If you research the vaccine asap, by day 30 you can probably close all of the hospitals, since it's likely those regions will be 100% vaccinated by then (on normal difficulty).

After nuking 3 cities,50,000,000 Americans deaths, and blockading Cali from the world, the pandemic was finally over.....for now.

i thought this game is easier than pandemic (that Madagascar..). just open all hospitals and distribute masks to the infected cities until you finished the vaccine (no need to quarantine or closing off border, that took too much money). after that, focus on distributing the vaccine on the high population cities. prioritize the 10m+ population cities first, then 5m+ population and then 1m+ population (the last one only needed if you are playing extreme mode)). distribute it to a few cities until you find around 500k healthy ppl left in that city, then cancel it and go to other cities. you'll win in no time.

I personally find it both confusing and annoying that the cities that aren't infected, often on the other side of the states, start to riot and loot.

OMG. for me whenever I play Florida's infected... and florida always spreads swine flu to Georgia :(. and I'm trying to save Georgia and nuke the heck out of florida.

I was down to under 500 infected in the entire country, no non-inoculated in their state or any of the neighbours, then suddenly "defeat by time". I really hate that mechanic.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Kind of annoying to lose just because it takes ~10 days for the last 10-20 thousand infected in fully contained states to die.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Less than 10 infected for 10 days straight, running full campaigns on that state, with them barricaded in. What the hell.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So, there is a bug which prevented me from winning, and losing. Anyways, i readicated the flu from all of the states, that was when literally EVERY state rioted and looted!

Would like to see more citys per state (and citys inn general). Also, could you add the option to send inn military to kill infected (As a last option).

I was just defeated by time in extreme mode because the only infected left refused to die... Damn you West Virginia!!!

It's disperse not disburse. While disburse is a word and does refer to distribution it applies only to money or other monetary things. To distribute an item (usually until it is completely used up) is to disperse it.

Make sure you can contain the virus early. Curfew or hand out masks to Texas, California, and Florida. Close all seaports and airports in clean regions. Keep them open in infected regions. Once the vaccine is available, start in Florida and contain the virus in New Mexico and Nevada. Keep borders open unless it reaches 5% chance of infection or so. If you use Curfew and Masks effectively, this game should be no problem to beat at all.

Great job president.
You have eradicated Swine Flue from the US
Now we have some population and economic problems since well ya know 30% of the population died.
(Great game)

So, am i missing something or is it just a glitch? I won on Normal mode by erradicating the virus. now i tried on hard mode. By day 35 i erradicated the virus, but the ''win'' screen didn't show up. then, i thought it could be something i had running, so i ended all operations, waited for the media to stop, opened all ports/seaports, hospitals and borders, waited for the Panic bar to empty... now i'm sitting here at day 50+ still waiting for my game to end.

As an addendum to ShinodaII's strategy (which was indeed helpful)... I found that closing the hospitals in the states that have a ~100% Vaccinated Living population can give you more daily funds to disburse vaccines in states that do not have them and have healthy > infected pop.s. As after the vaccine's been developed, the states that have them will be automatically disbursing them 'til that point.

Quality game. I would pay for a much more complex world-wide simulator.
This particular game could be improved by adding uncertainty to the numbers (since government agencies can't know exactly how many people are infected/immune).
