Under rating threshold (show) I have now "retired" 13 times and have bought the minimalist and auto-boost upgrades, and my advice for new players who lean toward idling is to play through actively once and then let the game run through at least a dozen lifetimes or so without touching it (except for doing the hedgehog thing every 75 min or so). This is because (as of this writing) at the beginning the difference in tachyon income per lifetime between full idle mode and full active mode is only about 15%, so it is less frustrating to an idle player (at least to this player) to have to spend basically the same time waiting for the idle tools whether I am passive or active, and it is a much more casual game when you can focus on character development rather than having to micro-manage every piece.

Under rating threshold (show) More events would be cool, also like buying and furnishing your housing would be a cool option for other sort of passive happiness increases. Not to mention more job options and skills would increase the interest in playing over and over again.

Under rating threshold (show) It would be nice if you added something like interests or maybe sports - some sports every day would make the person more healthy and happier, and then if he/she did enough sports, he/she could compete in tournaments and earn money that way. In general, if you need ideas, just play some Sims - there's a lot of stuff in there that you could use. :)

Under rating threshold (show) Pretty cool game until you've reset a few times and unlocked all of the content. But after that, you're just doing the same thing over and over, and for what reason? Add more to the story, give the player an ultimate goal to work towards, and give the player a couple of different paths that he can take for replayability. This is a pretty decent start to a game, but it feels to unifinished to be called a game.

Under rating threshold (show) Part 2: Yes, third Groundhog will help with that with the Minimalism upgrade, but for those of us in our second we're just kinda screwed. Stuck with Yugle because Dark Plateau doesn't pay enough to be competitive. My suggestion is to increase the pay of Dark Plateau, and as rulezz said, put in some more random events. I know you're working on it (Pride and Lust TBD tells me that much itself,) but it was a good suggestion worth repeating. I will however make an alteration to that suggestion, make them timed. Appear between a certain year and day and disappear after X amount of days have passed. More incentive to be an active player that way. (P.S. I also have a suggestion for Kongregate. Perhaps you could put in a character counter for us so we don't have to guess at the length of our post?)

Under rating threshold (show) Part 1: Alright, I'm going to start by saying this is a brilliant premise for a game. The execution isn't the greatest, HOWEVER! You are listening to people, you are implementing changes and making fixes. For that I commend you, and would also like to possibly take advantage of that by running a thought past you. I JUST got to the point where I could unlock the Dark Plateau. You nerfed Yugle, and that's perfectly fine but I wouldn't nerf it again. The problem I'm running into, is that it takes so long just to get into the Dark Plateau that I'm already requiring more expensive homes and such by the time I get to it.

Under rating threshold (show) I like that the limiting factor here is time. I would like to see money have a bit of an expanded role but I really think you should keep the key resource time as the name suggests. Also more options as to what to do with your time could be kinda cool. Perhaps adding a gambling mechanic somewhere to add some risk and excitement with cash and time, with rewards being more than just cash, such as research more time, accelerated time, or some other kind of buff or even a nerf. Another cool addition would be a collection of minigames to reward active play in some way. I think there should also be a much larger market place as well as many more achievements to acquire those upgrades. So far I really like what you've made and think this could eventually grow to be one of the huge ones out there such as adventure capitalist if some more content is added.

Under rating threshold (show) What this really needs is more storyline. Once you start transcending a bunch of times, yes you get to higher waves but there isn't any change. I mean the aliens could contact you saying what you are doing is futile. With 1000 levels in CEO you convince them to build a second laser. With 1000 levels of quantum mechanics you can figure out some metascience to make the lasers better. Things you wouldn't necessarily even try to do....

Under rating threshold (show) Interesting concept and idea. Can we have a bit more varieties for events? As it is using time loop concept, series of events with minor plot line that requires a player to already experience primary story line / already learned certain facts/experienced events by making certain choices, to proceed to next level stage of events?

Under rating threshold (show) What tool did you use to make the game? I've seen a lot of other games with similar GUI and thought I'd try it myself. As for the game, interesting concept. One of the more interesting idle games i've seen. It also doesn't lag and has an understandable GUI which puts it above other many other idle games, and that's before I've even ascended. Looking forward to see what features appear.

Under rating threshold (show) It doesn't really make sense to be able to move back to your parents basement at the age of 53. Perhaps there should be an age range where an event pops up saying your parents have unfortunately died and you can no longer live in their basement. I know this is nitpicky but it would help with realism.
