The # of minutes to adjust my schedule looks to be off by a factor of x10. Like reducing by 1 minute reduces by 10 minutes, 5 is actually 50, etc
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Sorry, I forgot it's 1000, but there's still been times when I'd like to be able to enable/disable, when $50 is a margin that's important
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Right, you might not have enough time to do chores yourself, but why can I not turn off my own assistant? I'd rather pay $100 for 5hrs than $50 for 1hr.

This game, for good and for bad, reflects real life on first playthrough. "Why am I slaving at this dumb job to just work at Google" "Hey this is awesome" "Please let me die"

Once you have some laser power and can loop (I think I figured out that loop does reset max level, but it does speed things up), what's there to do then? Should I get laser up a certain amount and then that unlocks the next thing?
There is not much content beyond that point, except for killing aliens and completing achievements. Some people like to loop trap many times, but waiting for updates and new content is also a good option at that point.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the loop trap thing resets the =groundhog boosts=, but gives permanent *loop trap boost*, which is stackable with =groundhog boosts= of later loops. so next loop will be faster.
the higher your =groundhog boost= was in this loop, the higher the *loop trap boost* gain will be. and the *loop trap boosts* from successive loops do add up.
the *loop trap boost* is mainly dependend on =groundhog boost= of this loop and amount of aliens destroyed. so try to destroy as many aliens as possible before using the loop trap.
most important skills to boost are study skills, meditation, leadership, programming, lasergun. try to get study skills, meditation and leadership to at least 1k and programming and lasergun to 1.5k-2k before going into next loop. most important jobs are yugle, especialy CEO.

arghh. just finished the communicate in one life achievement on itch and then discover this reworked groudhog life on kong!

I really like this game so far, I have 1 major question. When I use the loop, I lose everything except achievements. All of my levels and max levels are 0. I thought loop was supposed to keep my max levels the same as a reset and my current level to be like 0.03. As in, I had 1k current programming, after loop it goes to 0 as does my max level. So it really feels like it's a complete reset with no benefit and is actually worse than doing 'groundhog' reset. Am I doing something wrong or is this slightly broken?
The loop trap gives you a permanent speed multiplier. It's the only way to reach higher levels. Edit: you can see the influence of the multiplier when clicking on its xp/h stat (not xp/day).

i bought the shady pills and ended up in the negative "You have -418 Tachyons." i think it might have purchased twice

"You went bankrupt! Your expenses were automatically reduced, and work hours increased.
Your assistants were fired, and you moved back to your parents.
Take care of your finances!"
I'm 102 years old and have to move back in with my parents. I'm surprised they're still alive, otherwise, who am I paying rent to?
Like you, your parents don't die, they just lose energy. Also, they are stuck in a time loop as well, desperately trying to improve their parenting skills (which are obviously lacking).

There should be a millenial version where burger flipper requires being less than 18 years of age and junior developer requires level 5 of software developer.

oh, and to Izzy824, you need to have days saved up either from pausing buying with tachyons or from time offline in order for fast forward to work, then it does make time pass ~2x faster until they run out...but are pretty much useless when you hit the time fluctuations at the effective end of a game cycle

suggestions for lust and pride: pride = have all 3 paths leveled up to the CEO tier in the same life, lust = unlock all assistants AND have them all hired at the same time

The scale for adjusting time broke for me some hours in. Changed so that 1m = 10m, 60m = 600m, etc. Refreshing fixed it, though.
There's a shift-click shortcut for changing the schedule quicker. Sometimes it acts weird and things like this happen. Pressing shift a few times should resolve it.

No instructions - I have absolutely no idea how to play this game, there's too many different unexplained functions right from the start. When I first started I was extremely confused because I thought it started me out mid-game; this was not the case. That is just how it starts. Even the 'about' button doesn't actually tell me about the game, it's just the copyright information. As I can't play a game I don't know how to play I'll unfortunately have to rate this 1* and move on.

