For those interested, the first badge in the second tier of the lower level career badges is 'won all maps with a rank of 10 or more' (ie: 5 starred them all). I assume the other badges in that tier have to do with accomplishments across all maps. Anyone know what they are?

Too long to complete it in other difficulty lvls after you beat one. It gets really repetitive after the first 10 battles. There also doesn't seem to be any reason to build anything but triple cannons, 5 of those at lvl 5 pretty much kill everything by themselves, even in the last lvl. Normal setup that works in any lvl pretty much looks like oilrig, thunderglobe (to mix things up), 4-5 tripleguns, a freezing ray if you feel fancy (doesn't really do much, since it won't get to fire even right at the screen edge, and dies really fast since it trades shots when it does). Hit 123 when there are more than 1 one the big ships, repeat.

Wish this game was shorter or that it was more customizable for your main cannon. It gets very repetitive quickly so being able to decide which type of cannon you want to replace your main flak cannon would be cool. Like you could upgrae to the tripple cannon, the rocket launcher, or the final upgrade which would be the Thunder Globe. All of your previousupgrades for speed/reload/damage would be scaled with your main gun. <thats all just something i though of while playing

heh, the thunder globe can actually do a lot of damage at level 5
each hit does about 800-1000 damage, a shot every second. a really hit DPS compared to all the other buildings other than your main flak

Got lucky with the first boss. I had a bunch of buildings, and seeming how he has a reload time, he isn't able to bomb everything. If he goes by you, he just comes out the left side again with weakened hp. Give that a try.

the secret is this.... get 5 stars in the first 5 levels, then the secret level appears, finish the secret level and u get the badge, still cant kill that boss...

I will sooner or later get this impossible badge but this game is way to repetitive and long I might have been fine with that but half way through the level you hit the exp cap what now I just repeat what I have been doing never getting any better. going to take a long time for me to beat this. But I spent over a year on Papas pancake so I will get it.

Looking back I have no idea why it took me so long to defeat the first boss but if you're as dopey as me; just make sure you have more than one type of weapon available

Autosave works on mine too, the only thing I can think of for those who don't, maybe you need to manually save a game first? Also, this is a very old game about 5 yrs old, so naturally it's not as polished as some of his newer games like Gemcraft Labyrinth! :D

@FrostPaladin: You can see your badges from the drop down tabs at the top and the cost of each gun is displayed in battle when you hover over the gun. Not ideal but it's there.

First boss seems to have a limited ammo capacity, he nuked the first 5 of my cannons, then stopped dropping bombs and came around for a second run with just 10% HP left, easy kill from there on

To be honest, I would classify the badge of the day to be hard, not because I can't get it, that isn't the problem, but the amount of time it takes to GET to that badge, and it is pretty difficult and involved a lot of grinding.

ok, not a bad game all in all, but i had a few problems with it. you should be able to see the prices of each building and support attack. also, you should be able to know just how much more damage your attacks will do after an upgrade and other such things in the same general area.

Poor game because of non-existant feedback as to how much each gun will cist, what badges you've been awarded etc. Frustrating and difficult to learn, though it had some potential 3/5

Rubbish. A grind and a half, unclear progression of skills, a 90 degree difficulty curve. Very very poor implementation of a fun concept. Also needs a soundtrack and a way to earn experience without beating a level.

Not sure what's up with your game but mine auto-saved for me quite a bit. Got the first hard badge on one level, damn that was expensive!

Maybe it's just me, but I feel you should be able to target/destroy the bombs the blimps are dropping. Seems only reasonable. I mean, if Missile Command can do it...

Also if you max your main turret skills after maxing the Balloon Blast Score Gain you should be able to beat levels 1 and 2 without spawning anything for a fairly high maximum score if you need a little boost.

Well this badge of the day and hard badge aren't exactly hard... they're just time consuming... Medium badge is really easy to earn... Just level up the 123 in game hot key skills. Then use them like crazy as the fire heats up. Also make the enemy ships worth more for killing. A few decoy/help turrets and you're set. (I used a slightly more balanced approach but those were the key elements that got me through the boss level)

The game overall isn't bad. It runs really smooth outside of when all of your specials are called at once. The game gets increasingly difficult even with upgrades which is a welcome sight to flash games. I would have to complain about the lack of a soundtrack. Just listening to the sounds of exploding AA shells can get rather boring. So perhaps a soundtrack to liven things up a bit would make the game more interesting. Other then that it is a great game for its style. 4/5 from me.

Captain: Ok but tell me this..... HOW THE HELL ARE THEY STILL UP!?!?! Those are balloons. Made of RUBBER How the hell are they not going down??
Balloon people: Im rubber your glue whatever you send to me. bounces off of me and goes boom.

Lack of autosave was a surprise. Really disappointed to come back and continue my game, to find nothing to continue. The need to hit save I guess would have been more obvious if you didn't need to mouse-over that tab to see it. Even though I wasn't terribly far in (5 or 6 missions) I completely lost interest in playing more after seeing progress lost.

Why are so many gameinabottle games like this, a good base concept ruined by a ridiculous game length. It's a flash game, I don't want twenty hours of extremely repetitive gameplay out of it.

It didn't autosave for me. I wasted so much time and was near the last boss level on elite difficulty and it did not save. FML.

One of the easiest hard badges. On the first boss level just reset your points and play through 3 times knocking each requirement out.

Destroyed the first boss after he dropped his payload but before it hit and killed me.... Nothing was alive when the level ended and thankfully I got a victory screen!

Impossible Badge!? So amazing... how hard is it to earn an impossible badge? I reckon it will be hard... but not impossible!
