Description
This game was made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 35.
---
You see a strange light. Your wife begs you to stay, but you feel like it's not up to you.
Explore a strange world while mastering your shapeshifting capabilities. Unlock a multitude of shapes and discover their strengths and weaknesses. If you are determined, master your size. Become as small as a mouse to be able to crawl through narrow passageways, or grow titanic to become invulnerable. As you encounter challenging puzzles, various foes waylay your path.
Will you learn the truth about this place? Will you become the master of your form?

This game was made for Ludum Dare 35 - Shapeshifting by myself with help from a friend by the name of Amir Hayek.
I drew inspiration from the X-Men villain Apocalypse. Game inspirations include Gameboy games and Don't Look Back by Terry Cavanagh.
Tools used:
HaxeFlixel, paint.net, sfxr, OGMO editor, Yal's Chiptune Pack 2.

This game is quite hard, but not for the best reasons. Even early on, going through long lead ups and re-defeating enemies before a hard jump really hurts enjoyment. This could be solve d by adding many more checkpoints. I'm still early on, but I do not like disappearing platforms before ceiling lasers. Land, transform, and drive between shots before the ground gives, since yo can't jump on wheels? It's a little much.
Love the concept, so I'm trying to forge onward.

I beat it. I have to say though, it wasn't terribly fun for some of the reasons given below. Having to transform quickly on the disappearing platforms did feel artificially difficult, but my bigger complaint was the lack of use for most of the upgrades. The cannon is useless since there are maybe half a dozen enemies, and the extending arms came into use literally once. Flying was kind of nice, but it being at the very end of the game made it pointless. The only ones I really felt like I needed were the wheel (to go faster) and the size change (since you made max size invincible). And the story seemed interesting, but we only get a short screen of dialogue. At the end. Overall, 2/5.
