My recommendation is to have the tank swivel fluidly, instead of in clunky 90 or 180 degree turns. Possible future upgrades could be rotation speed for your turret as well. 4/5

It's a very soothing shooter game. I hold down the mouse button as soft music plays, and watch my enemies burst far away in the distance.... buy nothing but mining equipment as soon as you start. Play on easy. Chill. It's the easiest card I've got yet. :P

(Stupid Character limit)(cont. from last post)
Oh, and the Cormorant being able to do damage to the player regardless of their shield level is B.S. too. (It's just about impossible to take one down before it goes for the first bombing run, BTW)
So, there's my .02$, for what it's worth. (And for the record, I didn't play the game on Easy or Medium, so my complaints may be limited to Hard mode. Regardless, they're still just as valid.)
3/5 for solid gameplay, but STAGGERINGLY bad design choices.

I'll admit, I like the game. I liked it enough to play it through to the end on hard mode, and then just enough to get the badges. But there's something that this game fails to grasp that prevents it from reaching the masses.
That thing is the difficulty. And I'm not talking the difficulty of shooting down the individual enemies, I'm talking the kind of "difficulty" that REQUIRES the player to purchase upgrades to combat it.
The point of the EMP and Nuke upgrades should be that they are a helpful item to have, but not necessary to complete the game. Unfortunately, in Vector Conflict, that is not the case. To stand any sort of chance against the enemies in the later levels, you have to use the purchased weapons.
Not, "it will help you immensely if you use the items," but "If you do not use the items there is no physically possible way you can manipulate this game to shoot down every enemy before they tear your shield apart, followed by your base" (cont. in next post)

A fun pseudo 3d game... a great addition to the online flash game world!
The music, however, though it is good, really doesn't fit the game.

I like the premise except for two things. 1) I spent most of my time spinning in circles checking for stealth tanks, while watching a tiny postage stamp radar in the corner of the screen. I'd really rather spend most of my time shooting at stuff. 2) No auto-fire means I have to hold the mouse button down just about all the time. It's just a needless annoyance. 3/5.

Before level 6 you want to make sure you have all 4 mines and the recyle upgrade. That way you can buy as much stuff as you need before the last levels. You will need atleast 10 nukes 70 Rockets and 15 EMPS for the last wave. Only use 3 nukes on the two Cormorant during the last wave. GL!

Great game. One reviewer said it reminded him/her of the old game Descent. For me, the wiry frames seem like they were fully inspired from a Commodore 64 game I used to play called Arctic Fox.

Stupid game. I had more than enough money made from the level to buy more supplies but couldnt get back into the shop, so I ran out of missiles and lost. Garbage gameplay.

Lots of fun, but the Survival ramps up too quickly, I think, not really much time to have "fun" before it crosses into "frantic tedious". The campaign was far more fun. 4/5 though, very nice.

awsome game! i found the perfect song to go with this game too >:) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sN48mntwMC4 [DISTURBED FTW!!!!!!]

It felt tedious when wave after wave of guys go straight for you, then give you 5-10 seconds to recharge your shields. All in all it was okay, but not amazing. 3/5

Not sure how this is worth more than two stars. It's a bad (as in even more primitive) Battlezone clone. Oooh, vectors. Big deal. If you were in a tank rather than a fixed turret, this might have a little merit, but 3d environs are thoroughly meaningless if you can't move. Truly lame that this gets a card and big points.

very good i think these kind of game are uh "rare" to me but the only first person shooter game were kind of lame but this one takes the cake 10/5
maybe shading in the lines would be good....still doesn't matter.... the game is very well made there is a nice "variety" of enemys i have to agree with Mercerskye sometimes i did i feel like im defending a stronghold... (maybe more story doesnt matter also) VERY FREAKIN GOOD GAME!!!!

old school and hard as hell. To bad theres nothing that really DRAWS YOU INTO THE STORY. Don't see how games as plain as the ps1 style shooters made it through this far.

Good to see DigYourOwnGrave and its awesome vector games again. This one was a puzzling mix of too easy and too hard, but it was fun, and that's what really matters.

Not too many of these flash shooters draw my attention, and I'll admit, I figured at first, 'Great, another one that I need to earn a card.' But I'll say, that this game went past my expectations, and will probably make it to my favorites list. The game play wasn't boring, and I hardly felt like I had to 'spaz shoot' the whole time in order to make it anywhere. The upgrade tree is well thought out, and you're not really feeling like you have to pick any one upgrade first over others. Survival is whooping my butt, but I don't feel lost playing it. I'll be back at this game again I think. And I like how the graphics weren't pushed to be top notch, I think the retro 'battlezone' feel was actually quite agreeable, and the music choice was well done, I could at times 'feel' like I was actually defending the last stronghold of whatever group of people were holed up inside =) Definitely worthy of a 5/5 in my book.
