tardo999 after some practice the badge is actually quite easy, if you have practiced and think you know the game, maybe it is not the lack of skill but your army setup that is the fault, try some multiplayer and look at which type of army your opponents uses and try to copy that, but with your own toutch offcourse!

Tardo999 , this badge isn't impossible at all... After playing the multiplayer, having the badge is really easy... Keep on training ^^

very good game, but it would eb nice if you could skip your opponents turn and the second badge should be an impossible, its almost impossible just to get past lvl 6 without losing anyone.

fun game but make more better animation or something... ok i only like it cause of the multiplayer thingy 5/5 cause of multiplayer

The worst thing with this disconnect system is that you can get a defeat by default of your opponent quits on you when he has more points. For example when his mage has 12% health and has just attacked but are going to die during your next round.

I keep getting the following error message, anyone know a reason why?

Necksnapper,
Thanks for the post. My point was that just b/c someone has a lot of disconnects doesn't mean they are a quitter. If someone quits and the opponent is 10 points ahead, the opponent (who is 10pts ahead) gets a victory while the disconnecter (who may quit simply to save time b/c he knows he cant win) gets a disconnect penalty.

kthanzbai: it depends on the current score.
As for the problem of people abusing the disconnects, just skip the disconnects and give a loss to everybody disconnecting at any time, also at the start. And work out a new system for "win by default"/undecided, the points is just not a good measurement. points times %health would be better but maybe difficult to display the current standings that way (although it should not be).

Are all disconnects quitters? E.g., if someone is way ahead of me in a battle, I might just hit the quit button b/c I realize that I can't win and there is no need for them to spend five minutes trying to kill every last archer of mine. it's a waste of time. that way he gets a victory and I get, I assume, a disconnect penalty.
Is that right? or do I have it wrong.
Let me know.

use one mage, completely power up his lightning bolt, then three soldiers, give one of them some health upgrades, and two healers, one with heal buffs to heal the tank and another one for everyone else.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
follow chandman's suggestions and make a different room only for players with disconnect=0 in their score. not a solution but may help block quitters.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
My live score shows I have a disconnect. I do not.
Possible bug?
Is it possible to adjust my score to accurately reflect that I have NEVER disconnected?
Thx!

if there is a newer version of the game there needs to be a way to control the direction of the mage's chain reaction.

Looks and controls well, just movies EXTREMELY slowly. Would have liked an option to turn off animations, speed up enemy animations or simulate enemy rounds.

Ok guys, ppl have been doing this since the beginning, it's called Tactics "100" for a reason, because theres ONLY 100 points, if you decide to think of updates that change the basic principle that is implied within the name, make a new game.

I would like it better if the rules about upgrading/#of fighters were like this: Everyone starts with eight players. You can delete them and pick diffrent ones if you want. Points do not get added if you delete a fighter, nor do they get taken away if you add a fighter. You get 1-3 points when you win a person. You lose 1 point if you lose a person. Those points can be used to upgrade your fighters/healers.

The game should be for the online part, the amount of points u have should be the amount of points u have to upgrade, then this game wld be amazing and there would be 100's on it

Nobody play some jerkwad that calls himself poopsicle. He doesn't move and just makes asinine comments. Then he will disconnect before you have enough of an advantage to get the win. He/she ALWAYS does this.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I don't think it should be based on how many disconnects, but what percentage of your matches are disconnects. 3 disconnects means a whole lot more if you have a record of 5/2/3, than if it was 25/15/3.

After trying a few layouts, both balanced and extreme, I just beat it with 1 maxed out mage, one healer, and three strong knights. I had to replay nearly every round at least once, but I eventually prevailed. Here's my tips, 1 WAIT, let them come into the range of your Mage from on high, and then kick a**. 2. BAIT, expose the mage but keep him close to the balancer so he can take hits and she can fix them. 3. Flank - The Mage's first shot can be somewhat blocked by a knights shield, to prevent that, hit that knight first with another knight. Once a piece has been hit once in a round he doesn't seem to be able to block subsequent hits.
Waiting works, why? because movement towards a target weakens your delivered blow. I stayed put, my first turn, and let the mage hit on the second. EVERYTIME. Even though I gave up my first turn, I was almost always guaranteed a strong first strike.
do well with that. This game is LONG.

Is there anyway that, if a person quits, they get a disconnect and are replaced by a computer, meaning the other person continues playing and gets a win or lose, depending on how the game turns out?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There needs to be a concede button where you can concede victory to other side and end game but not have a disconnect penalty.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I updated it so all save games are lost again. Kong should really change that. Anyway I quickly hacked together two changes: 1) You only need a 10 pt difference to be the winner 2) The very last person you fought will be avoided. But if no one else is available in time you still may get them again. Hopefully my changes won't cause more bugs, let me know if you find something :P

Quit is broken. I was just quit on after the other person's turn; they had lead so got win, but I was going to crush them on my turn and easily win the game. QUITTERS SHOULD NOT GET THE VICTORY AND OTHER SIDE SHOULD NOT GET THE LOSS!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the disconnect penalty doesnt really work, someone left when my score was significantly lower than theres (even though i would have won next turn) and it said i was defeated and it showed them without the disconnect penalty and the extra points for the win

But the game is great, maybe the Maxed mage is too powerful, never seen a good army without that, but oterwise there are good armies without the 3-5 ranger and a maxed healer to company the mage, for example, some knights, sometimes no healer at all and many use 6 rangers and a weak healer.

Gamebrew: yes change it to 10 points!
But the major number of quits happen at the start (when there is no point difference nor disconnect penalty given). To stop that give disconnect penalty earlier too, that will stop people quitting! not at the start of round two but as soon as a player has decided to make one move.
But then the avoid rematches choise must work better, maybe completely avoid rematches with the very last person you met, because it happens quite often that you meet the same again since you start searching at the same time, although you have chosen to avoid, and in that case I understand that people quits.
