Now time for the good stuff. The genre. I love the genre because I grew up on arcade style fighting games and love them to death. If i seriously get the chance I will buy a few old arcade games for my house! The second thing I love is the general design of the game, yes at points it gets repetitive, but that is kind of the point from my pov and i dont really mind it that much. The bosses are creative and have that old element of a puzzle+action combo I like though at times i swear at the screen for dying for the 50th time. This game has potential but needs some serious tweaking at some points. Still love it though 3.5/5

Being that if i am in the middle of a punch or combo i have to wait till the damn combo is over in order to use the block but if i wanted to barrel roll my ass out of the situation it happens instantly. The last sort of complaint is the powerups. I dont mind it really, but it is the distribution of powerups that kind of irks me here. I have access to 17 different moves that i cant use but (this is just for me) i really only use about 5 of them to be honest. I havent even bothered to but exp in some of the others because I find them useless in situations. The added part of this distribution is that there arent enough item/stat enhancers or the variety is kind of dim, but once again this is really just an opinion granted there are only four stats to really enhance here, but I also dont think I have utilized the item feature to its full potential there.

The next problem I find is the blocking mechanism. This is more towards how you are supposed to know when to do anything to block. This came really apparent with enemies that would throw/shoot things especially the robots, when you were fighting close range. Overtime for melee only enemies I started to develop the sense of when they would attack but it was really mostly reaction time and your reaction time better be on spot to get the just defended else your ass is on the ground. The other down side is that when something that does shoots, shoots at you, only a unknown percentage gets blocked. This really could go either way except when the first bullet isnt blocked in a chain of somewhere around six bullets. The last thing I have a problem with in relation to blocking is the response time. It takes way to long and it cant interrupt combos like other moves can.

I guess this will be my overall review of this game because I think something of this ilk really needs one, so lets start with the negatives: The first negative I think i need to point out is that the damage done by all of the enemies is the same from when you start to when you finish. This is sort of a problem for me because there is no dynamic relation to increase or decrease in level overtime except for possibly the number of enemies on screen. This was also really annoying because in like the first three levels i was dying relatively quickly and it took forever to get exp to get some sort of upgrade to really handle anybody for more than two minutes to get exp and advance along the level. With this in mind there is also no armor upgrade, though given the actual look of the character I am not really sure what that upgrade would look like. The closest thing is upgrade in the health bar which kinda helps but still gives you arbitrarily one more hit before you die.

Awesome game, reminded me of double dragon series. Not slow and no lag on my laptop. Agree that the author should warn that some of the upgrades are single use. One more thing the text in the story is painfully slow. Otherwise a very nice game. Congrats to author(s).

Not a "bad" game but.. i wouldnt compare it to devil may cry :S... thats like comparing a ferrari to a piece of crap run down car ..no competition or similarities other then the basis (eg; their a car) or in this case its a game. Doesn't come close to similar though -.-

its a very good game but the unresponsive controls decrease the quality i suggest you make some minor edits and fix the slow response controls

Would have loved to see customizable characters, a vs mode, or the ability to play as other characters. Overall a very good game though. Reminds me of Double Dragon. 4/5

haha, whenever i ran into a big dude, i just let the lil ones with the dynamite kill him, cuz the big dudes are stupid enough to stand on top of a lit stick of dynamite xD

I like the game its very fun, but...
On Black market, after the big guy fight... Knock one of the others guy out of the sight, waited like 10 mins, nothing happen. Wouldn't let me go foward or nothing.

Erm.........good game overall, minus the need to re buy upgrades so many times. And the...............confusing dialogue

Dont really see what is the big deal with the Fat Bob. I will be honest to you: I wasnt able to beat hin in the first try. Still, how hard can a boss that have to stop to catch his breath every secound strike be?

This is not comparable to Street Fighter or KOF at all.
This is more of a beat-'em-up instead of a deep fighting game.
Not that this is a bad thing, but your description mislead me into playing this game.

Game is really good, difficulty is a bit up high in the scale though. For the hardcore oldschool gamers this is easily a 5/5.

What else can you ask for from a flash game i rate this one 5/5 awesome graphics and game play. They should come up with a sequel, and for those who are complaining know this guys it aint easy putting so many things in online game. So appreciate the hard workings of the guys who made this one.

heres a combo for the blade arm : J+J+K+J+K+J+k try it it will be cool and replay the combo very fast while the enemy is in the air when he gets on floor jump and quickly switch to gun and press K to shoot the enemy while he is down with these combos its easy to beat anyone xD

Excellent concept, but EXTREMELY sluggish controls! Precision is definitely not something they are made for... perhaps you should implement "cancels" and faster response times.

Its great to see a scrolling beat'em up, there arn't enought of them made. The game looks great too! Although it doesn't seem to have the flow of traditional titles such as Steets of rage etc, its because the enemies are too tough, in the begining you should be able to put guys down with a small combo. Make the levels longer and add more cannon fodder, pick ups too. Also its a little sluggish.
Otherwise its fantastic, more please!

How to beat bosses:
Fat guy: Block his attacks until he gets tired and beat him up.
The robot clone of you: Block his combo and wait for the end of it.then quickly beat him up OR before he hits you with the combo jump over him and attack him from behind. REMEMBER! Fury punch skill is very important =)
Huge Robot:Try to go close to him and keep hitting him. but when you see his hands doing that double hand attack press the block INSTANTLY sometimes you will get just defenses by this way (you can also pellet him with some bullets from the gun,and i forgot to mention that you can actualy pellet all off the bosses above>_>) what happens when he shots you? well block and then do a dash so you roll out of the attack and go behind him
Bloodfox: at his first form all you do is to spam attack on him while you keep Back kicking his minion. I didnt figure out how to beat his second form. you must find that out alone=) (after i figure it out how to beat it i will write it down too)
