For the developer: To overcome the problem that Polored mentions, you could add a Practice option to each level, which lets you play it without the music, but you would still have to beat the level with music to move forward to the next level.

It took me until level 3-3 to realize you hated the players of your game, then 3-4 put it in concrete. Can't wait until I see 3-x to see how much you loathe us. :D

I really wish it would say if I clicked too early or to late when I mess up as sometimes I really think I clicked on time and have no idea how I messed up

That was pretty well put together, I didn't expect another one-button game to be so engaging.
It did seem SLIGHTLY too short though, like there should have been a 4th part for the finale, but that's just my own feeling.

A great improvement would be a more lenient hit detection; detecting a hit every time a key is pressed would be a great start.

I find it really annoying when I hit the note on the square and it just skips over it. Is there a way to re-calibrate once you change it rather than + and -

I was up to 1.4x when I left, and now I'm back down to 1x. I really, *really* do not want to have to get back up to the last multiplier I was at every time I stop playing for a bit.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Last level is great but why in the world do you need a speed multiplier?!? (I'm up to 1.2x) You, Dev, are one evil man :)!

before my mind gets too desolated by 3-X to type a comment, I'll just say this is some addictive, fulfilling, and original (I hope) game!
There's a potential for a multiplayer mode, a.k.a. a whole franchise ;)
For that purpose you probably to eliminate insta-death. Maybe when you screw up, your dots skip a few tiles ahead with some recovery time; that way, you're still in sync with the music but you lose points based on the number of times you screw up. There are other ways to make MP work but can't think of one where it'll look like a race while still having the music sync for all players.
As far as this version goes I'm not finding too much of a problem besides the difficulty of just the last 20% of this level I need to finish to get the freaking badge. That long stretch in 2-X with the doubled drum beats is from the devil, but it's passable.

So I finally managed to beat wind up (1x) and (1.1x). Does this song keep on going forever until it goes to fast to beat or is there an actual end?

As everyone is saying, i think there should be an option to disable all those flashing colors, my vision gets tired really easily and forces me to blink, which causes me to lose, and i dont think im the only one with this problem. Anyway, great concept, great game!

ok, common~~~ i know i can beat 1-x... common~~!!~~ FOR THE LOVE OF...... ok ok, im good. i know i can stop any time. i can stop any time. i can! i....i.... i CANT! darn you FIZZD! why must it be so addictive!!

I have no idea how to play this game. You press a button along with the bass beats, the instruments, the clapping, when?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@goathem ... You DID do the auto-calibration at the very beginning so you could be perfectly on-beat, right? My advice... recalibrate and close your eyes. Dit dit dit dit dit dit... Etc.
Thanks! I've decided i should take out the auto-calibration completely for the desktop version I think, cause it relies on people being good at calibrating for the entire game to work. My other game Rhythm Doctor just used some default settings I experimented with for Mac and Windows, and that seemed to work fine.

As always, musical games are not calibrated with the music they play. You need to slightly anticipate to get the right sequence, leading you to complete off rythm. I suggest playing the game without music.

With input into drumming systems, this type of rhythm playing could be used in drum training, or just general rhythm practice for band or choral practice.

Badly written unity code, you've got garbage collection pauses: makes games like this unplayable (die because Unity paused). Gave up. Re-write it to have zero temp objects, please!

This take sight-reading to a different level, currently stuck on 2-X, and I remember how much I hate offbeats >.< (78%)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Game requires way too much concentration for what should essentially be something to be played on auto-pilot. The only thing causing that is the forced restart after a mistake. Saw the developer saying that this is the point and 'the song is the reward'. Well, in that case, keep your song, if the artist turns out to be the next Mozart I'm sure I'll have the pleasure of hearing them in their entirety without the hassle of a seriously flawed game.

can i turn of the sound, its really annoying if you try a level too many times, i'm already feed up with 1-X, so i won't continiue, i agree with poloreds comments, it would allow a easier learning effect than to try over and over again from the beginning, and as soon as you manage one tricky part after 5 tries you fail at the next one because you were not able to get there so far, that really sucks

Indeed a good question I have found in the comments: what is this menu that appears when one presses Q, W and E at the same time? O.o
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game has a really weird issue with simple rhythm-keeping. Is it the auto-calibration? Because I keep getting failed during the straight paths while hitting the button right with the beat. And I know I have rhythm; I got all perfects on Rhythm Heaven Fever.
#humblebrag
If you indeed have all perfects on RH then I believe you do have good rhythm :) i'd like to message you to find out the cause of the issue, cause for many people it works fine.
