would be nice if castles on map had pts listed so we can see how hard lvl is before clicking. and, hate that if I'm still selected on a tower and then hit a tower option, it switches what I already have laid down. shouldn't even be possible.

penalizes you indirectly for finishing a map early. so say you beat the map in 3 minutes. great. but you get XP based on monsters killed. well, you didn't have to kill as many monsters, so you get less XP. which then means you can't upgrade skills as fast, which is a penalty for doing well! idea would be to adjust XP award based on monsters killed AND time.

Most annoying about this otherwise "okay" game:
you HAVE to build your defense BEFORE the monsters start appearing. HOWEVER, you have no way to tell just WHAT towers will be affective and which wont do jack, and you can't sell anything if you got it wrong. very very frustrating

Major points for vreativity. This is a good take on the TD genre.
However, it takes far too much time to build up your towers on the workshop screen, and by the 4th map, the ballista and mortal towers are essentially useless.
Might want to balance the monsters against what is reasonable for a player to be able to handle.

Found another issue - if you attempt to upgrade the Wyvern tower weapon but don't have enough money, it stops firing for several seconds.

Ok the concept is good, but you need to put 2 buttons for sounds and music, the music is a little irritating would like the choice to mute the music but leave the game sounds.

Since almost all TDs lately are just the same, I like this one. Concept is thing, about most of the game makers seem to forget. There is a lot room for improwentment here. But for ability of making game whis is't another clone of the clone, of another clone I give 5.

the only problem I have seen so far is that you have to watch very close as you are building another tower close to others as you may just switch out one that you have already built.

Four words.... Diamond in the rough. 3/5 right now just because this feels like it was hastily put together (lots of grammatical error)

I am entertained. Needs some work: next round button does not always work, there are several spelling and grammar issues. Graphics - who cares? It's a flash game, people.

i just don't get why, if upgrading towers' level costs no money at all, i must click the tower to upgrade itself ? Just make 'em upgrade themselves each level. A poor game overall. no match for the top 5.

This game needs ridiculous amounts of polish. It is very poorly constructed. It might be a good game under all that bad interface, but it hardly matters because the dev obviously doesn't care enough to polish it even a little bit. 1/5 stars.

Another point... why does an enemy will full hp do the same damage to me as one which would die in 1 shot? Damage done to your camp should depend on the opponent's hp

Other annoying things after playing a little... You can't see what the current wave is, plenty of times I've wondered, "why am I doing no damage to these guys?"... Still annoyed by the music on the map screen... Map screen defaults to the top right on exiting upgrade screens, change this to be your last position... The achievements look like I've already earned them, make the gems see-through if you don't have them, or not there at all, don't show benefits of them either, that ruins it a little... spending all your upgrade points in a hero at the beginning really ruins the game, it's over before you face waves in the double digits

Never mind, you decided to put it in the game, but not on the map/main menu... very annoying... Also, why have to press "u" to upgrade, when upgrading is free? Unnecessary work... Also, why helicopters in a medieval style game? Just ruins it...

This game just hit the top 5 weekly board, so I thought I'd see if it's any good. I regret it. At first I thought this game was a joke, but sadly it's not. The font used for changeable text is horrible, to start. The graphics in-game aren't even average. Tower setup is a joke, at least, and the "hero" idea was shot to hell here. 2/5 for effort, though. It had a lot of potential. If a continuation is made, try to fix at least some of these flaws.

You people are terrible at these games. There are definitely more than two towers so it shows that you guys can't even play these games correctly.

All you folks saying there are only two tower types should play the game a bit more and look at the upgrade screens. To the developer - good start, needs polish. Some great ideas though, I really like it. Bugs too. Hope you keep working on it.

This is a REALLY good game........ just awfully boring :\
The overall mechanics and gameplay is nice, the upgrade system... could use a bit of work but it's not bad as such. Generally it just needs a really heavy polish and you got an amazingly nice game :)

Uhm... So we get a casual TD with 2 towers, a nonsense-hero concept and crappy graphics, additionally a completely dumb and annoying music? Nfcods
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
should allow some sort of experience gain from loosing the level. Also minor fixes of the typos and its a pretty solid game. Maybe a bonus for speeding up the waves since it does make the game more difficult

Good game, nice to see some creativity on TD games... but Training Ground seems to have lost my points to spend. I reset the points, left without spending them, and now they're gone...

I like TD games.. a novel twist..
I only played the first 6 levels. The game rewards mediocre play, crushing the levels fast and hard SHOULD be rewarded! Instead one have to drag out the battle to try and get a highscore. OH and way to many options. This game need some balancing. 3/5
