Why is it so hard to infect Madagascar! I feel like the disease could transfer there through a crashed plane with infected passengers, infected sea animal encounters, bird poo, defective water and air filters, terrorist disease bombs, biological warfare, vaccine sabotage, and a lot of other things. also, the game plays like YOU want to infect the world, and are a character in the game,, and hence you should be able to hop on a plane with diseased snacks and infect places manually.
I do realize it would be hard to program every eventuality, but COME ON, at least do the bird poo from animal migrations!
I'ts a fun and addicting game, though. I like it!

Why is it that some countries close their borders, airports, etc. when the disease has no symptoms but Greenland only closes stuff when there is no one left alive?

If you start anywhere outside Madagascar, getting in Madagascar is a problem. If you start in Madagascar, getting out of Madagascar is a problem.

Soooo... On my 13th attempt this year, and seven years after earning the first three badges I started in New Zealand for the sixth time. Canada was the last place on Earth that Disease Name (I called it "D", "Di" or "Dis" for a while, but that was taking valuable time) had not arrived at. They could see that the virus, which had no visible signs of infection, was taking hold all over the world. Shortly after closing the docks they also closed the airport. The gods whom saught to smite the human race were watching Canada closely. The look of pain on their faces as the airport closed, and then sheer delight as a plane that was already bound for it landed and the news ticker anounced "disease spotted in Canada."

After that the Human race never stood a chance as the symptoms all kicked in. By the 88th day there were no humans on the planet. The gods favourite news report was "Madagascar wiped out by a new hazardous disease," after they had survived seven previous virus outbreaks.

Rodents raise ship infection rate. This makes infecting Madagascar easier. If you start in Madagascar, buy rodents to get OFF the stupid island, and then buy whatever other transmissions you need: insects for Peru for a start. and airborne. The other contries don't react to your current state, they react to the state of the highly infctious country that's making them panic. Because Madagascar only has a port, they'll eventually react by closing all the shipyards...but not airports or borders.
The secret to winning is to start in one of the dead-end countries so that you can leverage these transmissions for as long as possible. Being a paratsite helps here, but you have to be very stingy with your points.

I would think if this was 100% real then as the virus i would only have them sneeze or something then once many people are infected, Kill them.

"Russia closes borders" and "Greenland and Madagascar closes it's ports" are the worst notifications you can ever get.

Dangit, started in Greenland, got Madagascar quickly, so thought that would be the run... but Peru. Peru closed its borders... there's no other way into Peru. :(

The developer fails to understand what selling is. Selling doesn't cost you currency, this game thinks that it does. :P

Dude seriously, Madagascar, WTF??? I've reset like 5 times and NO ONE EVER GETS ILL THERE. Is it a sterile piece of glass for a country or something?

Tip for Impossible badge: unnecessary step (but could be important): Make sure you spawns at Madagascar.
Step 1: keep your virus cool, don't have any symptons
Step 2: Give tiny resistance and transmission
Step 3: watch your virus spread. better wish that they'll spread to all area that is connected by borders
Step 4: Slowly increase the symptons (which is don't be too deadly, and help spread the virus)
Step 5: when all areas exist your disease (this supposed to be about 70 days passed), buy the top deadliest symptons and just wait until everyone dies
