I loved it. The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is pretty good and simple, just add an WASD control option. I agreed with the ask for more features suggested here, like quests and so on, but it's a new game, people! Im sure the developer is thinking about all this stuff!

Curacao is rather buggy, when first sailing in the island didn't appear until my ship was inside it (sailing on dry land) and once I went to sell my goods, I can't get back to the game anymore, just getting a blank screen.

There is a hidden Island on the south part of the map by where the picture of the ship being eatenby the octopus is. The name of the Island is Santa-Catalina and it's home to the most powerful ship called the Victory. It's got better stats and is bigger than the Man of War.

I love how this game has no instructions, and was ever only uploaded to Kong to promote selling via the app store. Seriously, worst game ever. So much better naval war games out there.

this game has potential, but the little things matter for instance:(1 Iphone app sign covers up your money.(2 when you go into battle the view goes all screwy, keep it the same.(3 when you are buying ships, I want to know what my ships stats are, and I can't.
fix these and your game is really good.

Great game, though I did find a few issues: 1) I found it strange that I could sail right through islands. 2) Sometimes my ship wouldn't enter a port. 3) The iPhone app ad did not allow me to see how much money I was carrying. And finally 4) Just something that pokes at me, they didn't use dollars in those days. I'm just a little bit of a historical accuracy fanatic ;). Otherwise great game. Certainly addicting.

After taking a sample of each islands goods and prices twice (22 total excluding Curacao which is bugged) I have compiled a list of high and low prices for the goods you trade. Fish low=20 high=50,, Rugs low=40 high=90,, Sugar low=80 high=170,, Rum low=100 high=210,, Coffee low=110 high=260.
I have noticed no correlation between location and the prices so far.

The cannons in this game have the unique ability to fire on either side of the ship very quickly, to bad that the 'operators' of the 'turrets' are not controlled by the captain (user).
I think a better idea would be to have cannons on both sides of the ship and both sides can be fired by pressing different buttons. This way the user can avoid missing because the cannon target was on the opposing side.

I strongly suggest dmitry read these comments, many of them are excellent advice for updates/new games.
I find the combat is lacking something crucial - A way to lower the anchor. What use is the down arrow anyway?
The environment could also have more of an impact. Maybe islands can hurt your ship when running into them. I think wind should have a much larger factor then before too, maybe storms and swells could really change ships directions but with significant warning of course.

as many others already said this is a GREAT game but I dont like upgrade system... fully upgraded caravel is imo way better than new "man of war" ,the best ship in the game, which is really disapointing, true, one upgrade of weapons/hull, which is not cheap ( +really expensive repairs of your new ship), and its ok but... you know what I mean :)

Amazing game! consider the top comments they have great ideas. also maybe add a boarding option, instead of destroying the ships have a chance to capture them.

EXCELLENT GAME. Change the Money to GOLD. Pirates at that time rarely used cash. Also add bounties. Have like 6 factions: red sail pirate, black sail pirate, England, France, Spain, Independent Merchant. You could also do missions: Courier (passanger or document or item), Escort, Search and Destroy, Rescue.

Such a great game, but please consider the top rated comments, they have great ideas. This game needs a sequel or an upgrade. One thing I did not see yet in the comments is the ability to turn the music off. It was great for the first few hours of play but after a while it made my ears bleed. Add an option to switch music tracks and turn them on/off alltogether. Also consider adding more music. Looking forward to an update!

Good Start. A changing wind direction would make the sailing more of a challenge, i.e., realistic
- The AI directed fleet actions are pretty good,(read attack by multiple ships).
-Game needs some goals. After getting the largest ship, all upgrades, it gets pretty boring.
-Too many small vessels. A fleet of merchant vessels guarded by men of war would add alot to the game.

you should be able to deploy oars at times of need for a short period of time wich you can also upgrade. and what this game also needs is smaller ships that come along and you have them to protect you a little bit better like they can be on defensive wich they surround your ship in tight formation to take cannon balls for your ship(the smaller ships have less hp and are easier to sink and you can hit them by accident) another option could be distract where ships randomly swarm around the attacking ship(very risky move for different game play styles)

reminds me of sid meiers pirates. a mobile game with similar properties well i would say this was based off sids pirates

everyone says add weapons, i disagree, having only standard cannons adds a little biy of a challenge in my opinion. however i do agree with pretty much everything else, perhaps you should also consider putting info on what the upgrades actually accomplish rather than having the player guess which im still not sure what they do. but PLEASE continue development. this has to be the potential to be a really kick ass game

once you buy a large ship, you have zero money, and they are mostly useless in fights, they absorb massive amounts of damage, and even though they are almost impossible to sink, it costs so much to fix them, that raiding other ships is pointless, because even if you only get hit a few times, it costs more to repair than the amount of "spoils" are worth.

PROBLEMS: 1. Left/Right arrow key turning lockup, causes massive money/time loss from all the normally EASILY avoidable damage. 2. Letting players choose which side of their ship their cannons shoot from and when. This is a major problem especially when the cannons are upgraded. I can't "snipe" other ships from long range when the cannonballs can actually reach that far, because over half that time they shoot from the OPPOSITE side of my ship! I assumed the mouse could determine the direction but it doesn't. 3. The menus simply haven't had effort put into their design, they're not appealing and most players don't know what they do until after clicking them, common sense. 4. The island clipping allows ships to force their way through the land. 5. "Sell All" button please. 6. World map that allows setting waypoints to plot a course please. 7. Overhaul of "trading system" please. 8. More weapons.

Hmm we ARE going to get surrounded by enemy ships, right? So, I suggest ramming other ships as an option to kill my enemies, at the cost of health. Also, maybe we could have a crew on board the ship and when the ship is close enough to another enemy ship, they'll hijack the ship (if they are strong enough) and take control of it. And there you have it! An ally ship! You can also withdraw your pirates if you want. Oh, and lastly, this WILL make a great multiplayer!

Really like this game! Only fix I would add is the control error where the ship stops turning left/right after shooting. The player has to press left or right again after shooting to continue turning. 4/5

The iPhone link covers the area where you can see how much money you have. All in all, a great game with lots of little problems.

Love it!!! But it needs a lot of work, For one, i have had ships dissapear while im fighting them, not sink, just go poof. Second, Some times it doesn't let you into a port for no apparent reason, so i find myself going in and out of the same port five or six times just to dock. Even worse, i've had a whole island dissapear on me, it actually let me into that port though, then the island disappeared AGAIN, and now im staring at a blank screen and can't do a thing. Bug fixes, and it'll earn that last star!!!
