Love the game, despite it needing some tweaking for playability for some of us gamers who are a little older and less coordinated

I had very much fun playing it. Is there a real ending? Seems that i can`t close one last mission (the "Wanted!" mission for the merchands) Or is it an endless one?

Hi, the "better" ships are impossible to beat in combat. I can't hit them, I can't dodge them, and am basically running in circles for about half an hour until they finally grind me down, and this is with a maxed out ship. Better weapons do no good because the ship overheats too quickly and doesn't dissipate by the time I get behind the enemy again. I would suggest two things for game balance. 1)Either slowing down the enemies or let the player buy "targetting computers" that will make a wider area score as a "hit"" on a fighter. 2)Lower heat rates and cooling rates or add a purchase of "Heat Sinks" that would be able to be installed on ships to make it so. As it is, I cannot even hope to finish the game.

I love it. Everybody loves the average 'time-waster' games such as 'DopeWars' and 'SpaceTrader'... this game takes the principles of those and gives them a GREAT storyline, turning addictive time waster games into a terrific RPG/Upgrade game. I love it!!!

@jestingrabbit 5 clicks is less than a second, so it will make a little difference. I was talking about fighting not being interesting.:)

This game has a bunch of truly amazing concepts, like the light/darkness progress, but it simply lacks the features. For example, there are only three classes of ships(and parts), and after you get great speed ONLY the cruisers can be a threat to you at all, and cruisers can be found in a very few missions.
90% of lategame combat is:
1.Wait for shots to pass by if you are being attacked.
2. Get 5 shots at the enemy ship.
3. Watch it explode.
Nevetheless, this is already amazing for a flashgame in beta, so thank you for the work. I hope it will get even better with the updates.

hm autsave says that it cannot save the game 'cos it's maybe running in an other window !? Any idea? Win7/64 waterfox
it seems we have issues with the balance endgame. This is high on our priority list, right below load/save issues and next to combat... thank you for your feedback.

I played for a short while, didn't actively click save, then my browser crashed and when I started the game up again, it started up a new game. So I had to start over, I played for a few hours, gained a lot of progress, saved often, then I closed my computer down. Now I've just started it up again, and from what I can see I'm about as far as I reached on my first game...

...This game is amazing! However I'd like to suggest the idea of 'offline saving' if ever possible. For bad internet connections (which aren't fast either!), we have problems with the constant online-saving.

One thing I noticed is that it's entirely possible for you to wind up with 0 credits and 0 fuel just leaving you the option to reset the game.
While it's understandably due to some major miscalculations on my part, it's also a major buzzkill; it'd be pretty neat if we could reset to a given save or something along those lines instead of to the very beginning

What I really love in this game is that you have to make choices that will sometimes change the story line. So be careful when you click on stuff.

Great game, but I encountered a bug at the end of it:
I went to Bogotarh to face the champion. After I failed to evaded him once, then he evaded me, he started shooting at me.
And this is when the bug begins: His shooting "lines" were stuttering like crazy, going towards me again and again, so I was unable to escape.
Then, I lost, and the message saying that it's terrible and we should fall back and think of a better strategy appeared. Except when I click on the "abandon the mission" button below it, the box kept reappearing again and again.
Eventually I reloaded the page. Turned out I was on Bogotarh, I even managed to land on the planet, but I had lost all my cargo. And two other planets were now once again warring.
So I rushed to Inrilde to save it, fought a lvl2 ship, destroyed it. And then a message box of my robot said: "Congrats, you won ! Do whatever you want now !"
So now I feel a bit robbed, with the bug breaking the end boss x)

It would seem that the Tutorial is all in French, even though I, myself, am in English.
This would be a bug, correct?

I'm stuck on the Shroud Ritual objective after losing a fight to the pirates that stole the Shroud weapons. Is this not repeatable?

Under "Jettison Amount," there is a word in French. I am playing in English. Other than that, no bugs that I can see! Will you be adding more quadrants?

I seem to be stuck on part of the light story. I've been given an item to take to Kukani but nothing happened on any of the screens (like all the other missions so far). So I thought it might need to be sold there, I did so and recieved no warning about quest items so I can only assume that was the right thing to do absent any explicit instructions.
But nothing is happening. The mission is still uncompleted, and even dumping light goods on the planet to get it to 100% has no effect.
Wat do?

This is the first time an Admin (or mod, whichever you prefer) responds to my complaint.
I shall mark the day on my calendar.

I've reached the limit of the game, only trading left. I enjoyed playing thoroughly, it was such a pleasure to find this gem of a game.
I can't wait for you to add more contracts, twists or perhaps larger maps.
Also I think it's noteworthy to see the effort you put in to answer questions, remarks and other comments. Great to see Devs care after release.

