Is it possible to make it so I can put a 3rd research committee if one of my research committees is on a passed bill? So I don't have to wait till the end of the day to put another one. Or is it not possible because of vetoes?

I've already commented that I like the game, but you do continue to amaze me. The patience that you've shown throughout the 504 issues was rather impressive. Even more so was the patience you showed with the people that commented without bothering to read the previous comments. I'm very, very impressed with both this game and you. Nice job. If you ever need any help (random, but still), let me know. You've done what no other developer on this site has: impressed me with their responsiveness and ability to help people out beyond just saying, "Hey, thx. Glad you like it."

I think the best way to deal with the noobie problem is simply to have the cheapest bills not do much, since they're going to be the most common ones, there shouldn't be a big impact from the people just tryin' to get some more clout to do the REAL DEAL STUFF
They already don't do much... but there are thousands of people coming in per day. I doubt it'll be that much of a problem in the long run, but I guess we'll find out.

Delsoford, I can't reach the bottom of the bills page within 5 seconds! This is a scary experience. What brought all these people here?
So remember how at a few points in the game's past people came and downrated it en masse for no reason and claimed it was P2W and such? Kongregate's solution was to advertise the game to see if it would fix the rating. They were skeptical it would, and thought the game was rated fairly accurately. It shot from 3.51 to 3.77 now in a couple days. Which pretty handily confirms my suspicions that the rating fraud had a serious impact. And we get 10k+ new players out of it. Seems like a pretty good deal.

Game says: "You should read/watch teh tutorial before you start because the game is very complex" Yes the game is very complex! AND i can't find the tutorial :( How am I supposed to get into it?
The tutorial starts as soon as you create your character. Look in the log on your status screen. The one that had "HEY LISTEN" pop up over it when you created.

NOTE (help): I mistakenly double-clicked "deposit clout" when depositing in my offshore acc. When it loaded there was 0 clout deposited and 0 on hand. I lost 1196 clout :/
I'll look into this. Don't double-click any buttons in the future, especially not important ones. Just reload the page or click a header link if you're not sure if something worked due to network latency.

Another player confirmed my character didn't exist in-game, so I've just gone ahead and remade it. Feel free to ignore my previous comment unless it's part of a trend.
For whatever reason it seems only you and one other person were targeted by this. There's literally no code in the game that ever deletes a record from the users table (and there is certainly no code that would remove the rows from the backup as well), so I know for a fact the DB was tampered with.

My Congressperson appears to have been wiped out. I had just started the night before last, name of Eironi. Now trying to access Clout brings me to the character creation screen.
Yes, I'm logged in to Kongregate. No, I have not wiped my cookies or other data in the last 48 hours. I've tried refreshing the game. The last time I was able to get in successfully was about 1 AM my time, 20 hours or so ago.
Anything else obvious that I missed? Is my character retrievable, or do I just bite the bullet and start a new one, relieved that at least I only lost a day and a half or so of gameplay?
The people interfering with the game had my hosting company or someone there manually remove a few people's characters from the database. The last one was also removed from the daily backup information, but I had a two-day-old backup that still contained their character. I can look for your data and try to restore it, but if you'd only been playing for one day it's probably faster to recreate. Just let me know if you prefer your character get restored for some reason.

No. The servers handled that completely fine, as you saw for the first three days of the advertising. In fact, after some performance tweaks: the server actually consumed less resources than it did before the newbie flood.

@delosford I know how to take a screenshot,but not how to send it to you, I am quite new to Kongregate. Also, I am going to black out my IP adress as well as my ISP IP adress... just for safety reasons

So I sent an angry email to support@cacloud.com, hopefully if enough of us send, they'll actually do something. Aside from that, I ran a tracert to cloutserver.net and of course got mainly timeouts, especially starting after the 9th hop. Hopefully, the hosting company will finally do something soon. And don't worry dev, we don't blame you. :)
Thanks for being understanding, and helpful with the emails. Just send them whenever it goes down and hopefully they'll get in the habit of fixing whatever the problem is.
