I just beat the game on Very Hard difficulty using every race.To those of you who are saying this game's too hard, I assure you all it's possible. Keep trying different build orders and unit compositions! :)

The easy badge took me 7 minutes and the medium badge took me 35 minutes when I earned them in 2021. Very reasonable times.

BOTD: pick very easy + american, you will need the money,
Buy as many peasants as possible, then swordsmen to save peasants then buy the church to farm faith, then town hall to increase max peasants then stable+cowshed to slowly increase food availability, then prioritise the army to avoid having to use peasants in fights
"Convince enemy militia to join your side" is a good pick, since surviving militia will become peasants, or stay militia until there's space for more peasants
The poachers offer is pretty good, the chicken devil is not worth it
Well, this guide might need some slight adjustments, but that's how I won

I couldn't complete the easy badge in this game every time it shows in badge of the day. Now I have to deal with the medium difficulty. Sure thing!!!

I got the Safeguarding Sovereignty Badge over 2 years ago in 35 minutes. I don't know how I did it besides choosing the easiest difficulty.

Came here for daily achievement. Just keeps saying disconnected from server and not recognizing the achievement. 3x in a row it ate my whole game. No Save. No refresh helps. Guess I won't get this one.

Such a GREAT game.... as long as you only plan to live to see year 34. The insanity of the difficulty on VERY EASY is just too much RNG. I'm often struggling to find what to buy because I'm stomping everything, and then year 34 comes and I run into 300 spartans. This has happened multiple times, I think your code logic is a little off, ESPECIALLY in relation to difficulty.

Why is the easiest difficulty so hard? I can't seem to find any combination that takes me past the enemy discovering swordsmen.

This is by no means a bad game, but making a heavily RNG-dependent BotD can lead to a lot of frustration. An excellent run can easily be killed by a single bad RNG roll on the enemy army. The other badge would have been a great BotD though. The tips provided in previous comments did help and get me a victory after five or so attempts, helped by the absence of enemy minotaurs.

@AlteraX : No, because each attempt is a single run that doesn't save.
I'm not sure why down-voting is even allowed to hide comments when ppl are doing so to simply get rid of negative criticism of games they are fans of but are still valid comments.

This is a cool game. Tip: take the help from the poachers, you don't really have to do anything for them from what i can tell. There were quite a few battles that i didn't have to fight at all because the poachers killed my one enemy and sometimes they'll get the most dangerous one on the field.

they don't mention it at all, but in the invasion of zombie chickens, at year 25, anywhere between 80-200 chickens will spawn, while the previous one is around 15-25. massive jump, you will definitely want to use a scroll on that year

My entire army died halfway through, didn't even have any peasants left, I thought it was over but then the hydra I picked up scouting literally solo'd the entire rest of the game. 10/10

If someone still doesn't know, zombie chicken invasion happens every 5 years, when you play the special game named Invasion of the zombie chickens.

My only critique is the unbalanced Chicken Devils, which on the special attack of the chickens are impossible to defend against 24 chicken devils on round 45
