Adding a low rank gem to a high one does increase it's stats, but if you think in terms of how long it takes that gem to be ready to fire, and how much mana you use on combining, it's not really all that cost effective.

to summon (or "anger") drop gem bombs onto stones with wave numbers on the left. If you drag but not release a gem over one of them while gem bombing skill is selected, you will receive an info of what the bombing will do.

How to roflstomp your way through to stage 78 (from around level 10): Get the 3x hit (yellow) and chain hit (lime) when possible, skills help. Also, have high initial mana. Create a pure lime 2 and a pure yellow 2 and combine them to make a dual lime-yellow 3. Place it in a tower somewhere monsters will pass, because this is the only tower needed. Create masses of level 1 gems and use transmute (gem bomb a row of gems) to make them either yellow or lime. Then combine these gems with the "super gem" over and over, until you win. Keep in mind you can get massive points and mana from the giants by using your anger. Also, any skill related to cost, damage, range, etc. for gems / dual gems is a plus. Lime and yellow are not madatory, but can do extra damage for high hp and clumps of enemies. At the end, I was typically sending around 4~5 waves at a time, easily.

If you would like to get the armor games skills only while playing on kong here is what you do. Start a game at armor games save it same with kong start a game and save. Now go to where all your saved games go mine were in my cookies. Find the folder with each saved game kong game will be in one and armor games will be in a different one. Once you have found them just switch them, then load up the game here and there you go + if you like this

"Linking my compass to the Gem, it appears I have to search North." - I'm sorry, but he MIGHT have wanted to double check on that, as all compasses point North.

I cannot even tell you how many times I've died because of this stupid gem configuration... How are we supposed to know which gems we're making in what slot??

On 6/7/09 I got the first badge. Two months later, with two levels to go, my computer crashed and had to be rebuilt and I had to start over again. I forgot about the game because I didn't want to have to do it all over again. Now on 6/5/2011, I finally achieved the hard badge!

vesper, I guess not even a video or two as proof won't change their minds about it? It makes me sad, I had to end it to make it look not like a hack... I was on wave 70 on the last map, with a 35k firepower. (no mouse recorder)

Reverse, it's easy to explain - Kongregate has a hard cap on most highscores preset by admins/mods, and they sometimes epicly fail at determining the cap. So your score will get deleted as well :(

Can anyone explain why everyone is terrible at this game? I came back after two months of Labyrinth and beat the highscore all time. Legit. They are going to delete it, but I could post a video as proof... People are paranoid...

The best way to go is maximizing dual gems and using nothing but dual gems in every level. Trust me, I suddenly started doing WAY better.

If you ask me, I would say the GemCraft series deserves to be #1 rather than Cursed Treasure. This game is unique, fun, & challenging. Cursed Treasure, well, its just another TD game to me.

I just played 45 levels without knowing that I could destroy the infested buildings with gem bombs and make levels easier, and now I am saying this just to warn those who start playing.
But probably I will have to replay older levels without destroying them, to get more experience later.

It would be hilarious if she never really magically-imbued her compass to point to the Super-Gem. It was just naturally points north! It's like she gets there:
You: I am searching for the Gem of Power, do you have it in this Arcane Vault?
Guy: No sorry, this is just a McDonalds. Turns out that we really are everywhere. Can I take your order?

Hmm... what I noticed: Dual-gems are generally stronger in strength and faster than pure gems, yet their ability is weaker. While pure gems have better abilities, yet are weaker in strength and are slower. To have a winning strategy, you have to have dual-gems and pure gems. Just keep that in mind.

@ToddlingKnut: to summon monster, drop a gem on the side where it tells you which monster comes next, this increases the number of monsters depending on which level gem you drop
