Average tower defense game. The worst part is that you can "lose" a tower under the trees on the board. Other than that, nothing new, nothing special.

Is the 'troops remaining' meter glitched or is that supposed to represent some sort of sneak attack at the end of every single level, when the thing goes negative?

This is such a spectacular blend of piss poor programming and good ideas. The math concerning prices and your amount of cash randomizes numbers constantly and does not cohere to numbers given even. Also, why the hell is your troops immobilised for 5secs at the start of each round? That more or less solidifies you taking 3-10 damage. I can completely understand a delay being given for future "tower" when the round has bagun, but giving you all that unavoidable damage each round beause your initial towers are delayed is just wrong.

As said before: Entrenchment occupation does take too much time, claymores didn't exist. I miss specials such as: artillery support, air-support. Also, the battles that did take place are about conquest, not defense, so instead you should be the Japanese commander fighting off Americans/ANZAC troops. 3/5 for initial effort and gameplay.

you shuld make it so you cant move the upgrade points around. all you do if max out the best guy for that lvl and spam him. to eazy

If ya having problems, just resert your upgrade points and bet on a single turret or two... Like i had problems in some levels, now rifle man kills everything at max :p

The build time for each foxhole increases with the power of the foxhole... build some cheaper rifle & grenade towers to cover for you while the machine-guns are building.

Okay. Maybe I'm a perfectionist. Maybe I'm just 'old school.' But I do try to complete levels loosing no lives oir as few as possible. The fifth time guys got to the end before ANY of my guys came out of their fox holes was enough. It is now happening on literaly every level. It's not utre. It's not strategic, challenging or realistic. It's just bad game building. This is otherwise not bad at all. But it's gonna cost stars from me till it's fixed.

I figured the fun of the claymores out-weighs historical accuracy :) They didn't have RPGs either although they did have a really ugly rifle-launched mine which is sort of equivalent.
The paths normally diverge or converge from a couple of choke points. Cover those and then build really quickly when you see where things are headed.
Oh, and don't use fast forwards the first time through a level or you can't react quickly enough.

What I mean is that you don't know exactly where things are going to go....you can't tell that there's going to be a crapload of infantry flooding one path until it happens, multiple paths can be good....but in this case it's not...having to repeatedly die (on hard ofc) in order to see what's going to happen on certain waves in order to place your towers effectively isn't fun.

Multiple paths make the game much more interesting and strategic than just trying to defend one path. It is NOT impossible to plan ahead, you just need to use your head a little more.
Awesome game with good learning curve.

dannyboy why would you say it is immpossible to plan ahead at the start of every level you know exactly were the tanks are going and where the infantry is going very easy to plan ahead. Great game 5/5 Just beat medium going to try hard now

perfect way for a younger brothers to sabotage a game: record strange noises insted of the real sounds opps... on here the rpgs aready done.lol 3/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Multiple paths make it impossible to plan without having first died on that level;TD games are entirely based on planning. On predictable enemies...very poor all round...nice as the graphics and sounds are, the game itself...is crap.

I see a couple of complaints about selecting towers - the map is a grid and each tower is 2x2 grid squares. To select a tower hover the top-right quarter of it... sorry if that's awkward, these are the first complaints :(
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
awkward to play, selecting towers to upgrade them is difficult, and the delay between clicking something and being able to click anything else is annoying. You really need to get things like that working BEFORE fancy graphics.

I recoomend:
only play on Easy if you have never played Tower Defense games before... it is _very easy_ compared with most Defense games. Play on Medium for a fair challenge, or Hard for some hard-core fun!
If you _are_ new to the genre, welcome aboard :)
