what the inn merchant sells changes way too fast. first, i saw a obsidian shield, i couldnt buy it because i only had 200 coins, i get the other 200 coins, it changes to a pair of boots for 475, i get 75 more coins, it changes to something else for 600 coins

huuuuuuuuuu I had saved my game, was on the 80 floor, one run no death and good mana stuff (so I've farmed for it) buuuuut the saved has not been saved and now I need to do it again all over the beginning... kinda frustrating, even if the game is easy once you have understood how it really works :/

More addition: After glitching past floor 80 and winging out, I can now enter the cave at floor 90. Beside question mark monsters (all stats 0, but one has a fancy flash attack) and cool gear (like a "Haste Ring", which says it reduces the delay between attacks by 33% but doesn't work), I've also found 2 more journal entries after "YEAR 24, DAY 1" which explain why there was no fight against a demon at the end: "YEAR 24, DAY 22: 998. I may go insane", "YEAR 24. DAY 25: 999 today. I ONLY NEED ONE MORE. There seems to be only one fool still exploring this place. I think a... personal visit may be order."; after that, any new page is empty... As for getting there without cheating or a savegame; I'm not sure how it glitched, but I think it's running low on memory and being close to floor 80. If you're "lucky" you will skip floors and get there. Or you'll end up with a black screen and "falling" endlessly (my deepest floor is 18977... yeah, it happens a lot to me) until you reload the game.

Addition to my "Deep down" adventure: Floor 520 loads fine, but going deeper just freezes the game at a blackscreen. Oh well. I'll keep a backup save of the talking sorcerer to remind me of this funny adventure...

I've somehow glitched past floor 80 (long after finishing the game, for some reason I just keep replaying...) and was placed on floor 103.
Monsters are just question marks and don't yield gold or experience, but I've found some interesting equiptment and crafting ingredients. Since floor 105 the game just jumps between shop floors with random people instead of a shopkeeper.
At floor 460 I've met the sorcerer, he just says "You're not supposed to be able to talk to me! Something glitched! :(".
That's some great game design here (although it crashed earlier after talking to an other inexistent Person...)!
I think I can still use the Wings, but do I want to? Hm... Nope. Let's see what else I will meet on my path down into what seems to be oblivion :-) ...

TIPS AHEAD:
1. If you want easy run, put literally every level up point to defense and carry gears for each elemental resistances, this way you don't need to return to town at all and even the last enemies hit only 0-3 health points. Only the last boss will hit around 60 with each hit but by then you have like 50+ health potions (and you can craft even more). Mana and health regeneration is also nice to have so if in some point you don't have right gears against certain enemies, it will heal you up and with mana you can use heal spell.
2. Money gathers way too much for you to spend so buy all the potions in the shops just if you need more mana for enhancing items or if in some point you end up losing some health. You should also buy the best materials for your needs.

-SPOILERS-
Really disappointed by the ending. I know this isn't the full version, but with so many journals being about a demon summoned from 1000 souls I was sure that would be the final boss. Good game overall, but mp regen enchantments seem almost necessary in the later parts, so i have to run from room 30 up to the end looking for cabbages just to enchant stuff.

Vivi, the point of the save is if you have to leave in the middle of a cave run. The point of save overide is that death actually has a penalty in this game.

Turns out the shady guy next to the inn doesn't show up until after two runs or if you reach a certain floor, then it unlocks the shady guy?

The problem with this game is that the save button is literally useless, i went down 30 floors and saved, i died, my save file was overwritten and i started back at floor 30, do you know how annoying is that? I literally wanted to tell the game creators to never make a game again, unless they wanna a bad time.

so, what is going to happen to the crystal that contains nearly a thousand souls... thats alot of power to just lie around... and wait to be discovered...

I still cannot figure out how to save a game. I realize that if I die, the game is gone, but I just want to save a game and be able to come back to it. Can someone please help me? My computer is a Mac is that makes a difference..

TIP: If you upgrade your artifacts instead of normal stuff you will KEEP those artifacts' upgrades instead of collapsing normal stuff when you leave.