One exception to the rule about always stacking your bonuses: the first bonus refreshes ever 2 years, then the next ones are 3, 4 and 5 years. So you can fire all of them at once, then wait 2 years and fire just the first bonus for a little extra boost, then wait until everything is refreshed and fire all at once.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A few tips: 1. Always stack your bonuses at the same time - this gives much more boost than if you just fire them off one at a time. 2. Because bonus stacking is so powerful, it really is important to unlock at least the first three bonuses fast. 3. Programmer job track pays way more than the other two. 4. Health gives a huge benefit to productivity. Get programmer track as fast as possible and switch to Yugle campus food - this will typically triple your energy, which triples your research and job XP. 5. Later in the game it doesn't seem possible to "win" without using the Loop Trap. I grinded it out for a while and finally gave in. The subsequent resets go much faster.

On his tombstone it was written: 15th reincarnation of the famous Burger flipper, somewhat underperforming CEO of Yugle, who still lived in his mothers basement, and truly sucked in GTD.

@RjC, once you earn multipliers they are kept forever (until you use the Loop Trap). So one life you can focus on boosting a couple skills if you want and you keep the benefit in later lives.

oh even if i get 0 levels in this run in almost everything once a new one starts do i get to keep the bonuses from when i had 70 in programming cause im a bit confused atm

The fast forward button is a little odd. I feel like it isn't fast forwarding when I click it. It might just be me though. I do really love the game, haven't put it down.

in the 2nd run at age 49 i hired the full time servant and using all the time in researching quantum for setting up next run lol is this stupid or meh
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Wolfric83 you reset at age 60, what you really want to be aiming for is getting research and jobs at high level, this provides a boost for following runs

on my first run, I have managed to bankrupt myself, and get my cash on hand to be in the negative millions by clicking multiple times on molecular cooking crew. at this point the only options i appear to have to progress are wait until whenever it is that i die(?) or do a hard reset

A couple things I would consider adding:
1) more random events and maybe random rewards from those events so its not always getting $10 or candy from the grandma event.
2) more achievements, so that every job and research has milestone achievements. Fleshing out the Paths with a bunch more milestones would be great!
3) Make boosts into money sinks and increase the amount of them.. You could have a few different types of caffeine boosts..
Caffeine Boost = Copious Caffeine $5/day X days
Caffeine Boost 2 = Nootropic Caffeine Stack Newb $10/day X days
Caffeine Boost 3 = Nootropic Caffeine Stack Pro $50/day for X days
ETC, ETC

This game causes severe lag, not in any way helped by the idle days feature, which causes the lag to build up more and more, until the clock is actually increasing faster than decreasing, ultimately leading my browser to shut off. Instead of forcing me to click the Just let me Play! button (which just means more commands > more lag), maybe you could just go on ahead and add these to my fast-forward years, or give me an option to disable them. It's nearly impossible to play, and writing this comment has been a struggle, even with the game on pause because of this lag.
Hi! Sorry for slowing down, it's not expected. The scenario you describe occurs when your system is not able to run the game fast enough (could be because of a bug in the game, or other stuff running at the same time, ...). In any case, it should behave more graceful in such scenarios.

On the bottom of the left sidebar, clicking # of Boosts ready takes you to the boosts menu and clicking on current Job Title/Level takes you to the Jobs menu, but clicking on current Research/Level does not take you to the Lab tab. It would be handy if it did.

I think you should make more money when you get a promotion than the job before it at the level required to attain that promotion. It makes no sense that you'd lose money for doing a job that has a higher pay grade.
Completely agree that it is unrealistic, and it does slightly annoy me. However, making it realistic would either upset balance -- income increases too fast -- or make leveling up a job very unrewarding (very little pay increase while having the same job). So I haven't found a better solution.

Recommendation: A way to use money. For example I have $2mil and it's just growing with no way to spend it. Maybe some type of very small boosts?
