Some tips: The vampire is probably the best class, with a healing and mass attack power. Try to take out monsters in 1 hit if possible. A good offense is the best defense. Explore the dungeon floors as much as you can before fighting, since you might find upgrades or allies. Wait to open barrels until all of the unexplored squares around them are gone (might be a monster that will block you). Save all fireball scrolls for levels 10+ and use them to take out ranged foes. Lightning scrolls can be good in arenas, since you're hitting ~8 monsters. Wait until the next floor to exchange scrolls for health if possible, you might get more for them.

Good game.
But I'm immortal xD ... Please implement a button to suicide xD
I'm in the dungeon 286, with 9990 of life (max) and 514 damage ... and advancing xD ... I can not die, so I can not raise the skill of the assassin xD
Who has not thought about selling swords in the greedy door and sell all objects to try to die ;D
PS ... I now understand the message when you died ... "Congratulations, You have died" ... Is the real challenge of the game ... xD

What's frustrating in this game is that it feels like I'm being punished a lot more than I'm being rewarded. In a system based in luck, its important that they tend to balance out over time, that I feel like I have a chance of doing well sometimes, and not just encountering a barrage of bad luck constantly. This could be by making the upgrades or items more significant, or just making my character a little more powerful, or better health increases, what have you.

Failed to load, and even the pc download is going to take hours. There is a major problem with where ever your files are hosted.

Rogue with trap avoidance skill would be nice. He could also have something that allows him to get bonus gold? I dunno I just like rogues. Maybe a Bard? Whose only ability is he unlocks bonus soundtracks? Make him the hardest unlock.

OK, I played the game 2 days. I am giving a 3/5. I would be happy to give a 4, but there are things that seem out of balance. 1) You never get enough gold to really advance. 2 days, and I am still working on upgrading my skills for 1 character. 2) Even with fully upgraded lifesteal, I die fast to low level monsters. If the monsters always attack first, and always hit, then the chance of skill procs need to go up. 3) Range attackers on the other side of the screen are just too overpowered. Since they always hit, they will kill you if you do not have the right magic. 4) I have gone 5 levels before seeing a chest. 5) Quests are cool, but they need to happen more often. 6) 4 traps on the same level ???

"Dungelot is a fun casual roguelike that plays almost like a strategic Advent Calendar." You're had a deprived childhood if your Advent calendar tried to kill you...

The fact that this game *congratulates* me upon dying makes this quite possibly one of the more enjoyable roguelike games I've played. No bitter feelings upon dying, nothing negative.

love it. would like to see some more everlasting upgrades other than health and the specials. like say 1 base damage each 5 gems or so.

You might want to tell everyone that holding down "Ctrl" and scrolling to zoom in fixes the screen issue. (make sure you click somewhere on the page out of the game first)

Upgrading the vampire's 'Undead Simpathi' sounds like it's a bad thing... You get more use out of increased damage on your end than decreased damage on theirs.
If you're going to keep it like this, at least give us the option to 'undo' the levels.

It's annoying that you can't upgrade your starter dmg, because when you don't find swords on the first levels you get nowhere...

Tips: 1.) At your first shop spend all your gold on damage. After this you'll never need to buy anything from the shop again. 2.) Always kill ranged units as soon as possible. 3.) Get a lantern and avoid traps. 4.) Sell everything except lantern and ring of health when inventory gets full. 5.) Always clear every floor, open every chest, do every arena. 6.) At greed doors never spend damage (the sword icon). That's it for now.

Is it just me, or is the size of this game off? It shows a rectangle where the game is located, but like half the screen is not shown and where I click does not correspond to where it clicks in the game.

Very good game. Skills max out a bit quickly, such as vampire drain ability - which limits the lifespan of the game a bit.

I hate to say that, but hatever you did with the new update totally unbalanced the game. Playing as an Assassin it's become nearly impossible to die. Even Vampire is far too easy. I liked the game better when it was harder.

Some bugs/glitches: 1.It is possible for blocks to be completely surrounded by pits/rubble/wall/corner, making them unaccessible. 2.Sometimes when you split a slime monster it counts as a kill and you can pop the surrounding blocks without killing the smaller slime. 3. The %values of most skills seem to be way lower than stated in the tooltip. 4. Blood drain rank 4 says it has a 20% chance to drain 8 hp, in the actual game it drains 10 hp, but the chance seems to be more like 10%. 5. Spending points in undead sympathy actually makes it worse, since the chance to deal significantly less dmg to undeads far outweights the minor drain in attackpower.

i'm at the level 147, with 3552 hp + 2 resurrection stone, but i have no motivation to continue. It would be nice addition to have some issue after you get the character benefits, for example at every 25 stages would good to fight against a special stage boss etc...
At the other hand, i find this game really creative and humouros, so keep up the good work congrat for the name of all other players!

Bug: If you purchase or otherwise receive bonus attack power while under the zombie power debuff you'll gain double when the debuff wears off. (I.E. 20 before debuff becomes 10 after debuff, plus one becomes 11 debuff wears off your power becomes 22) + so dev can see.

Unlocking a golden sword to upgrade your start attack power could be a nice thing to add . Like you get 1 every time you get to floor lvl 20 or 1 time only for every 5-10 floor lvl you manage .