Je vous remercie.

great game, some suggestions for latter patches/updates:
1. pirates should be of varied levels, not just level 1 and there should be some fights with a couple of enemies, not just 1 on 1
2. Cooling upgrades: make some chasis or living quarters that have cooling abilities. Balance them with slower speed or lower gas capacity.
3. some war-specific resources, such as attack bots or defensive turrets that can be sold to planets. Or special weapons for light / dark such as plague bombs or spiritual guides.
4. More planets and special quest, of course!

What do you do with the cube in order to stay Balance? I want to continue on in the story, but I don't want anyone to win. If a side wins, how will I exploit this conflict to MY advantage :D

OK, in the lategame it becomes to simple when u have investes around 500k of starcoins, at least when u attack a planet there should sometimes another ship attack you from behind, i mean u attack a planet and there is only 1 enemy while u are always start behind them and finish them of in 2 seconds?

The game is good and fun. Didn't had any problems regarding bugs or loading. I just wonder how to change alingment of asteroids so they would stop being pirate shelters.

Meh, this game looks good, but I can't deal with the long "click here, click here, click here, click here" tutorial. I'd like to play the game, not endlessly play whack-a-mole with "click me!" buttons like a mindless automaton.
Hello LordBucket,
Thank you for trying SR:G and for your feedback! We'll work on impriving tutorial in future versions, but are currently focused on making sure everyone can access the game and save properly. We still can't reproduce these issues locally, which doesn't help to fix them. We have released a patch that seems to improve the situation, and aim to solve it entirely. Then we'll move to improving content, a better tutorial is on the list :)

Eh there's some significant problems with this game. For one thing the ship equipping generally feels like there's little to no choice at all. Even the kinetic/laser thing isn't really a choice. The only choice is waht you want your ship to look like, and even then, it's only if there's multiple options that are the same (when you encounter something better, you're generally forced to switch to it instead due to better stats).
Secondly, the combat feels bland and/or tedious to me, although it's not too bad.
Lastly, it feels like there's almost no control over the game. Maybe it's supposed to be like that, but I tried saving and reloading multiple times when my Balance planet was under attack, but as soon as I participate in a fight and leave, it just gets taken over immediately after, and without warning.
Also, what's with the pirates who ask 5 questions but all 3 answers are wrong on the last question? Do I need to leave, check, then return?
Hi mshojat, thank you for trying SR:G and providing feedback. We plan to rework the combat system and try and bring more game depth to it, when all save/load issues are fixed. This will include tuning weapons and all ship equipment stats. We'll investigate the balance victory issues several players have. On the 5 questions quest: there is no right answer to the 5th question, you have to fight and beat the pirate boss. Sorry for the inconvenience and the fixing delay.

Hi guys. Is it a bug? I played as a ballance and my home planet was attacked. I've destroyed enemy ship but the planet was still under attack slowly converting to light, and I could'nt do anything with it. I tried to fly to the nearest asteroind and back... and loose a game. Can you fix that?
Hello VladyslavG, thanks for playing and for your feedback. Yes we'll definitely fix this, it's high priority, just below save/load issues. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Sir_Gregor we're sorry for the inconvenience, especially since we hoped it was fixed by the last patch. We'll contact you via pm if that's ok with you, to gather more info. Fixing this is our current priority.

For those of you who need a refeesher your cursor goes in the OPPOSITE direction (180 degrees) away from the ship circle towards the outer circle. Once you're behind your target your cursor then goes towards them enemy ship lining up the shot.

Great melange of caravan trading games and atmosphere space games. It's a well made game all over – except for that part when you're flying 'round in the galaxys most powerfull ship and feel like taking over the universe but just can't get across the borders of your map...
Encountered a small bug: When you have that pointy lvl 3 cockpit and the long, slim lvl 3 live quarters, the tip of the cockpit gets cut off in flight animations- though it works in the dock. Spoils the feeling of a very well fitted spaceship build.

Playing on the neutral path, slaughtering dozens upon dozens of ships without end... So, uh, just when is that peace treaty coming? Unless by "peace treaty" you meant "nuke both their planets by the power of capitalism and turn them neutral by force"...?
Hello Helena_M, thank you for playing StarRunner:Genesis and sorry for the inconvenience. It seems we have a tuning issue on the "balance victory", we'll look into as soon as all save/load issue are fixed, it's high on our prio list.

Decent game, but would really like options to disable the animations. I was over the travel animation after the first time. And when I need to fill up before traveling, I have to confirm I want to fill up and then additionally confirm that I still want to travel. At least there is a quick landing, but I'd rather not even have the notion of having to land. I started to feel like more of my time was being spent on the mechanics of how things are done than deciding where to go next, what to buy, etc.
Hello Prometheus720, leveling up unlocks some of the quests. We plan to add other benefits from it in future versions, like ship equipments reserved for high level.

The aesthetic and play of this reminds me of a whole lot of different games: the obvious like Elite, and Escape Velocity, but bizarrely it really strongly reminds me of a game that briefly existed on gaiaonline involving zepplins and a moose.
