100/5 mewreon, we aren't commenting about Sonny 2 (Which is a good game, anyway), we are commenting about Gemcraft Chapter 0, so please, save your idiotness of saying this game is bad (Which actually is one of the best) for another occasions. (Or even better, never use it, or only when deserved)

To unlock Beyond Corruption (the bottom notch) you must have the gem of eternity ... and beyond corruption gets harder every time you win ... so even level 1 gets stupidly hard when you have 48 waves to deal with xD

dont understand why people say this game is too long..
you really just need to finish each level once and some on a 3 x exp mode, and you will get to lv60..
which is enough to finish the game
there is an _option_ to continue and grind yourself though all the modes and collecting lost amulets, but you dont need to to finish the game.

Game completed at lvl 61. Extremely well made, a definitive 5/5 !
To beat the last map, you have to max (or lvl 8-9) all mana gain skills. Also increase the mana pool to around 10k. Create a chain of 10 mana gain traps at the beginning with a slow in the front. Use lvl 3 orange gems, use gem bomb to transform to them, and fill all the traps. this gives you insane mana, and you can easily destroy the seal w 7 lvl 7 gems before you get overrun.

10 modes for each level, 78 levels (6 of these are 'boss' levels), so that would be 726 games to win to beat all maps in all modes... That could be an impossible badge for pure endurance right there ;)

why is my savegame completely gone? it always saved progress perfectly. gemcraft used to be one of the games which did not have savegame problems. I did set storage space to unlimited to see if that might help. still quite crappy to lose all progress after running out of space? At least I think that's what happened

I find the skills very confusing and miss the high starter gems skill. Maybe it's just me, but chapter 0 is much harder than the other one.

the first version was a lot better, you really got improvements with your high-wizzard.
Now there's almost no difference with all skillpoints spent or not..
missing the "get some very high-starter-gems" skill, so you can really imrpove yourself and redo earlier levels for high scores.
right now, i do them once and got it, using all skills on the same lvl later again gains you ~ 100 exp...
if you do any gemcraft again, do it the style of the first game.

I don't care about badges. All I want is different sounds for different color/quality gems. 5/5 I love the game, but the sound is very monotonous.

badges badges badges badges badges !!! but turn off the loading by pasting for them, it would be unfair...
thanks for this great game^^

definitely better than the original, But just like the original it's mega long and mega easy, it's a good game but the only reason I could ever play it would be if there were a lot of hard badges on the way.
I don't know how these games get such good ratings on kongregate, they're definitely not the best and don't require any reasonable level of common sense
ppl plz...

I just have to ask... Are you serious? This game, has a wa-ay to high difficulty. Is it supposed to be fun to play, or is it supposed to make me yank my hair out in frustration?
You should seriously rethink this, and think back on the first gemcraft, because that game was pure awesomeness.

here are some general tips that really ought to facilliate gameplay...
1. focus on creating dual gems and improving dual gem mastery since they are by far superior to pure gems
2. focus on turbulence and resonance to further increase damage, as well as on forge for cheaper gems and replenish for more mana gain...
3. use gembombs on the "wave-slider" to anger creatures in order to gain more exp and mana...
furthermore, by angering early, easy waves, u can gain more mana to buy defense for the harder ones...
4. invest in flexible pool and increase mana pool alot during battles since this increases exp substantially...
if u follow these advice u ought to able to finish the game without too much grinding and at a fairly low lvl...

THE best game on Kongregate by far. This is FAR superior to the Original Gemcraft, however I think that Water Trenches deserved to be left in the game, with Traps being just another addition. Favorited, rated 5, and all the other good stuff so hopefully this gets badges soon.

This game is infinitely more complicated than the first GemCraft but not more fun. It's too focused on the grind, if you don't have hundreds of hours to spend you dont really get access to much of the game.

the best method ive used is to converser! use level 1 gems to fill up the towers already on the map. only buy mana pool, only buy more gems when enimies pass last tower or about to (on the first level i got level 4 gem.)

Heh. Isn't this a very favored game? AC(Adventure Club) Dosen't like this game very much though. Join my Resistance! Go to AC club and ask me =).
