Since nobody has come across them as far as I can tell, I thought I'd post hints for the random easter egg levels:
Some city names cause special maps which change the rules a bit.

Map names must contain a certain name to be special. For instance, if 'New York' was a special map, then 'New York City' would also be the same kind of special map.

The author's home town map is a perfect grid, just like in the real world.

In the city from "28 Days Later", the zombies run.

There is a mall city inspired by "Dawn of the Dead".
##
A medical reference from "Night of the Living Dead" creates an extra challenge.
##
Umbrella Corporation's home town is cut off from the mainland but has lots of special buildings.

If you visit the city from "Land of the Dead", survive as long as you can because the zombies can cross the water...
##
In the city where Thriller was shot, the zombies can dance.

i started playing from the beginning that this game was uploaded and i have never seen software (paid for or otherwise) so heavily updated. two thumbs up for this guy on improving the game.

This is probably the best damn zombie game ever (Yes, I have played Dead Rising 1 & 2, Resident Evil, and lots of flash games here. This is exactly what I think when I think "Zombie Apocalypse")

awesome concept for a game, and lots of potential for improvements, more tower types, more weapon ammo types, more resource types, specialist survivors, etc. And of course.. mutant zombies...

straightaways is far and away the hardest map, it's listed as #6 or 7 on the browse maps list. Great job whoever edited it.

in fact, all you end up doing wait for wave to end, demolish sniper tower, build new depot, build new sniper tower, build workshops, give sniper tower max accuracy when wave starts, and repeat from start.

FAIL.
sometimes sniper towers are built in no fire mode, and i can't switch it. sometimes i tell it to provide ammo, and it just won't, nobodies moving. it might have been nice, but untill it's fixed it's useless.
also it would be very nice if you could prioritise or cue orders, rather than having them randomly carry out orders thereby blocking their own way and such.

Love this game, I don't know if you would be able to but could you post or write how you developed this game? I would love to make something similar, but I am no good at coding...

HATE THE CRAP MAPPERS WHO UPLOAD BLANK MAPS ARGGGGHHHHHHHHH!
in the rating part can we have an unplayable button to remove that map from the list? (after a certain number of votes 5 maybe)
and can we have a list of maps sorted by name of map and or maker so we can look for good mappers and avoid crap ones??
at the moment i think less than 1 in 20 maps can even be played let alone rated!!!
but again i LOVE THIS GAME!

@Zyuta There are some custom hard maps that have walls built around the starting area and you have to take them down to get to houses behind them. I forget the name of map I was on but they are out there.

half of the map is swept of by zombies and resource except for building but the other half of the city is swarming with zombies and resources lots and lots of both

Anyway, have sniper towers at corners with walls arround them. Just leave a space for men to come in to supply it.

final mission I just rush all the way to the bridge by using a bunch of depots with some snipers in between. Not the best idea, you'll lost a bunch of depots, but it worked, and then rest is a cake walk.

i can't seem to understand the concept of the freakin zombies gettin smart. ill have two bases and they'll attack the quiet 1. it ticks me off.
