A damage mode and a stunt mode would be very funny: a free roaming race where you have to beat the opponents by doing more damage to yourself and, in the second type of run, by earning more money by doing stunts, both in a limited amount of time... or until you reach a certain amount of pain or cash. ^_^

The major problem here is while you can choose where you jump and how you land, you don't choose where you land. If you go off a ramp you are not guaranteed you will land where the race wants you to land. Perhaps some type of nudge system so we can re-adjust where we will hit the ground? Something not limited like boost or resets (why are resets limited anyways).
hmmm, you're right i think i'll remove the reset restriction (except for chicken!) - it'll be in the next update probably saturday. i see what you're saying with the nudge but i don't think it would work in practice. thanks : )

A few questions and suggestions.
-Do AI's use nitro?
-I think "drifting" should get you nitro, and perhaps money/points
-An online multiplayer would rock my socks
not currently - i figured the ai was tough enough as it is. i'll probably add down the line when i can better set up their difficulty. mp would be awesome but this is our first game and that's a bit out of our league at the moment : )

The cars need better steering. I`m loosing the two bandidos just because of that, and just because you do a jump with a car, it doesn`t mean the car HAS to flip over.
have you tried easy steer in the options menu? when your car is airborne the keys switch to air control - if you don't want to flip release the gas key.

To fly over the wall,(or anywhere really...) just go off a ramp and then keep hitting boost repeatedly. You get an instant speed boost from it activating, and its enough to keep you in the air if you're facing near straight up. You can also just boost into the wall and that will make you go straight up. :3

I can't play the game? It says Failed to download data file. Error details.
I click on error details, it says download failed, please retry..??? I don't get it...the game was alright, even played a few races. Then....
in playtesting we found that keeping the performance consistent in these modes allows players to easier hit the markers and chase/ram the other cars - as an example you would not be able to hit some of the hardest red markers with a stock mako its not fast enough. we may ultimately allow this (and probably for whatever car just change the performance) not sure yet : )

Am I the only one who finds Hot Dog mode the hardest? I can get a reserve of 9:30 in Interceptor by round 4 but can't pass round 6 in Hot Dog. On a side note, if you get to round 12 in Interceptor mode after unlocking the car for purchase you get 100,000$.
one tip for hot dog: if you know how to get some of the red ones get as many as possible in the early rounds to pad out your time (there are always 10 green, 5 red and 5 yellow each round). FYI you will get $200,000 if you hit round 25 also : )

I literally made an account on Kongregate just to comment and rate this game.
First of all, I'd like to thank you for creating this game. I've been playing it since it came out- great for warding off boredom!
Second, everyone should stop complaining that this game is hard to play. Start off with Hot Dog mode. You earn money, and you can get a handle on all of the controls for the game. In no time I was ready to compete in races, and all because I took the time to practice and get better with the controls.
Overall, a great game! My only regret is I upgraded to the second car before the prices were lowered. Again, thank you for this game!

Bug please fix: I have reached round 12 in intercepter but i
didnt get the V8 intercpeter! it did say that i have unlocked it but i havent ):
i still need to buy it for 300,000 please fix! it's mega hard to reach round 12
and when you dont get that car you have figthed for you just want to smash the
computer -_-

Notice!!! I died in a race RIGHT AFTER i crossed the finish line, and didn't get the reward, is this intended, accidental, or a glitch?
agreed, i think its going to be too much to add to this version though but it will definitely be in the larger one we're working on. thanks - nice score btw : )
thanks! because its all 3D the maps are very costly as far as download size - actually the most expensive item by far (with cars being second) - we wanted to keep it small so people on slower connections don't have to wait so long to play : )

@doctahJonez i see what you mean with the drifting part there are no additional functions or buttons to use! its only the arrow keys(for drivng) and shift(to start the drift)
oh and about the stats, i didnt know pickup was acceleration, =D so will there be a sequel for this? this game TOTALLY made my days really fun =D

