Wow..... just unlocked the human warship, and I turned it into a gunship.... all it has is type 2 and 1 stingers and that alone is way too powerful for an elite destroyer, except for the stealthers.. Why have all that technology when you can eliminate them with brute force? (tip: Type 1's are the BEST for dogfighters, 2's are the second best for all people, and three's..... not that good.)

@will_doom1: No. Humans have harder-hitting weapons and mostly smaller ships than their alien counterparts. The alien Defender has 30 more shield than its counterpart, the Nymph, but that is to compensate for being a lot bigger and therefore easier to hit. Other than that, ships on either side have a ship on the other side with the exact same stats.

Engine Overdrive
The Engine Overdrive (EOD) is far and away the most common Utility used. It grants your ship an immediate and instant speed of about 30, which lasts for about 12.5 seconds. The speed granted by the EOD cannot be voluntarily bled off before the duration expires; the EOD will continue affecting your ship until its duration completes. If you attempt to slow down using the down arrow key, the speed of 30 will be reduced by your ship's normal reverse speed once per half-second or so, which will result in a somewhat slower, but jerky movement. If the up arrow is not held down while EOD is firing, a similar but lesser effect will be felt. However, the EOD does not seem to stack with your ship's normal speed if you hold down the up arrow; a Triton on EOD seems to be just as fast as a Pegasus on EOD.

By the way i think that you have
equipted your chariot very badly (i have used it so i know that i mean) becouse:
1. AT torpedoes damege is about as good no damage at all ( T1 stingers are much better)
2. Micro compresion photon bomb is only usefull if droped near enemy space stations but isnt good enough to destroy all turet (HE Proxy, TB, Stelth, and Heat Seeking mines, are better against ships, and you get more than one). However if you equipment works well use it, i suggest better damage from weapon and more usefull mines

Actualy you dont have to sell your weapons and other thing from older ship when buying a new one becouse you get discount of refund at the same time you purvhase another ship.
Rank raises at kill count of: 25(or 26), 51, 101, 201, 401, 801, 1601, 3201, 6401, 12801 don't remember now if there is a rank at 25601 but i believe there is.
For beacker1160 defence turrets in the middle of sector with no station is no glich later in game then you get clearance missions you will see that sometimes there will be 3 or 4 of them.

The Nymph is a killer craft. I sold the mining tool, mining is a waste of time. Plasma cannon and shield extractor for mid range; energy cell, inverse gravity, and overdrive for utility; two proxi blasters for close combat. I can outslug a Destroyer now.

My ship is so powerful it can take down an oppressor! It's an Chariot fast attack ship with hyperspace recharger! Here's it's weapons (this is for HUMANS only): EMP, Thunder bolt missile, LASS stealth system, Micro photon compression bomb, reverse laser, and AT torpedo.

I love the aliens for their turning speed... The very first ship can take out a swarm of human light drones without a problem.
I do like the human energy drain beam... I got bored with the game, I'm going to wait till the sequel comes out.

Slayman i use Nymph too but there are no allien ships that can make any problems unsels they are carrying Ultra vortex bombs.
I have equiped my Nymph with:
1. Plasma cannon ( for blasting 100-300 shield things)
2. Type 1 stingers ( for scouting the close targets if they have EMP or TP and finishing those who are heading other way then me)
3.Energy Extracting Beam (for refueling my plasma cannon or EMP blast Proxy)
4.LASS( for disabling EMP and TP best used at range of 2000)
5.Engine overdrive(for traveling from sector 19-2 to 0-2 quickly)
6. Emp blast (for turnin of gatherers, destroyers, and enforcers)
7.Proximity blast( finishing of gatherers, destroyers, and enforcers and for dealing with swarms of 100 shield enemies)
Pulse core engine and hyperspace always loaded to return to sector 19-2
Never runs out of endurance for me

Also, in case anyone else has troubles with drone ambushes (past 150 kills or so they start carrying EMPs and Thunderbolt Torpedoes), I've found that giving up one of my utility slots on my nymph (which would otherwise be occupied by a 2nd energy cell) and getting an Inverse Gravity Field Generator cuts down my endurance a bit (only have 1 energy cell) but increases my survivability a lot. Just have to remember never to fight when: A) Engine overdrive is used up. B) Inverse Gravity Field Generator is used up... Except when you see shiny Elite Destroyers, then maybe you can't help but make 'em explode. :)

If the Z doesn't work, turn off caps lock. Also to all of the money making schemes, early on if you need money, get the cheapest available ship with 20 speed, do some courier missions until you can afford a hyperspace recharger then continue with your courier missions for a bit. Later on, just visit a threat rating 1 sector and blow up some aliens, money really does quickly become a non-factor in this game.
