so am I supposed to see an enemy? or is it just shoot into space randomly. cause all I'm seeing is myself, two or three structures, and my shots, then at 22 seconds I die unless I've been randomly shooting in all directions.

This is way too fun.
But a couple of things that should be noted:
Firstly, you can get kills endlessly after death by dying as you have a charged shot.
Probably why the top score is far above every other score.
Secondly, spinning in circles with a charged shot makes you indestructible, so if you make a survival mode you'll need to have that not make you indestructible.

I hate the 'game in ten days' challenge. All it does is encourage devs to throw something together real quick, and you just end up with a half-assed game that isn't even worth clicking on.

Wow, such a simple concept so well executed! The music totally fitting and unlike with most other games I don't instantly yell WHERES THE MUTE BUTTON! - The sounds, and the shake when shooting gives you that feedback that feels so great when activating something. Good Luck with the contest.

Good game, but one problem is that if you simply hold down the right mouse button for the charge shot and keep holding it, it still kills swarmlings. So you can kind of just hold down the charge shot without firing it and cheat at the game. That's the only problem I seemed to have found with it.

Very nice and short game. That there are some swarmers that track you and some others that just do their own thing at their own time is nice. I know the theme was "30 seconds to" but maybe you could have (or if you plan on adding on, do now) put in an endless mode that happened after 30 seconds... it's just a 30 second minimum to reach the high scores. Just a thought.