I really want to know that why is the V8 interceptor much more expensive than the wedge gt but is slower that the wedge gt?
we have plans already for a 'gonzo' mode in which (among many other things) you will be chased - but i'm not sure if it will be this version or the larger one we're working on as its going to be a lot of work. thanks : )

another thing, i was looking for a handbrake here (lol) but seriously it needs one so we can keep car in control and make tight turns. no car ever came out the factory with no handbrakes, right?
oh that gives me another idea to earn money and add a game mode: DRIFTING! hows this for a new game mode?
handbrake is shift - also fyi using that and back arrow together will get you stopped very quickly. all controls are shown in the controls panel of the instructions. drifting (and weapons etc.) was considered but we felt that with air control already more buttons/functions just made the game too complex so we left them out for now : )

the controls are the main problem here, obviously
also, the upgrades and cars are too pricey in other games i played the upgrades are within the budget of the player. i also think that during races, there should be an invisible barrier where the boundaries of tracks tell you to go. for some nice ideas. 1. more cars. i hate it when you only have limited cars to play with. there are racing games out there that has lots of cars. 2. more stats and info. currently theres only 2 stats. how about stats like acceleration, aerial maneuverability, handling, etc? it will be a BIG improvement. 3. a bigger map? it is also a lot of work, but it also gives a LOT of fun.
the controls are being worked on right now. i just lowered the price of 2 cars but you're right i should also lower the price of the upgrades (will be in next update). as for the number of cars and size of the map, both are tightly linked to the size of the player which we needed to keep as low as possible for quick streaming. i had experimented with other car upgrades, gimbal power & handling specifically but in practice it just made controlling the car tougher (the pickup stat is acceleration). thanks for the feedback : )

it would be better if reset places ur car before the checkpoint so that if i dont hit the checkpoint then i can reset my car and drive through it instead of having to reverse it which is very time taking.

I was stoked to get a message from one of the Devs on my comments. It inspired me to go back and check out the game again using some of his suggestions. For one thing, Hot Dog mode is really easy, and a fine way to rack up some early money. I really enjoy the physics and the ability to twist and turn in midair. I do have a suggestion however. When launching, I'm virtually always accelerating, which makes me do a nosedive as soon as my car leaves the ground. Also, the left/right arrows are yaw control when you're wheels are down, but roll control when you're airborne (While A and D take over for Yaw control) That seems really awkward. To fix both problems, I'd move Pitch and Roll to the WASD keys, and have Yaw controlled by the left/right arrow keys both on the ground and in the air. Upgrading my rating to 4/5, communicative devs, and a stunning core game.
thanks! regarding wasd, i will be testing out different control setups to see how it works - if it does i'll put it in as an option. others have mentioned this issue as well (and i agree with you guys it could be better), one way or the other i will have something to try and correct this for the next update : )

thx cause earning money is much easier now but if i get 2/4 stunt markers in a race i should i get my 1000 and not have to get the other 2 for my full bonus of 2000

well it would be pretty easy to resolve you already have space as boost so you could switch the driving controls to wasd leave the yaw on the a and d keys so if you leave the ground during a corner the effect to your turn is not so severe and keep the pitch and roll on arrows. just a suggestion.
i see what you are saying but it is still complicated - for example i need a separate key for alt boost (currently 'W') because some older keyboards won't do certain key combinations with the space bar, with that issue the traditional wasd setup doesn't work well. still now that my current update is live i'm going to test different setups and will include it in the next update if it works out. thanks again : )

game has alot of potential graphics are nice, world physics are kool, actually its generally a good game all round apart from one niggling issue, air controls, if your holding forward to keep your acceleration on your car starts to flip as soon as its off the ground this in freeroam mode is totally annoying as jumping onto the road from grass is a feat to achieve in itself because of the car trying to flip. seporating in air controls from ground controls would be great, keep up the good work otherwise. 3/5.
wasd is already taken by other controls but for now if you haven't already you could try turning on medium shadows as that can help to see if you are off the ground. i plan on doing something about this but i'm already playtesting a large update (should be live tomorrow sometime) so it'll have to wait till the next one. thanks for the input : )

Im having a lot of problems in getting enough money to buy a new car cause theyre very expensive so whats the fastest way to make money but its not very difficult?
have you tried hot dog or interceptor? they are hard also but you can make some money fairly quickly if you have the basic car control down. fyi there will be an update sometime tomorrow that makes some of the tracks easier to beat : )
IMO pickup is better on tracks that have sharp turns (harder dirt tracks) and large hills (harder stunt tracks), all else with more flats speed is better : )

we have something similar in the works - a 'gonzo' mode with many crazy features but the relevant one being there are homing mines that chase you (with more and faster ones as you progress in rounds). not sure yet if it will be included in this game or the next version. thank you for the input : )
