes I think we did a pretty good job offering as much free gaming experience as possible. Thanks to everyone giving the demo a chance and thanks for your feedback. :)

Excellent graphics, intriguing storyline, and I do love me a good old-fashioned point'n'click. Would be nice if you could include subtitles for the intro and outro too, for the hearing-impaired or the computer-sound impaired.

I loved watching the loading sequence. It was funny and entertaining. Nice interactive point and click game. Though truthfully it didn't really hold my interest too well, the art is still good and the gameplay is nice as well. 3/5
