Weapons like Power Ball, Water Balloon and Eggs, once you complete the challenges required for those, and have mastered them...you theoretically never have to use them again.
Ladder Spears do not make good weapons but I mastered it anyway. You can use it for fun if you wish when fighting.

beat the game. 3 challenges completed. 3 hidden treasures found. I can only imagine how long it would take to find all the treasures and complete all the challenges.

I think best strategy to get lots more enemies launched is to use the swinging weapons or thrusting weapons. I don't know if using guns are the best for it.

Those platforms on the 10th stage that disappear and reappear at regular intervals reminded me of the old MegaMan games... Ahh, memories. Not to mention that those homing rockets reminded me that I have a limited number of lives! OH JEEZ NOOO!

McCoy can't swim... Hmm... He's not a pirate, but does that mean he ate the CactiCacti Fruit? (inb4ragingonepiecefans)

I killed a guy with the carton of eggs... and then David Caruso came up the the corpse and said "The victim, who has a pistol in his hands appears to have been murdered by a breakfast food. You could say he... has got egg on his face.

I would regret not mentioning “Cactus McCoy” (parts 1 & 2) from Flipline Studios as some of my favorites (seeing as I have spent so much time on these two GREAT games). You not only are challenged to get the Kong achievements, but also can go for the in-game awards as well. Flipline is one of the best all around game makers on Kongregate in my opinion. Quality games. Thanks for hours of fun!!

Have not even started to play Cactus McCoy 2 yet and I am overjoyed. Cactus McCoy 1 was one of my favorites and I was blown away this morning to see C.M. 2 here on Kongregate... Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. Can't wait to get started on C.M. 2 now!!! Happy Gaming EV1. B.Z.

@dapolzin: use cherry bombs. Jump and throw one upwards. You can find cherry bombs in the crates just before the final fight.

Area 11 seemed like a difficult time challenge, but I ended up getting 2:59 / 4:30. Don't bother restarting unless you make a huge mistake (like falling into the rapids in the wrong place).

Love the game-my wife, not so much. But I cannot figure out how to get the last clown on the train-found him, just can't blow up the barrier. Any help? 5/5

5/5, Serpent Blade was a wonderful treat, if only to try it once on Malana Mire. The game is awesome, difficulty perfectly set, challenges are sometimes hard but don't get frustrating. As suggested by somebody else, mastering weapons could give different benefits. Why would I want the Ladder Spear to do more damage? I would rather have it be more durable! Also, mastering a group of weapons could give access to a new one of the same group.
On the critical side: this is the first game I play in which ending has worse drawing than the game itself.
The game is simple which is good to start with, then exploring it can lead to a very amusing playing, and if you like it it's playable for a long time.

Ojr2: There are swinging spiked balls that are part of the stage. I assume you need to carry a parrot cage and drop it in the path of one of the balls.

gotta say, a little disappointed with this game. it's not really a sequel so much as an extra level pack for the first one. don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved the original, and I played it to death, but as a result this one felt old as soon as I started playing. seriously, even some new bgm would have made this a 5, but I just can't. 4/5

DEFINITELY upgrade all the weapons. You earn the Serpent Blade which pretty much destroys anything in a swipe and is super-durable. Should make completing all challenges much easier.
To upgrade weapons the quickest, DO NOT juggle. Just go for quick kills.

Really good game, have everything what arcade platformer should have: differents enemys, backround, good lev design with secrets and challenges, few bosses and of course lots of wepons with can be upgraded and skills to them. Choosing default wepon is nice after discover it. I specially like tchrowing exploding things, they are rather cheap and can fast kill(usefull in speed challanges)and destroy blocks for example fuse bomb. I want more games like this maybe part 3?

Great game! For the sequel, I'd love to see the weapon mastering do something a bit more varied to make grinding for that last badge a bit more entertaining. :)
Eggs - Upgraded to 2 dozen! Bottles - now filled with flaming bourbon! Gatling Gun - more ammo! TNT - bigger blasts! Rattlesnake - venom! Water Balloons - now in the shape of cute animals! And so on.
5/5

@JackAce on the left side there is a gap in the wall where you can shoot some TNT barrels which drops a crate to the bottom of the elevator shaft. jump on it.
